I've been going here for a few years. Staff is always polite and careful. Sometimes they may change nail techs in midstream if the one starting your nails isn't familiar with the product you want. Or maybe some other reason. But work is almost always excellent.Read Less

I have been going to this nail salon for years and will not be going back.  They have low prices for mani pedis, but you get what you pay for.   Over the years they have gotten worse.  Typically, I have more than one person working on my nails while the employees bounce between tasks and customers.   So as to not turn people away they start manis/pedis without having a free technician.  I have been left sitting for 20/30 min waiting for someone to come back to my nails, unable to leave because my mani has been partway started.  To make matters worse  I have witnessed unhygienic practices (switching between a customer getting a pedi and back to a manicure without changing gloves, etc).  Save yourself time and possibly a nail infection and go elsewhere. I have tried a couple of times to go to fulton nails and have been disappointed constantly. I tried to give them chance after chance and I never walk away satisfied. Some of the women that work here are not the friendliest and I had one occasion where the women made me bleed while doing my nails, and it started to hurt and she wiped over it with her fingers to wipe the blood from the cut she made... and I'm not one to complain about my nails being done but that is not ok. I understand mistakes happen and the clipper slips and you cut someone, but to not acknowledge it or ask if their ok or wash it off and put a towel over it, but she just wiped it with her fingers and after that I never went back. Great neighborhood salon.They welcome walk ins which for me is convenient when I have a few extra minutes. If you're a diabetic it's important to take care of your feet they have lots of chairs for pedicures. It's not a fancy spa, but Van is amazing!Ask for van and you won't be disappointed anyone else I won't vouch for. Read Less

Got my nails done by a lady who had no idea what she was doing. My nails lifted in 3 days. But charged me 48 dollars for a fill. i went back to get them fixed and the owner said she knew that lady didnt know what she was doing but needed people. Lol. And she charged me 25 dollars to fix the slopy mess. Then 2 days later my nails broke and the owner said they are to busy to fix it. Wtf...the sad thing is i been going here over a year and this is how i was treated...i will never go back. Read Less

The BEST nail salon EVER!I have been going to this nail salon for over 10 years. Van is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever been around. She has a beautiful energy and if you want flawless nails you will ask for her. All the rest of her staff are amazing also with great attention to detail. I've never had to wait more than 10 mins and I've never made an appointment. They are typically busy on Friday's when I go in but I am taken care of right away. Ive lived all over California and spent tons of money on my nails in LA and never have I had them done as well as at Fulton Nails! Read Less

I have been  going there off and on for years. I was upset one day I when to get a pedicure with my mom. We were a good time until they start put minty scrub on my legs. I did ask for an deluxe pedicure! They assumed I wanted it. By time we realize they were half way done. It look an hour and it hurt  because they rub my leg in the same place over and over. At the end they wanted us to pay three time more that we wanted. We said no. You didn't ask  if we wanted the deluxe pedicure. We didn't pay that amount. It was not worth that if I did want that. Was referred to Van, and I have to say, I have never seen a more professional and beautiful job of acrylics!!  Haven't had them in years, but a holiday party treat.  SuzanneWhile Van was great, a colleague of hers "helped" her one day by removing the polish from the gels while I was waiting.  She was careless with that electric file and just about went through my nail bed.  I am still waiting for the dents and thin nails to grow out, so thin I can't even file them.  So, I would say let ONLY Van touch your nails! I came here a few times, hoping my experiences would improve but I was totally wrong and filled with regret. The guy, not sure his name, works WAY too quickly and doesn't do a good job. He puts in a small amount of effort  because my nail isn't covered all the way and he goes really rough. Last time I went, my friend and I called in the morning for an appointment for two fills. We got there at the exact time the appointment was, and it took us an hour to actually be seen. Isn't the whole point of appointment is so you don't have to wait, or am I wrong? I just had my worst experience at this place. My mom and i came in here for pedicures with an appointment and waited 25 min to be seen. They sat us in chairs and soaked our feet in luke warm water which quickly turned cold. I sat at the chair in cold water waiting for almost 25. No one was around. All the technicians were in the back eating lunch. if you're running a business that is open all day long, breaks should be staggered. All in all this place is always busy and I don't even think they're that impressive. I will not be back. Read Less

I am the voice of my beautiful 16 year old transgender daughter and after her experience here back in August the memory of that day has  stuck with me I feel if I don't say something now then maybe someone else will experience the discrimination she had and I Just can't stand to see anyone else feel the humiliation she experienced or the lack of humanity the older male that works there showed my daughter like everyone she should be treated with respect and she had none of this from the moment she walked in til the moment she walked out with half hacked nails when we walked in we were rushed to choose a color not even 2 minutes later the older male rushed us to sit down and told us to choose the color after they filled our nails I find that incredibly rude considering the amount I have spent there in the past all the women that work there are very nice it's just him that makes this place a bad environment to walk into when we sat down to fill our nails my daughter couldn't decide whether  to take the Acrylic nails off or leave them on because school was about to start and no one knew she was transgender at the time so after only 2 minutes of deciding talk about being rushed nice experience we decided to take them off and in a couple of months she would tell her school and all her friends she was transgender  the guy looked at my daughter with disgust when she sat down and when we asked him to take the nails off he started hacking them off really fast and rough nails were flying everywhere I yelled at the man and told him to stop that he was hurting my daughter and embarrassing her  infront of all the customers I then said were leaving how dare you treat her the way you did and were not going to pay for this kind of shit and that he shouldn't work there  my daughter cried in the car as she looked down at her hacked mutilated nails she has never been so miss treated in her life my daughter should be treated the same as everyone else it is 2016 not 1960 if the man felt like less of a man for doing a trangenders nails well then he sure did choose the less manly job doing women's nails lol for all the transgender people out there your beautiful and worthy of the same respect as me and any other women deserve don't forget that be brave and have a voice only go where your treated right as a mother I am hurt deeply by this experience I love my daughter and We represent LBGTQ  pride from me and my daughter we love you all Read Less

I made an appt for earlier today and when I walked in they were very busy. I had 2 different people do my nails and they ended up terrible. I got a full new set French tips and they kept on letting other customers walk in instead of saying they didn't have time. This made them rush doing mine and the white tips do not match up w my nail line, the acrylic is way to thick and she didn't have them dry long enough so a bunch of dirt is stuck to the top. The lady did not listen when I told her what shape I wanted and just rushed to do whatever she thought I was saying but did not listen. There is also glue left all under my nails on my fingers. This is not the first time I've gone here and they have done a bad job. Not coming back. Read Less

I've never had a problem with the outcome of their work, they always shape my acrylics exactly the way I want them. The only way I'd say they can improve is to be a little more personable with customers, but I can understand that can be hard with a language barrier. Read Less

There's a male that does nails that sits in the back that is VERY RUDE AND ROUGH. Without fail, he cuts me with the sander or nail file EVERY single time and today was no exception. My nail beds (4 of them) are red and sore from him sanding the actual skin plus he used filthy, rusty nail clippers on me. Van does a great job. She is kind and she does great work. She waxes my eyebrows on occasion too. Avoid the guy at all costs. Read Less

I've only gone here for pedi's and tried them for a full set. Firstly, I have to wait over 30 minutes for my scheduled appointment. That's unacceptable. When they finally started, the dude was going so fast slapping the acrylic on that I had to tell him to go back since some of the nail wasn't covered. I shouldn't have to say this!Really disappointed in the workmanship, over booking and negative atmosphere. I rather go to beauty connection when they are nice and do a food job. Read Less

You know, I've been going to Fulton nails since I moved up to sonoma County from San jose 4yrs ago. In San Jose there are nail shops on every corner. And good ones at that! When I moved I struck out everywhere!  None of the nail salons could do a good old fashion long square nail. Everyone had moved on to shellac and shorter nails and couldn't do a long sharp nail to save their life......until I sat down with Van. First if all, her customer service and really wanting to understand what I was looking for was a breath of fresh air. She shaped my nails and chatted with me and made the whole experience awesome.  Now I drive down from healdsburg to get my nails done every two weeks and sometimes I do moan and grown about it being out of the way. And I have even tried other shops closer to home or work and have always left disappointed, upset and  $35 in the hole. And like clockwork, I call Van freaking out and she always manages to get me in. Anyway, this place is great, Van is great, her husband,  Kim, all of them. Read Less
