I have been going to Kim for probably 2-3 years now. She hooked me in when I tried her once and my nails never lifted or broke. Being that I don't have a ton of money I try to make my fill/gel color or pink and white nails last 3-4 weeks. In almost 2 years I never had a lift or broken nail. For some reason lately though I'm constantly having nails lift and break in the last 6 months. On my last appointment without even asking Kim begins to take off all my nails and put on a new set. Fast forward yes she does a good job but I come to find my bill is $55 for a new set! Try asking a client before ripping off all their nails (painfully I might add where my finger bled) and telling the customer how much before just doing it. My other nails were fine and no other breaks or lifts. I was just shocked at how much she charged me without even asking (normally I pay $33). I feel as though I'm stuck between a rock and hard place because I love their pedicures (which kim doesnt do) but she hires real quality girls who give great pedicures. Also I really like the ombre Kim is able to do although yes my nails are lifting and breaking more. So even though I'm very upset about the lack of communication and over charging me without my permission I don't know who else to go to. Her salon is the best in Santee. I normally stick up for myself but I really didnt want to make a scene. I may ask for Navy in the future if she can do the ombre just because I think she does good work and she wouldn't upcharge me without asking! Read Less
