Jasmyne is at the top of her game...she knows her craft!For the last 3 years I've been driving all the way to Los Gatos (on 17)! for my standing nail appointment. Previously, I tried 4 places in Santa Cruz and had given up on local nail services.Now I'm happy to say that I spend all of 5 minutes driving to the best nail technician I've ever been too. So, here are the reasons Jasmyne has my business. She demonstrates an incredible attention to detail. I'm a little jumpy when it comes to pedicures but not with Jasmyne...she has a gentle touch and still misses nothing. My polish lasts longer than it should and as someone who works with my hands that makes me incredibly happy. Along with her awesome skills, she's a very pleasant person... I enjoy talking with her. Called on a whim and they called in two nail techs just for us! So friendly and accommodating, even after we pulled them away from what they had been doing.  Wonderful atmosphere at the salon, everyone was happy and chatty and no one seemed put out that they had to squeeze us in. I can't say enough about how wonderful this salon is! I was visiting a friend and it happen to fall on the day I was due for an acrylic fill. I had an appointment somewhere else but because of the storm I had to find somewhere else and called this little gem and Quynh had an opening the next day.The salon was incredibly clean. Quynh is the sweetest manicurist I have ever met, she offered me coffee, water, tea, and even her tamale if I was hungry! Because my nails were in bad shape she thought it was best to do a whole new set, so she was so accommodating that she was able to have her next appointment come in early if I was able to come back in an hour.  (It wasn't for more money, she was concerned about me getting an infection and for me to have exactly what I wanted). She was so concerned about doing a good job and making me happy because I wasn't from out of town. I got chrome acrylic and they were IMPECCABLE. Thank Christ, finally a great manicure! I've been to several nail salons in Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley and every time, I walked away thinking "that was waste of time!" But not this time! I called after the salon had closed and left a message hoping to get a call back at some point, I got a call first thing the next morning offering me an appointment for that afternoon! I saw Quynh, and she was so enthusiastic, professional and thorough. She had all these suggestions and ideas for cute nail designs and even showed me some of her previous work. My favorite part of the whole experience was that she took her time on the details. She made sure my cuticles were well maintained, and that I loved the color and the finish. I had the best experience with this salon! She went above and beyond. To start of with I was late.... like 20 minutes late. In my defense I don't live in Santa Cruz and got lost trying to find the salon. But she honored my appointment. I got a mani pedi and it was by far the best I've had. She was awesome! I took my 6 year old here for her 1st manicure. She wanted a very specific Hello Kitty on her thumb so I made sure to call ahead of time to see that the manicurist could do nail art. Ouynh was super friendly and had time for us that day. Before our appointment she even researched different designs and texted me the pictures. She was very friendly when we showed up and extremely patient when my daughter fidgeted. We were super pleased with her pricing and A+ for effort. I was in town eloping (!) and needed to get gels done. I called and lucked out that someone had flaked on Emelie. So, I snagged their appointment. I can't even imagine why someone would do that because Emelie is fantastic! I'd never had gels done before. These lasted over three weeks. I only got them redone because my nails were growing out too long. The new ones I had done at a salon at home chipped and cracked in 10 days. Quynh is amazing. She is very detailed and thorough, and always does a great job shaping my nails as I get a lot of chipping. Pros- The blue walls/chairs/towels are cute- AC worked really well- No awful chemical smellCons - There's gel paint all over the cuticles and fingertips.- My simple ombre glitter design did not come out very well (see pics)- My manicurist multi-tasked a lot... she even took a wax appointment while my hands sat in acetone for 20 min. I have been getting acrylic nails for the past 25 years. I have had been to many different shops but this one is the best quality, feeling of pampering and they all speak the same language I do. It is on the high end of the pricing but, you get what you pay for. They sterlize properly, keep a clean shop and I never ever feel rushed.
