Absolutely terrible. I made an appointment for 4:30 one day and told them I had to leave at 5. They had one simple task: remove my no chip manicure and they could not even do that properly. They soaked my nails for 10 minutes, then tried to force the rest of the polish off. My nails are ruined and for the price they made me pay it is not ok. Read Less

I've come here several times for mani-pedi, even brought out of town friends - my treat- and always felt it was clean and the workers were competant. The last time I was there it was on a weekday evening, (daytime during week was always better) the couple who worked on me gave it strictly a lick and a promise - total lack of workmanship. Not only did I get a sloppy bumpy gel fill, but when i went to show the owner, Johnny, he was very defensive and unapologetic. He could have easily made the situation a lot less awkward were it not for his terrible customer service. they were very argumentative and tried to tell me that was the way my nails were supposed to look. also, they spoke in their native tongue in front of me, about me.....sooooo rude. i'm shocked at the way this easily fixable situation was poorly handled. don't waste your hard earned money at this overpriced place unless you want a poor job done and want to be treated like crap. I have been going to Linda for bikini and brazillian waxing for almost a year now. I refer her to everyone I know and several of my friends drive from Long Beach and the valley just to have her do their brazillians. She quick, painless (as painless as a full brazillian can be!) and very professional. The price is only $18! I highly highly recommend Linda! I've had mani-pedi's done there occasionally when I'm pressed for time. They are very fast but I prefer to go to another shop that takes their time pampering me for manicure and pedicures. Read Less

OK so, you definitely cant beat a mani/pedi for $20 BUT its a little scary to go here. Ive chanced it maybe 3 times... they cut me every single time. The last time I went, the lady cut 4 different toes during my pedicure- I wish I was lying. The other scary part is, cleanliness is not their top priority. I ended up telling my manicurist not to even bother with my cuticles after I watched her take her clippers etc. out of a box CLEARLY marked ""dirty"" (again, I wish I was lying). Their top priority is actually getting clients in and out of there as fast as possible... and i mean fast. My nails and toes looked nice after leaving here but for me, its not worth the risk. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for quality, good sanitation, and competence. I called Main Attraction to inquire about silk nail refills and was told that they provided the service. I went there during the week and was seated for service. I have had silk wraps and silk service for approximately two and one half years. The technician at MA had no idea what he was doing; it was obvious that he was not competent with silk nails. His equipment was obviously unsanitary and when told that the towel he was using on the table was wet he shook his head ""yes"". . . after the 4th nail, I had had enough and asked for a competent technician. I got another technician who was better but more interested in fast money than quality. She told me that people in Santa Monica don't get silk because it is too expensive and that she only did one or two each week (not a good way to maintain competency). In short, my nails looked like a six year old did them - even the polish was not properly applied (all over my cuticiles that were not addressed). This place is definitely a nail mill, not a salon. Feel free to go here if you just want a quick, cheap, and questionable sanitary service. If you want quality service, I would recommend that you find somewhere else to get your service. Read Less

You really can't beat the price. The salon is clean and efficient (maybe a little too efficient?) and you really can get in an out quickly. They have a lot of operators, and some are better than others, but for a $20 mani/pedi you really can't complain too much. You might get a perfunctory smile but more likely a brusque word or two from the operator. But at the end of the day you're really not there for the conversation. I see in some reviews that people got a hard sell for other services but I've never experienced that there and I've been going twice a month for years! The reason they are getting 4 stars rather than 5 is that they can sometimes be too quick and don't take the time to really make sure you're satisfied. This review is ONLY for the Mani/Pedi service for $20. I have gotten other services done but feel they are overpriced. The BEST deal at Main Attraction is a Spa Mani/Pedi for $20. I only know of the deal on Saturdays so I am not sure if its all week long.... Anyway, everytime I go in, the place is packed but even with the wait, I am out of there in less than 35 minutes. This is great for me because I usually have a lot to do on Saturdays. I have to agree and say that everytime I got for my mani/Pedi, I feel rushed but you cant beat the price!! Seriously, I will usually pay $25-$35 for just a pedicure at a place and I dont always get great service there, either! Brought my girlfriend and her daughter for a manicure/pedicure. Service was extremely rushed. They tried to upsell multiple services, when girlfriend said no, they continued to pressure her to take more treatments. After receiving less than average manicure, proceeded to give 15% tip anyway. I'm only reviewing for Hannah who I went to sooo many times for a Brazilian wax. I haven't gotten anything else done there. It's only $18 and she does a WONDERFUL job. Clean and thorough and most importantly, QUICK! Like 20 minutes tops. I feel I owe her a review since I've came to her time and time again. There's a bit of a language barrier but it caused no problems whatsoever. She's sucha sweet person. I always made sure to give her a 22% (or more) tip. Sadly the distance is too much for me and driving from Pasadena (I know, I'm crazy right?) is starting to feel like it's a little too ridiculous. I came in with a black toe nail. My leg/foot shoot the next day was for a shoe company that specifically asked for clear nail polish. A technician named Sang did an amazing job. Sure it took 4 coats of ""surely ivory"" color to cover my toe and I endured some pointing when quite a few technicians came over to look at my black toenail, but she did an amazing job without a fuss. I will have to ask for her again to do my pedicure. I'm thinking red next time. In general, Main Attraction has always been exceptionally good to me. DON'T go here! i was reminded how much i dislike this place when i went to redeem a gift certificate recently. it is ALWAYS crowded which means they are rushing you in and out as fast as they can. i don't know about you but i hope for a relaxing pampering session when i get manis/pedis & this couldn't be any farther from that. they do one run over with the pumice and the massage is also weak. i would say with a 10 minute wait (even if you have an appt.) you are there for a total of 30 minutes for a mani/ped. its loud, polish colors are limited & unorganized, and the employees are lined up on the side ready to pick up the next guest...kind of weird. pass on this place, there are several better ones on main st. and my favorite is just over Ocean Park hill in the Albertsons lot called Lynns Nail Boutique. I've had a good experiences here. It can be crowded (wait can be up to 1/2 hour on a busy day) but I think it's worth the wait. They have massage chairs for you to sit in if you get a mani/pedi. Prices are reasonable - $20 for mani/pedi, a few bucks more if you want your nails frenched or buffed. My friend had one once where a couple of her nails were shaped slightly crooked (they fixed it after she pointed it out) but aside from that, most of the technicians are great. They have always been friendly (although of course, they may chit chat about you in their native languages once in a while - it's funny when they find out you speak the same language too). If you want to host a birthday/bachelorette thing there, you can reserve chairs and bring your own champage. Read Less
