Only Kim (the male employee) can do chrome gel manis b'se the women are too lazy not to be bothered to learn. Regardless, I called ahead to make sure Kim was available for my chrome mani, I was told to come right in. I get there and that's when they decide to tell me Kim is not working that day...WTF? I realize the women hoped I would just give in and get a regular gel mani anyway but absolutely not, I walked out and got my chrome elsewhere. Kim is great, funny and hardworking. They where horrible the one doing my nails cut me. Then she just laughed saying she does that to all her clients. They rushed me out as it was close to closing my nails weren't even dry all the way next day nail broke!! Then they want to look at me like I ripped it off never going back again!!! I've been here a dozen times or so since moving to Santee. Im only giving 2 stars because they do a good job honestly. However they always have a wait which seems to me like they are constantly understaffed; otherwise managed poorly.The owner clearly has no staffing metrics. Most retail establishments from my experience run on 25% overhead and this is only after business is consistent. The deficiency in patron influx is a completely obvious from the ladder statement. Never been here before and definitely will never return! I wanted fills, and colored tips. I wanted a gel polish like I always do, well the guy recommended I do this glitter dipping. He put this gel on the tip of my nails after he filled them and dip them in this bowl of glitter and then it turned into a mess after that he did it twice to my nails because he messed up the first time then after we're all done I looked at my nails and they were still messed up there's little pieces of glitter on the sides it was really thick on the tip and I went back and asked him can you please fixes he said not till Tuesday let me say this was Saturday afternoon! This guy does not know what he's doing he did a horrible job he did not want to refund my money he wanted me to come back and Tuesday I don't live anywhere near San T I was just over there visiting a friend I live all the way in the UTC area so the last thing I want to come back is on a Tuesday for this idiot to try to fix my nails again for the third time! I should've never went to any other nail salon than my own and I saw that maybe he had good reviews so I would try it out dipping is a really hard thing to do and this guy has not perfected it and he's not very good businessman and telling me to come back four days later to get it fixed and I would have to live with these nails the glitter was snagging on to everything in my house I had to run to my other nail salon and pay another person to do my nails over again thank God they're great people and they only charge me $20 to fix it all! I took my wife here to get her nails done. Considering she is a regular I thought she was being token care of comes to find out she's been charging my wife 30$ for a simple fill. I decided to try somewhere new since my daughter has gone there after school for a full set and my regular shop is closed on Sunday I just wanted a pedicure for me (I really only wanted callous remover but decided to try the biggest package.The girl who did my feet did okay but she didn't cut the nails on the side of the toes that are ingrown. Also she then had an appointment walk in 25 mins early but she subsequently began to rush and put my flip flops on even though they weren't dry so two hours later and there is a chunk coming off.My daughter wanted acrylic nails but with reg polish and gel overlay instead the lady did gel BUT she didn't paint the top of the nail or the sides so there's white blotches every nail! Also she told me $25 and after she slid my card she told me the price for us. Should have disputed it but instead I just left a very small tip for her....Also we specifically asked for things rounded nails and my daughter ended up with thick squared flair nails! Oh well I decided to wait til tomorrow to get my own fill in my nails/2 eyebrows and a pedicure for my daughter from j and v nails in lemon grove (best place ever!) My nails have been on with no brakes for over 8 weeks now . but my daughter's nails last time she went after school lasted less than a day before one broke off....now I know why they fix free...bc they use shotty materials.Also make sure they sanitize the tools in front of u I had to ask her to clean them. This Saloon is grate. Staff is excellent and quality work to top it off. No rushing if you need to have work done that takes longer then store hour. Have gone to others and always return back to Happy Nails. Many different service offered. They are truly professionals and care how there work comes out. First of all customer service was great and that is the good part. On the other hand even after i said: i would like them "thin" they turned out super thick and too wide. I also had to constantly ask him to let me file them myself because they looked  too uneven. (Sorry but i feel that nails should be a perfectinist's job) They turned out really fake looking; i went home and tried to fixed them.Also, i am sorry to say this but i feel that you go get your nails done kind of also to "relax" and 2 kids running around do not make it relaxing... So this usually isn't the regular nail salon I go to but one day I decided to go here for a fill ( pink & white acrylic) since they were conveniently located to where I was doing my errands. That was a MISTAKE ! Let me start off by saying the lady that did my nails was very nice.. But.. I don't think she should be doing nails. It had been 3 weeks since I had gotten my last fill. All my nails were still in pretty good condition .They looked worse when she was done. She filed down the white part and left a thin strip of white tip. I asked her to make them thicker as they were before but she didn't seem to understand. Then. When she filled in the pink powder I could still see the original line from the bottom of where my other set had grown in.   To top it off. The acrylllic started seperating from my natural nails FAST due to the lack of effort. And within a week,3 of my nails had broken off. Keep in mind I usually go 3 weeks between fills without ANY nails even coming close to coming off.   I will never go back. Waste of money Read Less

I had decided that I needed a pedicure and knew that there was a place right next to my house. So I went, and I couldn't be happier with my service!! I had a fancier pedicure which was callous and sea-salt and it was still only 28! I cannot tell you how much more money I have been charged for that AND it still was a nicer atmosphere than other places. I had a younger lady, I believe her name started with a G, but I am not sure. I really like this place!It's not much to look at but the staff is awesome.  I come in for pedicures and have never been disappointed.   Cost for a basic spa pedi is $18.00, ( worth the extra $3 vs. local competitors).  Rather than trying to up-sell the whole time, they offer you a  list of options at the start for add ons, you can pick what you want and be left in peace during the service.They always take their time, give a good massage, have nice chairs and appreciate my business.  They value repeat customers rather than trying to make as much as they can off your visit. What a nice quiet relaxing place to get a pedicure.  I had time to kill before the hubby came home from work so I decided to give this place a try.  One of the best pedicures I have ever had! I am not sure if it was the 15 minute massage or my feet were treated with care.  I get Pedi's every week and this place has them beat as far as service and quality of work.    A definite on coming back!
