Excellent pedicure!!! I first went to C & J hoping to have a manicure and a pedicure and could t wait to leave there. It was dirty, small and and not relaxing at all. I had a very average to below average manicure and there was a loud kid screaming. Tina's salon was a much much better choice and I wish I would have started here. I got the $50 pedicure that includes the extreme callous treatment and this was BY FAR, the BEST pedicure I have ever gotten. My feet were SO soft and my callouses were basically gone. I came here with a friend as treat for her birthday.  am more familiar with other places but decided to give a try to Tina's as it was recommended. I asked for different colors for fingernails and toenails... it was a very light difference - and in the end they used the exact same color. I didn't realize until later so I needed to let it be. Also, one yelper mentioned here they didn't coat the tips. I did feel that was something they lacked on mine too.The chairs were comfortable but my chair wasn't working properly for the massage. It would fail and stop working. They needed to unplug and plug back multiple times. As we all know, gel nails are expensive but honesty I think it's worth because it lasts much longer. It was $88 (with tax before tip) for mani and pedi. I also didn't think they were very friendly.Until this point I was still ok with everything.But my nails lasted 4 days and one polish started peeling off. The next day another one, then another. So I got extremely frustrated. Luckily the places I currently visit are top notch, similar price and lasts way longer. Worst nail polish job I've ever had. The paint began to chip after two days so much so that I had to take it off completely. Oh my gosh. Why can't I find one decent nail salon in all of Santa Barbara?!?! My daughter and I walked in and asked to get a gel mani and gel pedi for me, and a regular pedi and pink and white acrylics for her. The entire pedicure took them 7 minutes on her and I was done in 15 minutes. My gel polish has multiple spots where there are thick globs. They never even started my daughters nails. After seeing how bad the mani and pedi was my daughter decided she didn't want to even get her nails done there. $118 for a max 15 min pedicure with numerous flaws. They do a great pedicure and gel set here! Plus the customer service is great.. Friendly people and relaxing atmosphere.  I walked in on a Sunday at 3:50PM without knowing they close at 4PM and they still took me -no questions asked. I have been going to Tina's Nails since they were located on North Milpas Street in a tiny little building. I have been to several other nail places in Santa Barbara and this is still my favorite! The options for nails are endless, the people there are always friendly. You will never walk in the front door without being greeted and asked immediately what you would like to have done. The inside is very nice, the massage chairs are awesome and the place is pretty big for Santa Barbara. They practice very clean hygiene, which is super important to me! They have tons of nail colors, especially if you opt for Gel. I also love that their color samples are organized from light to darker colors so it's easy to pick the exact shade that you desire! I used to go to Tina for several years but she has moved on to retire and enjoy her life. The owner Jason has been there since they opened and in my opinion is one of the best. He is super friendly, makes you laugh and really knows his clients. The other manicurists are good too but he is still my favorite. They are a little pricey but I was recently told that they may be dropping their prices to match the competition. If you want a great mani/pedi definitely try out this place! Read Less

Wow can I say disappointed in this place. I have been coming here since I was little girl and happened to be by the area so I decided to revisit for a mani-pedi. I only got a pedi because it took the lady an hr to finish not only did she cut me but also the polish work was horrible so I decided to skip on the mani. This place has gone way downhill...very few colors to choose from, and the ones available are very old, crusty.  Staff are not friendly, and much more involved with their hand-held gadgets than making any effort to acknowledge that they are sitting in a business and it wouldn't kill them to interact, with customers.  My person was rude, distracted, texting while performing the mani pedi.  $48- not worth it. We tried to go to Salon Del Mar in the Hyatt, but they were understaffed so we wouldn't be able to get our nails done at the same time. They suggested we try Tina's Nail Salon right down the block. I got a Shellac Gel mani and a pedi with sole treatment done by two nail techs. My mani turned out real nice. My pedi was less than perfect. They weren't shaped very nicely. I had to get her to redo the shaping. I would say get your nails done by the young guy with shoulder-length hair (5 stars for him) but avoid the young woman with the red lips and b-tchy resting face (2 stars for her).So, the best way for this woman to improve is for her to ask herself, "If I paid $78 to get my mani and pedi done, would I be satisfied with the work that was done?" Tina's Nail Salon is fantastic! I was searching all over the place for a nail salon where I can take all of my bridesmaids, flower girls and mothers. So many nails salons never returned my phone calls or emails. Or, a lot of them couldn't accommodate the number of girls I had. Tina's Nail Salon was the ONLY place that emailed me back, returned my phone calls. They were so on top of it and professional. They were also very flexible. I had to change the time several times on them; but they were so easy to deal with.The actual salon is so cute and clean. It's in a really cute strip mall with plenty of parking. When we first came in, they were so welcoming and inviting. It was probably overwhelming because there were so many of us (about 17). They easily accommodated all of us. They put our champagne in the fridge and helped us serve it. The quality of their work is fantastic! It's been 2 weeks since my wedding and no chips! The gentleman who answers phones, makes appointments and ensures you are comfortable and taken care of is an absolute gem and a nicely added touch.
