This place was the worst experience of my life honestly. My friend suggested we go in because it's cheap (huge mistake). I went in last minute for acrylics and I had this horrible evil lady. She was snotty and sweaty and so awful. My fingers are sore by how rough she was filing them and she ripped underneath my nail it was stinging horribly throughout the whole time. I felt uncomfortable and asked her if she did something wrong. She replied with "I do nail 30 years sometimes 18 ppl at a time nothing wrong"... when she was filing down my nails I actually felt pain and the heat from the power tools. I asked her to fix a nail and she grabbed my hand very hard. I just wanted to get out of there. I paid as fast as I could and my friend took one look at my nails and marched back in the nail salon since I was too shy to stand up for myself. I asked for half of my money back which they couldn't do of course and the lady popped up behind me while I was trying to avoid her and she literally grabbed my hand and started twisting it after I showed them one of my crooked pathetic nails.... she said my "no look her finger the problem!" Implying that my finger was crooked. Never heard that one before. Honestly absolutely disgusted. I wasted 45 dollars and I have no idea how this place isn't shut down. The lady rushed through the entire process. Rushed me though choosing a color then ended up not even having the color I wanted. She didn't size the nails properly so now both my thumb nail is glued to my skin. She nicked my cuticle too. Half the time I couldn't understand her. Wouldn't go here again. May as well dip your fingers in paint... Rather than go here. My wife had her nails done here by Terry. Within 2 hours, one had fallen off. They reapplied it for her but the next morning three more had fallen off. As we are visiting, we couldn't keep going back to get them redone, so simply requested a refund. This was flatly refused and we were told it was my wife's fault. Terry, confirmed she is the manager and owner and that she didn't care. DO NOT GO HERE. On my honeymoon and had a shellac manicure done in the UK for my wedding which lasted perfectly but had grown out. Went to treat myself and asked for a gel manicure. They were rude, constantly talking to other people and stopping my manicure to do other things. My nails were red raw after they had removed my shellac and scraped it off. The end result look ok although my nails were all different shapes. A few hours after it was done I went to a bar and sat for a few hours. During this time one gel nail came completely off !! I went back and the fixed it. The next morning a further 3 had come off. I went back to ask for my money back and she said they would not refund my money but would fix it. I said my nails were too sore for her to fix them as they could not withstand any more filing. She said it was my fault as my nails were probably oily. There is no sign that says no refunds. I paid $70 for one of the worst gel manicures I've ever had. The pedicure was great, but the manicure was awful. The manicurist didn't even cover my whole nail in gel polish. I kept telling her I wanted my whole nail painted and she dismissed what I said. They look awful. My best friend went here to get a set of acrylics done and they absolutely botched them. Made them way too short and wouldn't make them round. She kept asking them to make the nails round and the manicurist refused to do it. So she stopped him, paid and stormed out. Got them fixed for only 30$ elsewhere. Don't waste any money on this place. The service was fine. For the price, however, I expected a far better finished product. Coming from NYC, the mani/pedi was $45, almost double the price (quite surprising) and my manicure only lasted 2 days. 2 days is NOT ok for any professional manicure, doesn't matter where it's done. The place was empty when we arrived--should have been our first clue--but we were served right away which was nice. They did my manicure and pedicure at the same time. I do not like this as it is uncomfortable to sit in that twisted position for too long. And my nails were cut unevenly and painted with one side not fully covered, making it uneven and crack.Highlight would be the massage chair. It was quite nice.I would save my money and do it myself (would look better and last longer) or find somewhere else. We had an appointment but apparently that doesn't matter because they took a group of 5 right before we showed up. The service was horrible, they rushed through my pedi and mani! This was the WORST place I have EVER gotten my nails done at. I took my daughter for her 9th birthday to pamper her (we get our nails done often in Carp) and they were very rude to her. They hurt her when they were giving her a manicure and the lady that did her nails was very short and seemed irritated for having to do her nails. If she fidgeted they would pull her arm back to them and she even got tears in her eyes at one point. WORST SERVICE IN SANTA BARBARA!!!!!!Then I got a Gel Manicure and it chipped the very next day. My 2 granddaughters and I had gel manicures last Sat. It could not have been worse! My male manicurist's hands shook so much I was afraid I'd loose a finger. The gel light kept turning off and either he couldn't hear or he'd ignore me , finally I kind of had to yell at him that the light went out.My nails were so lumpy it looked like a bad acrylic job. A woman came and said something to him and he got the electric file out and tried to fix it. I told him to stop, I was afraid he'd really hurt me.One of my granddaughters manicurist kept smearing the black polish all over her fingers so he'd take it off and start all over again. The other granddaughter had lumpy nail polish too, and it was a blue black color and not the one she had picked.The place is filthy , there was filing powder all around the manicure tables. This is hands down the WORST nail salon I have ever been to. It's highly overpriced and my manicure was awful. They filed off my gels instead of scraping, but they weren't careful and they also filed off my skin. I had three bloody fingers on each hand. My nails were uneven-some really thick, some thin, some with bubbles. The gel started peeling off after less than a week. I should have read the reviews before I went!! My boyfriend and I went to Santa Barbara for my birthday weekend. On September 3 2016 my boyfriend decided to take me here and for them to do my nails. I really should have read their reviews before I went in there, but i was in need of a manicure and pedicure. I told the lady that i wanted gel nail polish and it was $35 which i don't mind because thats what i pay in LA. Two days later the nail polish started to came off, and this has never happened to me! The nail polish looks not well painted after the first day. Onto my pedicure, the lady who was doing my pedi asked if i wanted sea salt and it was going to be extra which i didn't mind my skin felt amazing. When i was finally done, my boyfriend went to go pay and he later told me that the lady told him to sign and print on the receipt since they have a lot of people claim they were never there. I Have been coming here for many years now. Lisa has done my nails for Jr Prom, Sr Ball and I am now 25 and still see her every two weeks. My sister has been seeing Jenna for just as long. If your ever looking for an amazing pedicure you must see Jenna and Lisa! My husband loves Lisa for his feet. The atmosphere inside has really changed in the last few years for the better, looks like they had an interior designer come in and give the walls nice relaxing colors with touches of art and decor. I would put zero stars if I could! My sister came in for a wax expecting good service and clean eyebrows but she walked away mutilated!! Her skin under both her eyebrows and between her eyes was ripped away. Then when we came back to complain they didn't want to admit their faults! They even tried to cover my moms mouth when she was complaining, like how dare you! They even asked my sister if she anything to her brows, trying to shift the blame on her! Not surprised they only have an average of one star rating. Wished I would have checked yelp before going. Lesson learned. Agree with most of the other reviews on here. They used dirty/stained towels on me, tried to overcharge me after service was complete, did an awful job on my toes and got paint all over my skin, bubbling of nail polish, I could have done better myself... Took almost 2 hours for a manicure/pedi. Got a babysitter for my kids so I could go out and do some errands, thought I could be in and out of here in 45 minutes.... Instead I lost two hours of my day, got overcharged and They tried to hide the pricing list from me when I asked to see it, on top of it had to pay my babysitter extra to stay longer.Agree with other reviewers that if there was a zero star option this place should get it. Would give zero stars if possible... I use to go here all the time almost every two weeks and then went in today... They did an awful job didn't speak or acknowledge me the entire time and talked/texted on the phone the entire time....They also change the price depending on who it is... Every time it's somehow different. The reason I will never come back is that I noticed they don't wash their nail kits... They just reuse which is disgusting and not sanitary. They also have a card in which if you come 6 times you get a free manicure....turns out they don't actually acknowledge that and just make up excuses for why they can't use it. Botched my eyebrows! I told the woman waxing me to leave the thickness as is and just give me a bit of an arch. She applied the thickest wax I've ever experienced, from the bottom of my brow all the way down to my eyelid. It hurt like hell AND my eyebrows are way too thin. The nail artist working on my elderly mother's nails was incredibly rough with her and also took an hour for a simple gel manicure. They are quick, but lack in quality. They didn't cut off off my cuticles which I think is one of the most important reasons why ppl go to nail salons for a manicure. I got acrylics and they were $35 without tip whereas it is normally $25 back in LA.
