This place is not the greatest. Had a lunch date at a restaurant next to this place, and I had some time to kill. These guys seem to look down upon those who want to get only a regular pedicure (and not a Spa or Deluxe one). I couldn't afford it at the time, ladies! Once I was seated, Nail Technician didn't bother to show me where the remote control for the automatic massage chair was tucked away. Nail Technician spent less than five minutes removing the dead skin from my nails. Said that if I wanted a proper callus removal, it would cost me $8 extra. (Btw, callus removal was listed as part of the regular pedicure I was getting). Entire pedicure was so rushed! They do take credit cards for the main payment, though they request tips only in cash. I have been coming here for 10 years. Very convenient from where I lived. I tried a few other places near my work by it s just not as good. Kim and Heidi do a great job on nails. Anna and Tracy are wonderful on toe nails. Mai as well!!!! I am always happy with the way my nails/ wax look They can be very busy at times, so I usually will call ahead or make an appt. I have read some of the negative reviews and as I respect them, this is not the experience I have. They do speak Vietnamese amongst each other, but then I do speak French around French people! It did happen that one technician took a phone call while doing my nails, but I m also busy w my phone/book or reading papers, so I don t see a problem with that, since my nails are getting done and well done! As for The friendliness, never had an issue there either. They (and ALL of them have always been super friendly. Holy yikes. What a train wreck. I came to this place because I needed a pedicure and couldn't get in anywhere else. Desperate times call for desperate measures but my advice about this place is to trust the reviews!! Two people left the salon screaming in the first 15 minutes that I was there, guests were left waiting and unattended to, and what so many have said about the actual nail service turned out to be true- the pedicure hurt, was totally rushed, the woman doing my nails left in the middle of it to work on someone else, and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse the technician asked me to tip her rather than letting me tip at my own discretion. The entire experience was awful. I think $25 is a fair price for a basic pedicure but in this instance it just felt like throwing money down the drain. This place keeps going downhill... I keep trying to give them a chance because of their convenient location, but every time I leave in disappointment... And this last time I even left in pain. The mani/pedicurist kept picking at my skin so much that she made me bleed in 3 locations (1 finger on each hand and 1 of my toes - I'll attach photos)... Ridiculous! I was killing time in the area and decided to give this place a try, regardless of the reviews.  The ladies that gave me a mani/pedi were nice.  Heidi was quick and took her time to ask me many questions to make sure I got what I wanted.  The massage they gave wasn't too impressive, but I've been to places that charged just as much and they did not give massages.Also, they gave me a pedi, but didn't turn on the bubbles/machine.  They just let me feet soak in there.  Ann did my pedi and she also gave me a message.  It was ok.  But overall, they were kind and sincere.  And, it was hot outside and I noticed that they had A/C inside so that's a bonus!I read a review about the smell and I don't think it smelled too bad.  I've been to places that are not as clean, the people are not as sincere, they are not as gentle, and it the smell of the chemicals were really prominent.  I would say give this place a try, but make sure you make an appt or come at non-peak times.  I came in at 5:30 on a Friday and six came in right after me.    Paid $30 for gel refill on acrylic and $25 for a standard pedi.  These seem to be standard prices, even though I think it's expensive.  It's cash only (and they had an ATM machine on site).  I am definitely coming back if I'm ever in the area! I wouldn't even rate this place one star. I made an appointment and came, yet I was made to wait for half hour. When I asked the person who was going to give me a pedicure how much longer I had to wait, she told me to wait for another ten minutes. I lost my patience and yelled at them saying that they should have told me about the wait time and that I wouldn't have wasted time waiting. Love how no one helps you. They ask you what you want. You tell them you want a simple wax. Then the lady tells you it's cash only. The lady walks away without saying anything assuming I don't need my service done anymore. Hmmm helllooooo, fine I have cash, can I get my damn wax still? She has the audacity to start talking in Vietnamese to the other workers about how I didn't have cash so I need to go to the ATM. I've come here many times before. It has gone downhill. Never coming back again. As the lady filed my toenails, I kept saying "Ouch". She was so rough. I reflexively pulled my feet away a few times but she didn't stop being rough. I almost stopped the whole thing to just leave but didn't want to be rude. That was not a pleasant experience. It's too bad this nail salon is awful, I was really hoping to have found a place close by that could do my nails when I needed it near home. I don't know what's worse- the quality of the service. The second I walked in, I got moved from chair to chair (rudely) then I sat down and the lady asked me 3 times if I wanted to shorten the length of my nails. I don't know if she has short-term memory loss, but even the woman sitting next to me noticed. I got stared at like I was weird when I preferred to stand outside to wait, rather that sit in the chair. Halfway through writing this post, my nail technician (Mai) said "honey; will you give me 10 minutes and I'll be back?" I thought, maybe she needs to go to the restroom, or eat a quick snack, or answer an important phone call... instead, she hops on someone else's nails who had just arrived. I don't get it, if this is normal, tell me! I've never had anyone leave a service to compete someone else's nails. I would strongly suggest not to go here. The ladies who work there are rude, they dont even have basic courtesies.  They made me wait for 45 minutes despite having an appointment. When they ask for a tip they suddenly act all nice. Not just that, I got my manicure and pedicure...they did not have the colour I asked for and used a different colour saying it is similar. The colour that the used was old and dry so she added some nail Polish remover to it. She did a pathetic job of painting my nails and within a day my nails look awful. I came here last night to treat a friend for her birthday. What a mistake. I've been twice before and though it wasn't the best place I've been to, it was decent and nearby. The woman that greeted us and did my pedicure did not understand english at all. Which is an issue when you are trying to communicate nail service. Once I was seated with feet in water, as my nail technician started she suddenly stopped to reply to a text which took (not kidding) about 4 minutes. Which follows by her missing a call and trying to return it. I understand if something comes up but excuse yourself and apologize. She just sat there like my business was the last thing on her mind.One of my nails smudged and I told her as nicely as I think possible & she rolled her eyes as largely as possible. tl;dr- this place has a great location, terrible service and seems super sketchy with their cleanliness. See below for details. Wow ok, so I always read yelp reviews and this time was no exception but they are so convenient to where I live I figured I'd give it a shot just in case these reviews are exaggeratory. The place looks run down and not well taken care of. After my technician was done with my nails she threw the stuff she used on my hands back where the rest of her tools are. I was getting a gel manicure and my friend was getting a pedicure and at first they said they could not sit us together. It was only when I stated that other places allowed it (if the place had been busy I would have understood but when we were there there was only one other customer in the whole place) that they allowed us to sit together. The lady doing my friends pedicure stopped a couple of toes in and took a break to send text messages. Normally, nbd, but honestly she just sat there while my friend was one foot in the water one foot out waiting for a solid 3-4 minutes text. I laughed, it was pretty tacky. Then my lady became free to do my nails, I believe she was the manager, she set herself up- shoving things at me to hold ect. And then makes a phone call and is talking to someone on her cell phone almost the entire time she is doing my nails. I got a sparkly color and they had no concept of a base color. She tried to only do one layer of sparkle and looked annoyed when I asked for a secondOne of my friends toenail color got smudged and when she asked for it to be fixed the technician literally ROLLED HER EYES AT HER and did it after shooting my technician a look like we were idiots. Ok lady. I could seriously go on. It was so unprofessional, there was an issue with the bill. **DO NOT GO HERE!!**This place only gets 1 star from me for convenience and yelp makes you rate at least 1 start to write a review.Despite reading the horrible reviews, I was in desperate need of a pedicure so I took my chances. I walked in, to an empty nail salon during lunch time which I should of taken as a sign to get the hell out of there. It took a good 1.5 minutes of awkward eye contact before they asked me what I needed. Instead of talking, she pointed at the chair so I assumed that was my cue to go sit down.The lady working on my pedicure did not speak one single word to me, not even to ask me which type of pedicure, what color, what shape, do I want my nails cut or filed. At this point, you're thinking...well, maybe she is shy or doesn't speak, or lost her voice! NOPE! She had no problem yelling at her co-worker in vietnamese. BTW, I'm Vietnamese and could understand everything so I was waiting to see if they would speak ill of me--good they didn't otherwise they were about to feel really silly after I called them out.She threw the menu at me, threw the box of colors, I chose and we moved on. My nail shape is crooked, they're not filed evenly and then she just left me there to dry while her 1pm appointment arrived. This place sucks! I had a good experience with them. Came as they opened on Saturday and got a pedicure and French gel manicure without having to set any appointments Prices are fair and pretty standard compared to most places I've been to. There is a convince factor for me since they are walking distance from my home here.I was in and out within 1.5 hours and they started getting busy.  They handled the pressure well without sacrificing on quality. I have been going there for about a year. I kept coming back because it was only 7 minutes away from where I live and, at least to me the staff was very nice & liked having conversations with me.Although I will have to agree with the rest of the reviews, I could tell when they were talking about customers. I am not Vietnamese, but it's just obvious. And also about their cleanliness when it comes to their tools. They have used their tools on another customer, and then when it was my turn, they'd use the same ones on me. I have decided to "break up" with this salon because I feel like they could do better. When they are slammed with their customers, they do things half-a**ed. If you're looking for someone to do an awesome job with manicures, ask for Heidi or Mai. Tracy & Ann are really nice too. Very unpleasant experience! Booked an appointment, but it was midweek and I needn't have bothered, it was empty. I walked in only to be shouted at 'What you want?", so I said I had an appointment. All I got back was 'What service?' and then the lady pointed to the chair she wanted me to sit in. That was the only communication I got from her for the entire manicure!! All the staff talked to each other, (in Vietnamese I think), but never to me. I don't think this was a language barrier thing as she understood me very well. She threw a card at me and pointed, so I selected which manicure I wanted. At this point she just kept tapping the card, until I realised she wanted payment - cash only. The manicure was rough, she ripped at my cuticles so much she made me bleed! Then proceeded to use the cuticle oil anyway, so I wouldn't call this place hygienic! The nail polish was really old and she struggled to get it out of the bottle towards the end of the manicure. Needless to say, I went in looking forward to some chat and a pamper and walked out feeling pretty un-cared for. OMG the worst experience of my life! The receptionist has a horrid attitude and tried to tell me that to do a proper ""french"" you don't need to use a brush to clean the white lines. This is a darling nail salon! The colors are clean and friendly and the bar idea makes for a great place to take girl friends and chat while getting your nails done. I really liked the cleanliness of the salon and stations. I did buy the nail care product and so far am very happy with it. My mom was also pleased with the results. This place is a breath of fresh air! The atmosphere is cheerfull and exceptionally clean. Technicians are friendly, professional, and use methods during your manicure and pedicure that are more sanitary and rarely used in typical shopping center nail salons. The manicures are pretty good, and are worth the money, but the pedicures are prettty average. You can get the same type of ""spa"" pedicure done at local salons for much less.
