I've come to Beauty Connection many times over the last couple years for waxing. The last few times I've been disappointed with the inconsistencies of people, wax types, and prices, but it wasn't terrible. After today, I'm done with this place. I called today before 2pm and asked if they had a same day appointment. They said yes and offered me a 5:15 appointment, which I took. When I arrived, I was about 4 minutes late and apologized and said I had a 5:15 wax. The girl at the front desk looked at my blankly and asked me with who. I said I did not know, they had not told me on the phone. She told me to go upstairs, which I was not familiar with as they used to wax downstairs, and said the waxer "should be" up there. She didn't even bother to check the appointment book. I asked for clarification on where I was going, obviously unsure of where I was going. She just pointed, said the waxer should be up there, and did not so much as walk in that direction to give me some assistance finding where I was going. I went upstairs where a hairstylist was, and I asked her if I needed to go down a hallway ahead for waxing. She was very nice, said the waxer wasn't there but maybe she was on her way, and showed me where to wait. She said she would text the waxer to check. When she didn't get a response, she was very helpful and called the front desk to ask what was going on. She told me that the front desk asked that I go back downstairs, so off I went. When I went back downstairs, this same young girl first tried to fish out if I had made the appointment at the wrong place. She called the other location, who confirmed I didn't have an appointment there, and then asked if I was sure I made an appointment with them. I pulled up their number in my outgoing call log and confirmed it was indeed their number. She then offered me a hardly-half-assed apology and said someone else must have made a mistake. She asked if I wanted to make another appointment another day, which I declined, as I made an appointment today for a reason. She didn't offer to come a next service, contact the other store to see if they had any appointments today, anything, and seemed very blasé to the fact that there was a mistake made let alone that she was providing truly terrible customer service. To top it all off, I sat in my car for about 10 minutes directly outside the store making several phone calls to try and find somewhere with a last minute 5:30 appointment (not easy, hence my frustration), and the same front desk girl was standing in eye shot just texting on her phone the entire time. Very unprofessional on top of her lack of customer service. Thankfully I found somewhere able to take me that evening, who was dismayed at my experience and he fact that I hadn't been offered a discount or anything to make amends for poor service, and offered me a free future service at her place because of it.
