Zumanity (aka Zumani) is my favorite & go-to nail salon in LA! They are hands down the fastest and if you're an acrylic gal like me, the longest lasting as well. I've tried countless salons in LA and every time I get my longish coffin shaped nails done at anywhere other than Zumani, they break!! This is the shop to go to if you have a specific shape in mind because they are perrrrfect at shaping. I've come here on my hour lunch break for an emergency fill & broken nail fix and i was out of there with 15 minutes to spare. They're very responsive and don't give you a hard time when you ask for an adjustment while they're working. The staff is very knowledgable and will give you great tips and notes that will help you with your next salon visit. I've never waited more than 5 minutes to be helped but they do prefer you call in and make an appointment. Everyone is so soooo friendly and just downright good at what they do. Read Less

I came here to get fills only because it was right across the street from where I was. They took me in right away and the service was friendly. The actual nail job was extremely rushed. She shaped them well, but she didn't offer to remove my cuticles and when it came it the paint job, it was sloppily done. My nails feel bumpy and uneven like clay. At the end she just said finished and charged me $50 without even offering me any cuticle cream or lotion. Definitely not coming back. Read Less

I don't know what all the complaints are about. This is the only place I go on Main Street after disappointing results from other spots. A regular mani/pedi here is $20 which is absurdly low for that much of someone's time & it makes hope people tip appropriately. Today I got an acrylic fill one one nail, gel on my hands & a regular pedicure. My toes look flawless. The amount of time he spent working on my manicure was impressive because I fix bicycles for a living. My nails looked like it. Now they look perfect. Read Less

This place is the pits. Right in the heart of my beautiful town.  Everytime I go, which has been twice in the last 2 months, the couple that owns it is SO rude. The techs are fine. Not the best but for a quick semi cheap in and out its fine. Yesterday I went in for mani pedi and when I asked to have them done at the same time the owner rolled his eyes at me. Literally.  Today, my mani is bubbling and dull and needs to be re done. I will have to be there at 10 to argue about it because my baby shower starts at 1130!!!!  Never again. Read Less

I've been to other $20 Mani-Pedi places and the polish lasted longer... they didn't do full coverage of the nail beds and it instantly had issues with chipping and dents in the polish. This place double charged me. I went there about 4 days ago and showed them my bank statement and asked to be refunded and the front man Roni was very rude and said he was going to check their credit card  statement and so far I never got a call back. I always go there and since I rarely check my card statement I wonder how many times they done that before. I was robbed basically. So bad. Read Less

Had my nails done here for the first time today.  Everyone was very nice and the atmosphere was welcoming.  They had a pretty good color selection.  I loved that I could show them a design and they could replicate it.  I would come here again and bring some friends too Read Less

This place is awesome! I can't believe I've been living around the corner for almost a year and never been there. For some reason I've walked past every time thinking it was a small place, but they've got a larger area behind the main-entrance. Their massage-chairs are great, not too loud and busy and the staff is great. It's a decent price and great quality mani-pedi - they didn't rush me through, but took their time and gave some complimentary massages. Much better than any other I've tried in the area! Read Less

I've been getting my nails done by Lynn for over 5 years, and she is excellent. I would recommend her to anyone and have brought many of my friends to see her. I don't have a specific pedicurist, but I've always been happy with the quality of service. Everyone at Zumani treats me well, which was a big change from some of the other places I tried. I have been reading the three previous comments and I am not sure if this is really true. I have been going there for now close to 6 years and I have never been treated disrespectful or have been rushed by any of the ladies there. The atmosphere since alright, it is a sute lil spot with good natural lighting which I appreciate very much and I could not ever say that this place is dirty. Everyone makes an effort to be polite and nice, try to even ask how you're doing even if there might be a language barrier. Regarding the one write up that she hadn't gotten her hands in water, that does usually not happen but I can't deny it. But the last write up about the girls rolling her eyes about not having received appropriate tip I have to say that I definitely can not believe that at all ! But guys I also see enough rude customers that come there and do exploit the kindnes of these people. I see how they treat them, the demands and I sit next to them and get very upset and ashamed. Please, be kind, be respectful next time and treat them equal since they really do a great job for the little money you pay. I booked 8 appointments at this nail salon well in advance for me and my bridesmaids and mom. I felt they really rushed us and just wanted us out of the chairs so they could get to their next client. They give very short massages during the pedicures unless you pay for more minutes. Read Less

I went in to Zumani for a manicure/pedicure. I was one of about 3 people in the salon. (not busy) I had two women helping me, one doing pedicure one doing manicure. When it came time to pay (before nails were painted of course) my card was charged and I had given a 20% tip. The two women looked at each other, looked at me, and began to talk in their language. It was clear that they were mocking the tip I had given. I asked if this tip was acceptable.. The woman first ignored my question all together and they said nonchalantly that it was ""ok"" with a slight roll of her eyes. A bit more was exchanged before I told them I would not be returning and telling others not to as well. To make matters worse, I had to sit after this altercation, while they continued to talk, and get my nails finished. I live in the area, have gone there before because of the good price and am always made to feel pressured to tip a lot. They are very rude and pushy and the woman at the front desk who appeared to be somewhat in charge did nothing to reconcile the situation. Many other nail salons on Main street.....go to them!
