When I first moved to SB 4 years ago I stumbled upon this place and have been going here ever since.  Linda and the ladies do a fabulous job.  I've had regular mani-pedi's to gel to acrylic and always leave happy. hey get the clientele why should this fabulous place put up with anyone who are out of the norm for business. mIf someone pulls back they will stop they can get bi. trouble or could you sue them . I have never had a bad experience.My husband went a couple of times and he had a weird experience . Personally my husband will not be doing his nail pedi again. The person was kind of rude the way she said ,Ax my husband still found dirt in his nails wanted to clean it out they handed him tool which he was fine but when they wanted tool ,"Give me my tool". Never going back again!! Made an appointment and 20 minutes into the pedicure I said "Oww" after my toe cuticle got clipped unexpectedly & the Vietnamese woman working on my foot got annoyed with me, got up from her chair & refused to continue to do my nails. In the middle of my pedi I was basically told to leave and " come back later." What a joke! No help from the manager who said "she refuses to finish you now and no one else can do your nails." It was insulting & rude and not how a customer should be treated. It wasn't my fault the woman did not speak English to understand it was OK to continue. Even when I asked she refused. It's a budget nail salon so I happily took my business elsewhere. What's also rude is the women all talk about clients and even you right in front of you. You may not be able to tell what they say but it's uncomfortable knowing they are doing that. I witnessed a woman who left the salon today because of the time it would take and they were laughing as she walked out and talking about her. I don't have time in my life for this type of salon. So please note:  I'm a guy. With that in mind, this place is the best. I get manicures only. Started about ten-twelve years ago and I've been around, but a regular here three years or so. The boss is fun, knows her stuff and doesn't take any s--t from anyone, including me. With that said she is funny and is down with my dry sarcasm. My nail person is Huong and she does a consistent and great job and is almost as fun as Linda. Despite a disposition that I understand some may not appreciate, these women and this place have gone out of their way to do me personal favors not really associated with business. I have been going to Best Nails every two weeks for the last five months. If you are anything like me you've spent your life bouncing from one spot to another. Maybe settling at one place for a few visits because they seemed decent the first couple times until they cut you or do a substandard job eventually.  If you can relate to this look no further and go to Best Nails. The shop is small and clean. Huong always does my nails, but I would assume that I would get an equally great service from any of the girls there. I get a gel manicure twice a month and pedicure once a month. They have a great selection of colors, are fast enough (but still relaxing), super clean, and never ever cut/file my skin. Your gel polish doesn't get taken off with a drill (yikes!) and it always last two weeks (I never wait and see beyond that). Everyone that works here is friendly and welcoming. I'm not from the area and here just for 4th of July. This place gets the 2 stars just for being open on Forth of July. However the service was horrible and I had to do my own nail design. They painted the base coat for me, then asked me to move out of the massage chair for someone else since I just said I would do my own design. They attempted a very easy stripe and mangled it. I'm thankful they were open but that's about it. If somewhere else is open for you, I would suggest you go there. Read Less

Made an appointment ahead of time. Bedside manor was minimal, especially when we walked in.The good: variety of color choices, variety of services. The massage chairs were wonderful! They do give you a quick foot massage with lotion (for pedicure). Best of all, price was very reasonable!!!The bad: only saw white clientele (I am white myself) and I have read some former reviews that they prefer white clientele. I stopped by to give this place a try. A woman looked up and asked what I wanted. I asked if they had someone who did acrylic nails. She said no and went on about her business. Nobody else asked if I needed anything else or when I could get acrylic nails. I looked at their price sheet and of course they do offer the service just not to me I guess. Hope you look rich and white if you want to even be acknowledged at this place. That is the clientele getting service when I was there anyway. I guess I will spend my money somewhere else. Read Less

Very nice staff. Reasonably priced and typically very good about accommodating walk-ins. I got the shallac mani (French) and when one slightly chipped a week later, Mina was quick to fix at no charge. Not very talkative, but I rarely want to carry on conversation when getting pampered anyways. All and all a satisfying experience. Read Less

I called ahead and was told a 6:15 appointment was fine (with a 7 pm closing.) The ladies were friendly but that was the sole strength. My nails were cut with a cuticle clipper. Underneath the nail wasn't cleaned. While she polished the technician was having a conversation with her colleague - barely watching my nails! The foot scrub brush was used. Polish choices slim in regard to higher brands - especially for $26. I was rushed out at 6:45 and told "sorry." There are much better nail salons here in SB. Read Less

This is a great salon for getting the full on mani/pedi in a delightful massage chair. They are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. I have work late and they stayed an hour later to do my mani/pedi that I was in dire need of having done.Nothing fancy but I would definitely recommend as a great local spot! Read Less

Came in with a group and thought it was barely okay, the pedicure was nothing special for the price and the gel manicure is where they loose stars and fast, i picked my color and everything and when she started to apply it i saw that it wasn't the color i picked a quickly told her and she said no... the color will change... well the color didn't change because it wasn't the color i wanted!!! She would aggressively tap my hand each time she wanted the different hand which I thought was rude. And her massage on my arms lasted less then 30 seconds, spare yourself the 40 dollars for a bad gel manicure that chipped in five days and go somewhere else Read Less

Love this place. Good value and availability is pretty consistent. The owner , Linda , is a hoot. She runs the place with the humor of a drill sergeant, and I am always laughing at her antics. SATISFIED AND HAPPYVery nice manicure/pedicure, sweet ladies took good care of me.Unpretentious, down-to-earth and very pleasant. They let me bring my quiet little dog!I'm new to the area and have tried several salons, some high-end, some not-so-high end.  This one was just right.  Nothing fancy but good service. Another place in Montecito is excellent too, but the workers there are so rushed it made me feel nervous and not cared for very well. These ladies took their time giving me a mani and a pedi at the same time, which was a great idea--a first for me.
