I came to LV nails on Friday and I was already kind of iffy on it because right after I showed up two other girls did too and the one girl that got her nails done there on Monday was already back and said that her nails were very bumpy and were already chipping. I had already set my appointment and I was already there so I let them do my nails. Only thing that I didn't like the first day was that the nails that the guy that was doing my nails replaced one of the nails and made it way too thick and it's a different shape then all my other nails, and he kept using the drill on my bare nail and went on my skin and my fingers were starting to bleed not everywhere but you could see the blood. After words I went home and they were fine the first day and then I went to school and one of my nails got stuck in my hair and the nail polish came completely off, and then the others that still had polish on them kept get stuck on my bag and took of a lot of the nail polish. So on Saturday I went back and told them what had happen and the lady that was fixing my nails kept try to blam it on my hands, she said about five times, "the nail polish come off because you very oily nails" and I said that's not even my bare nail that's the acrylics so it can't be that my nails are too oily and then she grabbed one of my fingers and said "it's your hand, they're too oily" and I didn't say anything. And she kept asking "you do this in the two days that you got them done?" and I kept replying with yes. After this experience with LV nails I will no longer be returning there. Read Less

I have been to LV Nails twice and BOTH times I have had to gone back to have them fix my nails.  The first time was because the nail person had the gel light tilted which made the gel polish set wrong.  This evening I went back to have my chipped nails (they chipped in less than a week).  I am beyond frustrated.   Not only did the rude woman put the wrong color on my nails she gave me a attitude when I told her the color was wrong.  I am looking at my nails right now and see that virtually every nail is a different color because some nails she did a third coat and the nails she "fixed" she only did 2 coats.  I was there for almost 45 minutes just to get 2 nails fixed.   I will not be going back and now have to pay someone else to fix my nails. The manager Danny, Helen and all the awesome ladies at LV Nails are the best I have ever experienced. Coming from San Diego, it was nice to have the service of humble hardworking and happy humans... Loved every minute and of course my nails are fabulously perfect. Gel mani pedi $55 score! Add paraffin wax treatment to hands AND feet for like $15!! Pricing and service was great. Pedicure. When I explained to the gal I dont want my painful toe nails cut out, she went with it, and made it a pleasant experience. My only concern was that the tool sterilization seemed to take place by hand washing in the back room, and I'm not sure how sterile it was, so I cant comment on that process either way. I wanted to love LV nails, the staff was friendly and she worked hard on my nails. Unfortunately, the nails only lasted a few days. The acrylic became brittle, the gel started to flake off badly, and the middle finger nail broke off completely as I was opening the door of my car. They're incredibly short so it's not like length was the issue. Also, when I was paying, the gentleman seemed annoyed that he had to place his phone down to help me. I LOVE this place! I live in Novato but have to come to SR a couple times a week. I just happened upon this place looking for a close nail salon to where I was located. I walked in, asked if I could get a mani and both times they took me right away! My nails are done just how I like them, and the prices are awesome. ($25 for a mani) I'll be coming every two weeks now. I think the atmosphere and decor are fine. I have used their restroom and everything is clean and tidy. I would give them 5 stars but I need to pay attention to how they sterilize their instruments next time I'm there. I didn't check that out. Derp! Read Less

My new "Go to" place for a good local mani pedi. Great selection of polishes. Atmosphere a bit unkempt and tacky. Could use a good spruce up. Ladies very nice. Some understand no English, which can be frustrating.the earlier mention of man in the phone is spot on! He's got a real addiction to it and doesn't bother to turn off the annoying sounds ! But , what can I say , it's close and affordable . I prefer My Elegant Nails in the mall , but it's a little bit more of a hassle for me  to get there . Read Less

I've been here multiple times just walk-in and they are always courteous and I never have to wait very long. They do a great job with artsy type manicures and pedicures. You can bring in a picture that you find online of a manicure or pedicure that you like and they will do it for you. They're super awesome! And I like that they have lower prices for little kids too. I can honestly say, I tried to give this place a chance..... 5 times. So, I truly believe it isnt just an "off day" thing. They dont listen to what your asking for, they take it upon themselves to use thier own opinion, to choose what they think will work,(which apparently does not work) the nails dont stay put. I got a french on my toes, and the line was crooked on all but one, didnt cover completely across whole tip of nail on any if them, and on at least 5, the white paint doesnt even cover to the edge of my toe nails,(kind of like a white stripe really close to the end but not all the way,)!!!!! This place SUCKS!!!!! With a capital "S"!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, OR MONEY TO WALK AWAY TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Read Less
