Thank you Abbey!! I was desperate to get my hair done as it had been months. I just had a baby in April and I was a complete mess. The lady who has done my hair for the past 6 years was impossible to schedule with. It took a month to make an appt and then when the day approached she canceled. So we called Arrow Beauty Bar and they took me in the next day for a partial highlight and Keratin treatment. I was estatic as I was so dramatically devastated that I had to live another day with my frizzy, dry, dandruff run hair. I have a new baby and everything about me is no longer. I just want to focus on my baby and not worry about my hair. Abbey did an amazing job and made my life a hundred times easier. Megan.I came here because my best friend referred me. I am a natural brunette who decided to color treat her hair to the extreme by bleaching, highlights, etc. I had become so upset with how my hair looked my roots were too dark and my blonde had faded to this obnoxious almost orange tint to it. Needless to say I needed some color blending and correction done. Megan understood I wanted to minimize the maintnence on my hair, and transform my hair to a much more natural look but still with some dimension so I didn't from such a drastic blonde to damn near dark brown. My hair looks PERFECT. I am SO HAPPY. I am already plotting on extensions next! My cut is literally perfect and I came out of the salon 10000% satisfied. Great experience here! These ladies are knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. It's a great location. There's lots of street parking and you do have to plug in a bunch of quarters, but that's okay. It's worth it. I saw one of the owners, Megan, today for my first visit. I needed a keratin treatment and wanted to try out this new salon. Megan was on time and clearly knows her stuff. The choice of beverages is a very nice bonus. I got sparkling water which tasted so refreshing on a hot Tuesday afternoon. Megan asked me about my knowledge base regarding keratin treatments, and got right to work. she washed my hair first and I must stay the washing stations are so comfortable!! My neck has never felt so nice during a hair washing! The keratin treatment itself was done very well. The chair is in a well-ventilated area which makes a really big difference when you're getting a keratin treatment. They carry quality products and  everyone working there has nice hair! Arrow Beauty Bar is located on Pacific avenue near downtown Santa Cruz. The place just opened few months ago. I got my nails done by Ashlie at this place and she incredibly sweet. She quick and friendly. The prices can be a bit pricey but the ambience of this place is so smoothing. They offer excellent customer service and if you're a yelp member you get ten dollars off your first visit. Ashlie also offers a 20 percent discount for UCSC students. Had my nails done by Ashlie today for the first time and I'm soooo happy with them! She gave me exactly what I asked for and was a pleasure to be around! Definitely going back to her and highly recommend! I got stiletto nails. She creates them with gel rather than acrylic, which was interesting since I'd never seen that technique before to create length. I've been getting my gel nails done by Ashlie for awhile now and just set an ongoing automatic repeating schedule with her because I'm such a fan! She does an amazing job with her design and the quality of her work is fabulous(I can usually go 5-6 weeks between appointments!)
