I went on Thursday around 10 am for a walk in pedicure. Only one girl was working but I was the only one there so that was fine. She charged me $30 for a French Pedicure which I felt was a very fair price. My toes were pretty gross, but she did a great job of making them look so nice and presentable again. There was minimal massage and rock treatment, but it was nice since I was in and out of the chair with dried toes in less than an hour. Their building got redone not to long ago and they seem to have new massage chairs and pedicure stations now. I came here because I had a gift certificate but I would definitely come back in the future and pay out of pocket for the same service. Great place. Read Less

My grandmother lives down the street, and has been coming here for 20 years or more. She has come for mainly pedicures and has never had any problems. Today, myself, my mother and she went down; we called before hand and they fit us in thirty minutes later. My mom and grandmother got pedicures; two women were working and got them in almost right away. They cleaned out the tubs right in front of them to ensure cleanliness. My mom brought her own colour nailpolish and they were fine with that, but they have an incredible amount of nail polishes and gels! Both women were incredibly kind to my mother and grandmother and talked to them clearly. Jeanne did my acrylic nails. They are a graduated pointed tip. I have long fingers so I got a medium length. She was incredibly thorough. A little rough on my hands but did exactly what I asked, even making them a teeny bit shorter halfway though. The colour and length was perfect. I went in to try this place, my nails fell off 3 days later while I was vacationing.  Before they fell off, they were so rough by the cuticles they got my hair stuck in them.  I went back to her and she would NOT refund my money.  She is there alone for a reason.  Works alone and does not know how to do nails or run a business!  Beware!! I wish I had read the reviews before going. The place is really run down. Old chairs and not as clean as I would expect. The lady who did my pedi was rough. I tend to get ingrown toenails if my nails are shaped a certain way. Every place I have ever gone to has been fine with that and will not cut my nails. The lady there ignored it even when I asked her repeatability to not cut my nails that way. When she cut my cuticles, she was very rough and it kept flinching in pain from her. She was also aggressive when cleaning under my nails. The massage was again, rough and uncomfortable.To top it all off, the paint job looks terrible after less then 24 hours. Read Less

I can't believe I just paid money for this horrible horrible gel manicure. Fuzz is stuck and now dried into nearly all of my nails, my cuticles are uneven and gave paint All over them even after pointing it out. Paint will all the coats is about an inch thick and cloudy. Long story short, I never expect the most from a new salon that I'm not familiar with, but this this place was terrible. Only 2 ladies working despite how nice they were,Had no real knowledge of current nail style. My gel is lumpy, leaked down my finger past the acrylic and I had to move in the middle of my pedi to the nail techs chair because she couldn't do it at the same time. Asked to get a pedi, the woman there said "I don't have time for you right now, my client is coming." There was another girl just sitting there talking and laughing with her. This place is a dump. Literally. If you read my other reviews, nails are my thing. Got back from an extended vacation and needed a gel mani/pedi desperately. Awful. I live near by so walked in.This place is dirty. Period. During my pedicure I was afraid to let me feet tough the bottom. I should've just stopped there. Nothing in between my toes during polish and when I asked she said I didn't need it. Huh? Most of the gel colors weren't available. She said, "if it has a letter on it. I don't have. " that was over half. I skipped all massages and just hope, I didn't get some type of fungus.Too many amazing nail places. Lesson learned. If regular place is busy, live with jacked nails for a day. Worst mani pedi I have ever received (and I've received many). Lovely nice ladies who unfortunately don't know what they're doing. Main took over an hour to dry and bubbles were left all over my nails. My cuticle was cut that caused it to bleed, and nail polish was a mess all over my toes. Not going back. Read Less

Terrible!!!!!!! Pedicure was good but acrylic nails were done terrible. The flower was smeared like 10 times on every nail. And she still didn't get it right so I left with an ugly crooked flower on 2 nails. With a diamond all the way to the freaking stem. And she didn't know how to do a rose. The glitter nails were crusty and my white nails has red stains all over it. IM NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN! Btw not recommended and not worth paying for something she can't do because when she saw what I wanted she said "oh yea show me after I put the nails on" and after she said "Ohhh I can't do that you want a sticker" she then gets small ass stickers and tries to put them on my nail but rips. I was not impressed with the mani/pedicure service. The service was short and my nails were cut too short and not filed enough. She left some rough and misshaped nails. When she painted my nails she still hadn't removed all my old polish. Don't waste your time here. Read Less

This is my neighborhood go-to salon. I'm always a walk-in, so I often have to wait about 10-20 minutes (no biggie, thanks to Kindle and iPhone). Lin and her staff are always very nice, so I'm ok with waiting. They do a good job on my manis/pedis and eyebrow waxing.  I would recommend this salon. Read Less

They only get one star because I have no choice in the matter! I really wish I had read all the reviews before coming to this hell hole salon! Took my daughter and mother here. It's tradition! Our normal place is Q- NAILS, they where too busy today  and at least they admit it! This place was a joke to say the least! I got the Sloppy,rush job. She didn't ask me what kind of nails I wanted I typically get gel,I have no idea what I got,something extremely expensive with half the steps involved.  one girl was doing my mothers pedicure AND another gal who by the way brought her dog in there that looked like it was going to fall over dead at any second, she also brought the dogs BED,decided to skype and do everything rude as hell with no regard for anyone else in the shop.. the owner should have told her to take her corpse of a dog home and to be considerate of others in there tryin to relax. I received no base or top coat, I did get however a nice scrape from the owner on my finger, she was so rough it was ridiculous! They completely forgot my daughter wanted  a manicure... took someone else instead.  While my daughter had been sitting with me for now 45 minutes the woman who is already  doing 2 pedicures comes over takes my daughter  (barefoot mind you, because they are too cheap to provide the slippers) back over to put a top coat on... umm wth?!?!?! Hey! At least she got a frikkin top coat right?! We should have know the minute we walked up and their  sign said opened,with another tiny sign with the little clock "be back at 2:00 it was 2:20.... such a sloppy management and all together establishment! How they stay open is beyond  me!!!! They do not do anything consistent.  My mom got "warm rocks" and a half assed scrub (30 sec) my daughter got neither! Yet paid the same price.. I was over it! I'm  mad at myself for not checking my yelp I always look at my yelps! Uggghhghhgghhg I'M  SO ANNOYED! $ 70 bucks for 2 half assed pedicures and 1 half assed pedicure  oh now looking at them they are so thin... I wonder how much more annoyed I can get. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and was able to get my pedi done right away, while only one lady was working.  The area around this business is under construction, so from what I understand, business is pretty slow because of that.The lady (perhaps the owner?) that did my pedicure was super sweet, talkative and did a great job.  I would totally come back here... BUT... if I am paying the going rate for a pedicure which is $20 in this area... I want the massage chair to work.  Anyway, this business definitely has potential, and once the shopping center is fully open, hopefully Star Nails invests in some new pedi chairs that actually work, to lure in more business and make a positive name for themselves and earn a Yelp sticker for their door. I needed a mani-pedi STAT and stopped in without an appointment (and without having read their Yelp reviews!)  The owner, Leann, was very sweet and seemed very customer service oriented.  She gave me a really nice pedicure that included an exfoliating (salt or sugar) scrub and a great calf and foot massage.  But when it came time for my French manicure, she all of a sudden seemed very rushed.  My nails turned out looking HORRIBLE...beyond horrible.  I am ashamed to say that I didn't complain or point it out to her.  (She was that sweet!)  I just paid my money and left.  As soon as I got home, I removed the horrible polish.  But that wasn't enough.  She did such a bad job on my cuticles that they actually looked worse than before the manicure.  The next day I went to another local nail salon and had my cuticles redone.I just don't understand how she could give me such an awesome pedicure and totally flub my manicure(???) The lady that works here is too rough and isn't good with detail. I paid to have gel put on my nails and the next day realized how fake and thick my nails looked like claws. The following evening I went across the street to Kathy's Nails and paid her to fix them. In total, I paid $53 for the gel set! I had cuts and scraps on 4 of my fingers. The only reason this place gets one star is because they do not have a NEGATIVE STAR RATING SCALE - HORRIBLE experienceI walked in at about 2:15 looking for a mani/pedi. There was only one lady there and no other customers so I thought sweet, In & Out. Should have walked out. She started by making the water luke warm for my pedi, and then when it came time to cut my toe nails she cut them so short that I was bleeding. When I told her it hurt, she just kept on going. I was flinching... and the expression on my face was not happy. No apology, no nothing.  She just poured some stuff on my toe to keep it from bleeding. I felt it was extremely unprofessional. She also didnt even paint my toes all the way, many on the sides by the cuticle are bare and you can see the streaks. Then we go to work on my mani. I am thinking well you cant mess this up (hoping) YES you can. She clipped my cuticles to the point of bleeding and again when I was flinching and saying something she ignored me. Then she goes to paint my nails and does such a SLOPPY a** job that she had to use a brush with polish remover to get off all the excess. She sticks me under the nail dryer for about 2 minutes before she says "OK ALL DONE" and rushes me out the door cause she has to close to go get her kid @ 330. I was like WTF, she said be careful with your nails. I was like UHHHH ok...By the time i got out the door they were already smudged. Got home took off the polish and had to re-paint them again myself.I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Sweat shop of nail salons. Shitty service, and customer relations. Read Less

Not the cleanist place at all, in fact, when I walked into the back room to get my eyebrows waxed I almost walked out. On the plus side...the girl who did my brows was really friendly and did a great job. Let's just hope I don't get hepatitis though. :/ Read Less
