At first I thought this place was great! The price tag of $25 for a gel manicure definitely captured me... however, my manicure didn't last more than a week. My nails started to lift after day 5 and I just ended up peeling them off on day 7. They lifted right off in one sheet not little pieces. This place is great for if you want an inexpensive gel manicure for an event but if you want something that lasts go to Indulgence in Windsor.... theirs lasted so long I had to get them removed after 3 and a half weeks because they weren't budging! My mom used to come to this salon and I have gone with her a few times. The first time I went with her I left with nails that were pretty but the process was incredibly painful. My nails were sore afterward. I would say that I have a pretty high pain tolerance but she is very aggressive in using her tools. I decided to go back in and when I went in for my fill, she got upset and scolded me because a nail was partially broken and she had to fix it. Not a playful scold, but actually upset and had a little bit of an attitude, it really turned me off. Which I never understood because it is added cost to my bill and that's why I am coming here, for you to fix it! Her work is usually very clean however my last fill felt rushed and the nail she replaced was crooked. Also, like mentioned in some other reviews, she will just get up and leave you sitting there to start work on someone else then eventually come back to you (Or she will pass you off to her assistant.) I am from out of town and my sister, Mom, and I came here one afternoon for pedicures. There pedicures were fine. However, my girl was extremely aggressive with her tools and cutting of my nails to the point that it was painful.  After she had finished cutting and filing my nails down to the skin another customer walks in and my girl just leaves my foot under the gel lite and goes to start the other new customers manicure.  Maybe she had an appointment, but if that was the case they should have refused me at the door, and I would have gone to the nail shop across the street. Instead I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for one of the other ladies working on my mom or sister to finish to pick up where I was abandoned.  My girl didn't even say anything to me like, "I have to start this appointment, but they will finish you." Or something along those lines so I wasn't left just wondering when I was going to be finished. The other lady finally came over to finish my nails and commented on how short my nails were. I told her I had told the lady to just file them and she went over to talk to the lady. After she came back and told me that I had told the lady to cut them that short....a complete lie. I feel kinda fooled by these ladies today. I would say I'm a pretty good customer but it seems like they deliberately charged me more for a service. I'm going to be honest because with all the nail options around this town I don't believe I will be going back. I usually get shellac manicure and I saw a metallic color I really like and said I wanted that one. Never was anything said after that. The lady even asked me if I got a metallic before and I said no. Little did I know that they charge an extra $10 for this. If I would have known I wouldn't have got it, nothing was every said about an increase in price and to top it off those metallic colors are mixed In with the regular $25 colors. I felt like they knew I didn't know the increase but they did it anyway. If there is an increase it needs to be told to the customer. I spent way too much money for what I got. My nails have bubbles in them and the lady who did them was impatient with me but took FOREVER!! Two hours! Great service. I called about 15 minutes before they closed and asked if they could take me. I was about 20 minutes away. They said they would. Upon arrival, I was quickly seated in the pedicure chair to start my services. I had two techs working on me simultaneously. From start to finish, a pedicure and gel mani took about an hour. I've been coming here for a year or so. I've gone to other salons when Crystal is full, but have not found a salon as clean, detailed, and reasonably priced as this one. Even when they're busy, the service was not rushed (as I saw them trying to manage multiple customers with just 3 nail techs). I like the liners they use, which makes the pedi more sanitary. As for prices, I got gel nails, pedicure, and waxing (brows and upper lip) for 66 bucks (80 with tip). My gel polish usually lasts 2.5 weeks or more.I saw a review about nails not being trimmed, which caused a lower rating. In my experience,  they've always asked me whether I would like my nails filed or trimmed.Downsides to this place are they get really busy and paid parking downtown. Since I started working downtown, getting to my 'usual' nail place became more difficult, and I sought out Crystal Nails, and I am so glad that I did. They do a fantastic job.  I have my nails done with gel, and they last a good 3 weeks, if not longer - they grow out long before they ever chip or peel.  They really take their time.  Like, really really take their time, a gel manicure takes a full 50-60 minutes... (so plan your parking accordingly.)I love love love their pedicures too.    They have a fantastic set up.The downside to here, there are only 2 ladies, so make sure, even though it says walk in's welcome, if you are in a time crunch, call ahead and get an appointment and the other not so great thing, they have an OK assortment of colors, more so if you are someone who likes wild and crazy nails, but for us gals who like their nails a little more traditional, the choices are fewer. Just got introduced to this place through a friend last Friday.  I walked in impressed by how clean and organized the shop was!  I easily chose my nail color and got a full set done for forty dollars in under thirty minutes.  Throughout,  I was treated with warm professionalism and given a lot of time to have my nails come out just how I wanted.  I will definitely be coming back! amazing nail salon! i had a great experience here. i was recently in the santa rosa area and decided to drop by here due to my friends raving reviews about this place. the place is clean and organized. huge thing for me when it comes to nail salons. i got a manicure and pedicure and my nails looks amazing. the nail polish didn't chip right away and actually stay on my nails. sometimes some of the technicians can be rough with my hands, but they were gentle and delicate and made sure not to hurt me.
