Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Nail forum has been my go to for over 16 years now! (Wow, just dated myself!)They have always been on top of cleanliness (my top priority) and also ahead of the trends. When I first decided to get a gel manicure, I would go to them and it was well done, no lifting after 3 weeks and mani still looked great! I never realized how much I appreciated them until I went somewhere else in CA. Never again! When I'm home in SCV, this is my go to. Terrible. If I could give it zero stars - I would! I had an appointment and waited 15 minutes before the girl even came to get me. I was even 5 minutes early to make sure. Then the girl doing my pedi did not even do the massage. She just rubbed lotion on my legs - thanks, but I can do that myself. After about 1.5 hoursssss....for a regular pedi - and gel mani mind you...the girl was finally done with my nails. and the gel was so thinned out by polish thinner, you could see through the polish to my nail! I was horrified. I've never had that from a nail salon - let alone one that took FOREVER and was WAY overpriced. Worst $90 I've ever spent. Oh and to top it off - the polish CHIPPED three days later. I've never ever had gel polish chip prior to about 2 weeks after getting them done. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Go elsewhere. This place is a joke. Read Less

First time at the Nail Forum. The place is nice not the usual row of chairs but nicely spaced and quiet. I called and I was able to get an appointment the same day. The person who did my pedicure  was very polite but I could not make out half of what she was saying with the mask she had on.The pedicure was clean and she did not cause any bleeding nor was it  uncomfortable. I had a heel scrub and she really worked to give me a  good service. I would definitely go back for a pedicure; but I wish she had reminded me about the massage chair.On the other hand I did not enjoy the manicure. The person who did my nails was pleasant enough but I prefer my nails soak in water before working on the cuticles.. She trimmed the nails and applied lotion to my cuticles and then wrapped them in a very hot towel. She went to each side to work on my hands until the end. At the end she applied a brown  colored scrub and told me to rub my hands together. She placed one of the towels over my lap and place a bowl of water on my lap to clean up the scrub. I thought she was doing this because I added the manicure at the last minute and she was in a hurry, but no I looked around and others were doing the same thing having the customer reach over themselves so that the person working on them could stay in one place. I did not like this. I felt this was very unprofessional. I have visited other nail places and have never had anyone put water on my lap so they didn't have to go to the other side of the chair. I may go back for a pedicure but not for a manicure. I consider this a special treat since I am on disability. I want a relaxing experience. I worked in the service industry for years and know it is important to make a customer feel welcomed. To give them a reason to want to return; to stand out but there was nothing special here. I came in one week ago today to get gel with powder glitter on my nails ($45 with tip). The lady took 1.5 hrs just to do my nails while everyone else I went with did mani and pedi and left before me. The next day I noticed chipping on one nail and then lifting on 3 or 4 others because the gel was painted on my skin. For $45 dollars I want my gels to last longer than two days! To make a long story longer I couldn't come in to redo the 3 or 4 nails due to my work schedule and the horrible rain so I asked for a discount for my next visit and was told no. Horrible customer service. They admitted the lady was learning and wasn't good at doing gels with powder. Completely wrong! Never going back and will not recommend to anyone! Read Less

Very clean. They sanitize, they are attentive, I love this salon. I've had a few bad experiences, but I've been going here for 2 yrs and am a regular. I go every 2 weeks and can tell you, this nail salon is tops in my book! Read Less
