I was referred by a friend and it was my first time at this salon. It was a walk-in but I was quickly helped. Everyone is very nice and attentive and will give you suggestions based on your budget and style. They have an amazing supply on different colors and plenty example on designs with rhinestones. I have been here once, and I won't be going back. My friend came along, and she had an appointment. They didn't start her nails until almost an hour after schedule. My manicure was mediocre at best, and staff put minimal effort into correcting their mistakes. With such competition throughout Orange County in the nail business, you can surely find better places than this. Read Less

I've been to so many nail salons and finally found the one. Despite some of the bad reviews, overall, Top 3d has met all my needs. First time I came without an appointment, hesitant because of the reviews. The employees speak pretty good English and understand all requests. They are friendly and accommodating. Sometimes the girls are overbooked but they always try their hardest to make all customers happy. I always come in to see Yen or Lisa. I let them take the reigns and try new styles. Top 3d really does stay up to date on all the latest trend, they're decently priced, fast and efficient. I have gone to the top rated nail salons but still choose top 3d over them. Heard a lot of great things about this place so decided to give it a shot, and I was blown away. Yvonne did my nails and she did an amazing job, exactly what I wanted but better. Did simple coffin nails with white polish, but compared to the place I usually go to she made my nails look so perfect. So I've been to this spot and when Lisa does my nails I'm always satisfied. But other times I sit with others nail techs I'm so unsatisfied. I walked in no appointment, she tells me a couple min wait.... 45 min later they start working on me they do my pedicure which was ok not bad but not good.. my manicure on the other hand horrible. She was so rough and hurting me and painted over my cuticles she was rude on top of that! Only going back to lisa and fix this mess and after that I won't be coming back to this place. Read Less

PLEASE BEWARE!! This place is going down the drain, and fast! I needed a couple weeks to get over the humiliation of what happened to me here on July 14th. My best friend and I have been coming here since they opened and I always had Lisa and Vivian for my pedicure. We got our nails done 3 weeks prior and out of nowhere I was charged about 30.00 more than usual which I did not realize until after we left because my friend paid our bill (about 250.00 between the two of us each time we go) and I was across the room at the time so I did not hear the price. I had a fill and my usual bling (no 3D work) while my friend had to get a new set, ombre, 3D flowers on 6 fingers, and bling on all her toes and most of her nails. What I had done did not compare to what she had done money-wise and she was charged 25.00 less than I was. (I admittedly always get intricate nails so that is not the issue). Rather than call her and ask I THOUGHT we had an established enough of a relationship that I could inquire about the cost when we went back. I wasn't asking for a refund, or a credit, I just wanted an idea since I've had much more elaborate nails almost every month previously, and NEVER paid that much & I've never had to question them before. So before she got started on my nails I asked her about it in the back of the shop, so quietly that my friend sitting next to us didn't even hear, and she became HOSTILE. She basically accused me of lying, asked how does she know that's the price she charged 3 weeks previously. Again, I've never questioned them and consider myself a decent client, even bringing all the employees donuts more than once, giving Christmas presents to Lisa and Vivian, etc. She said it takes 2 1/2 hours to do my nails which has always been fine with me, I understand the time needed for the nails I get but that time would be cut down if she didn't have to answer the phone and walk away from me a dozen times to get the appointment book or go fix a broken nail on a walk-in. "How am I to know why I charged you $$$ after you wait 3 weeks to ask me" she said. I apologized for waiting that long, told her I sincerely didn't think it would be a big issue and I wasn't angry, I just wanted to know (as I showed her my nails and toes) the break-down so I could be more aware in the future. I also added that I loved her work, appreciated her, and didn't ever want to have to go anywhere else. Here's the issue, THEY ONLY TAKE CASH so there are no receipts or back-up for this very reason I suspect. How could she not just look at my nails and toes and give me a rough breakdown? My toes are always 32.00, that part is easy. Why couldn't she look at my nails, that she did, and not tell me why the designs I had were the price that she charged? SO HERE IS THE KICKER..... I was still quiet & complimentary the entire time this went down and she was so hostile and obviously was caught ripping me off so she announced she was too upset and could not work on me that day AND WENT AND HID IN THE BACK ROOM for an hour, leaving me sitting there (the sweet lady had already started my pedicure) humiliated, embarrassed, and in tears. The three ladies still working on my friend and I were left not knowing what happened and were visibly uncomfortable. CHECK OUT THEIR YELP REVIEWS. It has become apparent that longtime customers are now unhappy and leaving, and Lisa's attitude is mentioned several times. I'll NEVER go back. It's so sad that this place which is still relatively new has gone downhill so quickly. Breaking up with a nail guru is always more painful to me than breaking up with a boyfriend, so I am still stunned that she reacted the way she did. I went to this place upon a recommendation from a friend. I had just moved from Mission Viejo to Costa Mesa and didn't want to drive over 30 minutes or so to my usual bail place and was trying to find a new nail place in CM so I went and tried Top 3D Nails. I've been twice now and I'll never ever ever go back. In fact you couldn't pay me to go back. I've never received such awful service in my life. BOTH TIMES! The first time I had my nails done by a guy there. He screwed up my simple ombré powder stiletto design so badly that he had to redo almost every single nail. After redoing them a lot were still messed up but it was 3 hours now into my nail session and I was so frustrated and sick of being there I just wanted to go at this point. He gave me a discount and I paid $40 for ombré stiletto acrylics with rhinestones. I go back my second time and said I wanted anyone but the guy that did my nails the last time. This time they gave me a woman named Holly. I had seen on reviews that she did good work so I was a little more relaxed. I told her I wanted a pink and white set (completely new set) she then proceeds to do an ombré look (done with powder) on my nails. It looked pretty and like spring so I decided not to say anything cause I actually liked how it looked at that point. Then she was supposed to put rhinestones just around the "c" shaped section on your nail where the nail and cuticle meet. Instead she did her own design. It looked okay but not what I wanted at all. And then to top it off she put this metallic sheen all over all of my nails and made it look completely different than the look I wanted. And then I had nails start breaking 3 days after I got them done. Sooooo....,Needless to say I will NOT be going back here....EVER. and my search for a good nail salon continues.... Read Less

I asked for the menu of services a couple of times since I searched all over to find one and couldn't - was not given a menu at all. No menu exists! Prices are just memorized? Cash only, lady kept trying to upsell when I already knew what I wanted and that's it. My nails came out awesome! $30 dollar full gel sets make me holla ~ - they are ALWAYS busy . Call before youCome if you're in a rush, don't expect to not wait during prime time hours . - all technicians are good at what they do and are willing to pass you to other technicians that can do the design you want . - they all work as a team - they will accept customers till 7pm (their closing time) - professional about most things. -CASH ONLY ! This has seriously been the worst nail place I've been to. Their products are so cheap that 3 of my nails broke within 3 days of me getting them done. The first one broke the day after getting them done, I went so they could fix it and they tried charging me I said I wouldn't pay because it broke out of nowhere. Once they fixed it they used a different nail Polish. I went home and 2 more broke right after.I asked to speak to the manager and they said I couldn't. They also said that they use high quality products but if this were the case they wouldn't break out of thin air. Read Less

I started coming here about 6months ago and have never experienced a problem or bad customer service until this past month. A woman did my fill (not the usual one who normally does my nails) I kept telling her how I wanted the shape; and she kept doing it her way, my nails didn't match, some were longer than others until I asked her not to gel them until she evens them out. An hour after going home, the gel bubbled and fell off completely. I came back the next day and complained and had it fixed for free. After going home that day, the gel bubbled and fell off again! I decided to give this place another shot and come for a full set. As the woman is cutting them, I explain to her that I need them shorter, she begins to yell at me and tells me, "how can you see the point when they're too short" I explained to her that I've had them done before, she hands me the nail filer and told me to do it myself. She makes a HUGE scene and walks away, leaving me with my nails half done. WOW!!!! The worst customer service! Why would I pay for her to do my nails the way she wants them..
