I just went there last Sunday, I’ve gone there ever sense I was in high school & they have always been so good , but the last couple of times I’ve gone my nails have looked so bad. They rushed through the French tip acrylic and there are bubbles everywhere and my nails are crooked and there is acrylic over the side of my fingernails on my skin and if I try to take it off it will take the whole nail off & while she was drilling she cut me atleast 6 times. I refuse to go back after having such horrible service after I’ve gone there for years. They have seriously lost their touch and I really hope the people that read these reviews take this review seriously and does not go here. I am not the only one this happened to. I went for a nice vacation from LA and decided to come here due to good reviews well the lady was in a rush to do my nail and now a possible problem she mentioned I had to be cleaned up and it was the worst pain ever she went to deep and now I have a possible infection nd my toenail might fall off because she cut too deep in my toe nail on my Ingrown and made me bleed and bleed and covered it up with nail polish I immediately went to a store to get nail polish remover and begin treating my nail my skin had a huge while and my cut and toe is yellow. Tammy did my sister myself and mom nails .  . She was super nice . She was great at her job . Great nails . Definitely  come back to her .  . Nails I did were acrylic color 36 o think . We stopped in last minute for a quick gel/acrylic color change and were they were able to accommodate us.  Tammy did a great job with my nails and left me very happy!  I loved the quality, but a little pricey.  (That's the reason we gave 4 star instead of 5, maybe Nails in Orange County are just more affordable!) My two kids and I went in today after shopping on state street, and my son was for the first time willing to try a pedicure- he's thirteen and I've been telling him for years it's a nice massage and very relaxing. As it turns out, the technician only cut his nails - in a very aggressive way going into the corners even after I asked her not to- and gave him no foot or calf rub at all. So not only was in no way pleasant, but they had the nerve to charge $28 for this experience- the same price my daughter and I paid for the full pedicure including nail polish and massage. Read Less

This was the most painful and overpriced mani pedi I've ever received. She started off by filing on my bare skin on my toes and rubbed me raw and then stabbed my other big toe while she was supposedly removing dead skin. She never apologized and was extremely defensive about making me bleed. She also jammed on the nail beds of two of my fingers with the cuticle tool during my manicure and made me bleed two more times! She also neglected to use lotion or do any sort of massage. On top of all that, there was no music playing and she and another manicurist were yelling and arguing with each other during my entire manicure. It was painful and not relaxing! I've been coming to Tammy since I was 15 years old and for the following 16 years she has done amazing work, on my 3 daughters and myself. Has always gone above and beyond to make us feel right at home. Our nails and toes are always on point. Pros: I usually go here when I want to get a set of acrylic nails. The husband does an amazing job! Plus he's gentle, attentive, and very nice. HOWEVER Cons: I absolutely refuse to let his wife do anything to me whatsoever!!! In the area of nails, she is rough, hasty, and does not pay attention!!! My boyfriend got his eyebrows done by her today, and it's safe to say she is the same... She was hasty, didn't pay attention, and didn't listen!!! Unfortunately, his eyebrows turned out lopsided, majorly thinned out, and were arched like a woman's!!! Knowing that I was In a rush to get to a class, she took over my nails and banged them out super fast, but still did an amazing job. (This is a long one, but it is a must read!)I am a glam girl to the MAX and I am an absolute PERFECTIONIST when it comes to my beauty regimen. I like my services done just like I like it and I want it done by someone who cares and who will always do an amazing job every time I come in- and that's Tammy. We've all been to those salons where the nail technicians just brush you off and don't give the slightest inclination that they care about your presence or what you want out of your service- but not Tammy. She has been the store owner for over 25 years and she knows how to treat her customers right to ensure they leave feeling good and happy about their service. I've been coming here for over a year now, every two weeks, to see this amazing woman who is not only a GODDESS at her work, but also one of the kindest and most loving/caring people I've ever met. She is LITERALLY the best nail technician I've EVER had, and there's no way in hell I'd ever go see anyone else. I constantly receive compliments on my nails outside of the salon (probably one to three times or more on the daily) and it's because Tammy does such an amazing job!!Because I've been coming here for so long now, I don't even have to tell her what I want or the shape I want to achieve. Because I want the same thing every time, Tammy actually REMEMBERS and does it flawlessly. Of course she will always consult with me and make sure I want the same thing, but ladies, common, where are you going to find that anywhere else? I had my nails done at Fancy nails for the very first time. THEY WERE AMAZING. Took me in for an appointment promptly and were very warm and accommodating. I have never had such a great experience as I had here. My nails looks amazing. The woman who did them made sure that she was giving me what I requested by doing a trial on one nail, allowing me to decide if I wanted anything changed. I am furious - this was by far the WORST nail salon I've ever been to. I made an appointment, but still had to wait 10 minutes to be seen.She was rushing so much that it took her only about 10 minutes to do my acrylic set. She did the worst set I've ever seen... My nails are completely uneven AND she had the nerve to ask me if I would mind doing my own polish at home!!!!AWFUL waste of $30.00. And now I have to take these ugly nails off. This nail salon has to be one of the best places I have gone to in Santa Barbara. Out of all the nail salons I have been to in this town they have the best nail art I have had done. They do not only do the generic flower designs but they also do those nail jewelry embellishments and intricate designs that you would usually see done in places like LA. Not only that but the prices are very reasonable and the manicurist (Lina) took her time doing the nail art which is a big plus since it shows that she cares about her work. The first time I went here the experience wasn't my fave but I have found a God sent manicurist! Listly is THE best manicurist in SB and I've tried EVERYWHERE ! She knows how to do all the trendy jewel embellishments , she takes her time and does not cut corners. I love her and Tammy so much! They always fit me in and do an excellent job ! Not very impressed. I love gel manicures, especially with nail art. Driving down to see my lady in Port Hueneme every 2-3 weeks is not possible so I have decided to hunt for a decent place within Santa Barbara. I know it'll be more expensive but if the quality is there then the time saved in driving & gas will be worth the extra cost. Fancy Nails was my first try in town for gel art and the hunt will continue...$66 for a gel manicure with a simple design which involved drawing lines in 2 different colors?! Ridiculous. The tools? Not sanitized and I was cut twice. Not even an inviting environment. The furniture is older, the place feels cheap and basic. One of my gels chipped in 2 days, luckily I was able to salvage it and the rest of the gel polish lasted 1.5 weeks prior to lifting. Read Less
