Good location, usually not super crowded. I like this nail place more than others nearby, like Escape Spa. If Rainbow nails is busy, they will be honest about the time you'll have to wait instead of the usual "five minutes" they'll tell you everywhere else and then make you wait an hour. The prices here are about the same as surrounding nail spots and they have a good selection. I've had a gel polish done and my eyebrows waxed and was super pleased with both. They take their time and make sure you get what you want. Some people may think it's weird that they don't talk much, but I've asked them about that and they said most of the women working don't know English super well. The only up shot here was that was able to walk in and immediately get a gel manicure for $25, which is not a bad price for gels. But that's about were the positivity ended. The girls that work there never talked, to their customers or each other, which can make the whole process feel very cold and unwelcoming. Then there's the quality of the work, I haven't even had this manicure for a week and already the edges are peeling and tearing away. What's worse is while I was receiving the gels, a bit of lint fell into the still wet color and the girl doing them proceeded to continue on anyway. So now it looks as though my nail needs lint rolling! She didn't even go all the way down to the nail bed with the color, so I walked out of there looking like I had already had the nails for a week! I came for a mani and pedi and all was good until the lady giving the mani cut into two different toes. Hurt so bad took my breath away and they started to bleed. I should have left after the first cut toe. Now I have to watch carefully that they don't become ingrown toenails. Also, buyer beware of extra charges on your credit card after the fact. If you still come here after reading the above, I HIGHLY recommend paying cash and never giving Rainbow your credit card. They handed me a charge slip for $32 and I added an $8 tip for total $40, but they charged $48 to my account. I spoke with Sue a week later (after seeing the charge on my credit card statement) and she said it was for the extra massage. Yes, I asked for extra massage, and would have paid for it upfront, but not cool they just added it after the fact and didn't let me know about it. Really bad experience over all. Difficult to communicate with them. They keep pestering to try a more expensive option. Sloppy efforts to give good finish to a manicure. Cheap nail colour options too. I was bleeding in some nails and one of them got infected. I'd say avoid at any cost. Read Less

Came in on Thursday got a $25 Gel manicure and gave them $5 cash as a tip. I was satisfied at first but 3 days later I notice the gel falling off. I can still smell the chemicals from the gel on my nails and even taste it. And what upset me the most was when I checked my bank account they took out $30 off my card payment not $25! I've come into Rainbow Nails a few times and have always been satisfied. The services are priced relatively cheaply and the women who work there are sweet and are always trying to converse with you, it's a really comfortable setting.However, they get a 5 star review because not only are there services of good quality paired with good prices, Sue goes above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service.I called in at 6:37 pm to check what time they closed and she answered the phone and said that they had actually closed at 6:30, but if I wasn't far then they would still take me.I walked in 10 minutes later and got a beautifully done full set after they had already closed. On another occasion she checked how one of the employee's had finished on my french tip manicure and she thought a few of the nails weren't up to par (even though I thought they looked good) and she went ahead and fixed them herself. Been going to this nail salon almost since it opened late 90s.  Management has changed a few times  I still go there, convenient, fairly priced, a lot less chaos than other salons. Hustlin n bustling. I like a slower paced environment.  But i need to say, that the last FEW times  I arrive by opening time which is clearly visual 10am, on sat.,waited outside for 20 minutes, no show, i left to do an errand.  Phoned in to be sure they were going to be opened.  I informed the technician that i was here earlier and that they were not opened on time as it states on the front window and she just smiled, not even a sorry.  I will not be returning. (3 individual appts.) and one of us started the manicure; the other two waited 40 mins. and at that point decided we were not going to have our nails done. After 50 mins of waiting they were ready to do our nails but our friend was already drying her nails. Needless to say two of the three of us did not get our nails done even though we scheduled an appt. TIP; Be specific about what you want and confirm pricing in advance of services so you do not pay more than anticipated from reviewing the menu.Due two the above two items I give it one star. There was only one person working when I went in on a late morning weekday for a mani pedi. She was presumably the owner. I don't have very high expectations when it comes to this but the nail polish was stale, she didn't pay attention to the evenness and shape of my nails when filing, and she spent too much time rubbing cold lotion on my legs and arms. Also the rags that she used to rub my arms down were rough. She left my fingernails looking especially dry around the edges of my nails where she cut the cuticles. I have been here many times. I always get a pedicure and they do a nice job. I love to get a little design to make my nails fun and they do a good job. However I took my friends here to get manicures and they did not turn out great. One friend got a full set of acrylics with matte black and shiny tips. The acrylics were sloppy and not all the same length, the shiny tips look unfinished and rushed. My other friend got Captain America themed nails that were supposed to be matte but they didn't understand. They look ok but they did not do well with communication. Read Less

I wouldn't come back.. Although it depends on who does your nails. Told my nail tech I wanted long stiletto acrylic nails. Did not receive the length or the sharpness of the stiletto. She also hurt me while filing.  My friend (M) went with me and her nails looked great. M's nails weren't rushed. Her nail tech even redid a whole hand because it wasn't even with the other one. Under new management for the past few months. Gel set says $27 on the board and she charged me $35. Unable to make her understand I was questioning the $35 charge. She did an awful job too. She made one hand oval shape when I had asked for squared off. Some short, some long. Just awful. Never go there again....too bad, I liked the woman who did my nails before they took over. There was nail clippings all over the ground, she scraped my nail polish off with her fingernails instead of a tool.Broke three of my nails then didn't even try to make them even.Cut my nails on the sides and took nail off of places where there should be nail, making my fingers sensitive. Attempted to tell me I had on fake nails when I did not so that she wouldn't get in trouble for doing such a shitty job.Rushed the entire process.Filled too hard and when I said owe she just went harder.Bent my nail back after putting like a drop of lotion on my hand. This was my first time going to Rainbow Nails and the ladies were attentive and kind from the get-go. I asked for an acrylic set (which you can check out in the photos) from a photo I saw and Mai did a phenomenal job! I also asked for a pedicure, with a wax soak, that they had given a discount to. Overall, my experience was absolutely pleasurable. The only thing I recommend is to ask for prices for the services they provide. Love coming here! The ladies are all very sweet and do an amazing job.  The place is clean and has really nice products. The nail tech named Mai, I think, just did my nails and they came out perfect. She did a fill and gel polish. Loved that they didn't come out overly square and all perfectly symmetrical. Definitely will be back! Read Less
