SO rushed and not relaxing at all!I have been absent from Avalon for about a year,  having found a much better place in Santa Rosa that offers a better experience and is cheaper than Avalon. But, the other day, I needed a manicure (natural nails) and pedicure and my usual spot was booked. I walked into Avalon and they were able to take me right away.The atmosphere is much cleaner and more organized than when I used to be a regular but the service? Not up to par. I had brought in my own polish. The service was so rushed that I will never return. Less than 45 minutes and that included me using the drying machines. $43 (before tip) for both a manicure and pedicure and not worth it. Two of my pedicure nails chipped later that night. Ugh. Oh - and you have to laugh about the presence of pedicure plastic liners. Of course bacteria can migrate from the back and through the spout hole of the liner. I am hoping they clean thoroughly AND use a liner but I did not see that happen during  my visit. Read Less

I'm VERY surprised this place only has 3 stars overall! This place is great. Regardless of how beautiful and clean it is inside, the employees are all very nice. They all wear the same shirt which in my opinion looks very professional! They ALL speak clear English and the owner Kim is the best! This was the worst pedicure I have ever had. The lady I got was in a hurry... she did a sloppy fast job. She constantly looked around like she was bored. Another customer sat down next to me and it seemed she got better attention. The lady she got took her time and was a lot more thorough.... lucky her. I wish I could say you get what you pay for but I spent 40.00! After applying the gel polish she went back to filing my nails....huh? She blemished the polish then added another coat because she knew it got messed up... now my nails are a lumpy mess.... I did tell her I was unhappy... she made no effort to fix my nails. My wife always comes here to get her fancy nails done. The ladies here are wonderful! They always offer me a hot tea while I wait, and never make me feel uncomfortable or bad for taking up space. I plan to get a gentleman's pedicure, one of these days. Read Less
