I went to get my gel removed because it was starting to chip and I just wanted it off  but I really wish I would've just waited another day to get it taken off at my normal spot. This happy nails charged me double what I pay at a different location and the nail tech was filing my nails down so hard, I flinched and said "sorry that hurts" and she just made eye contact and kept going. Didn't ease up. Didn't apologize. Nothing. She filed so hard she caused my nail to split and made my nail beds super sensitive to the touch. Never again. No wonder this place was so empty. Read Less

I have gone to this location three times. Two out of the three times, I have been cut with a file to the point of blood. Last time I was there I wanted a design on my ring finger of a peacock feather. The lady that was doing my nail didn't get the concept of what the feather was supposed to look like after I explained it a few times but did it anyway. I went to the front to tell the manager I was not happy with the design. She told me I didn't have to pay the $5 and I could just keep it and walk away with it. I wanted it redone and she told me that it would take too much of their time to redo the two nails. I asked if she wanted me to wait until they had the time to be able to redo my nail and all of a sudden they were able to do it right away. I felt ripped off paying $45 for a french refill and like they were really rude. Also, even though they have sterilization bags out they don't actually run them through a machine to sterilize them. I have been here twice and both experiences were the same. Both technicians who did my pedicure seemed to half ass the very beginning...like taking off the cuticles. But after the scrub and lotion, they overlooked their work and were very articulate with the rest of my stay. The staff was not warm or inviting but I also haven't really had a pedicure that wasn't at a top notch salon.Overall, not a bad place to get a pedicure. So overpriced!!! I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They charged me $37 just for the gel. When I questioned them the lady said we have to charge more because our rent here is expensive. We don't make any money here I promise. Ummm right! I don't mind paying more but I expect great quality. My gel was peeling off a week after I got it. And my pedicure chipped after only 2 days. Got my mani done Thursday and they are chipped. I wanted a holly design for christmas and she couldn't do it, asked her if she had a design she did for Christmas she said yes , she half finished it and it looks like a 6year old did it. I didn't want gel and they kept trying to sell me on getting getting gel. I accompanied my friend to come and get her acrylic nails removed after one nail broke. We walked in and checked their pricing list on the pamphlets they have on the front desk. The cost for removing acrylic nails is $7. (Look at Attached Picture). When we sit down the very rude nail tech told us it would be $10 to remove her nails. WORST MANICURE I HAVE EVER HAD. I came here to get my nails done for my wedding and they destroyed my cuticles. The service was absolutely terrible. Horrible place. First they say one price and then they want to charge you more and more depending on the size and the shape of the nails. The acrylic nail is getting cut regardless of the size so why does it even matter. I took my two sisters to get them done and the owner was a bitch. It was a rip off. I went to another place in Anaheim and I got everything done for $25 no extra charge for the shape or length. Happy nails is taking advantage that they are at a mall and want to add all these costs to make more money. Don't waste your money. This is my first time ever writing a yelp review. I literally was holding back tears after leaving here because I was so mad. I love getting my nails done, but lately I haven't been going because it's expensive. After about 2 months of not going, I decided to go to this Happy Nails because it is around the corner from my house. My feet had been killing me all day so I couldn't wait to get the nice hot water and massage. First of all, I don't even think the lady that did my pedicure said hello when she sat down to do my toes. I asked her to make the water hotter and she made me feel like I was seriously inconveniencing her. I think the entire pedicure lasted about 15/20 minutes! The massage was supposed to be 5 mins and I watched my timer as she completed both the massage on BOTH my legs AND the hot towel to remove the lotion, in THREE minutes. How is that even possible? In addition, I had a bad cut on my toe with a band aid on it and when it was time for the callus scrub, she literally scrubbed on top of the bandaid where my cut was and later tried to move the band aid around to get my cuticles; Half the pedicure I was in pain. As for my gel mani, it took me nearly 10 minutes to settle on a color and when I finally did they casually said "we don't have that". I guess I was supposed to get a 5 min massage for my mani as well, but that didn't happen. It started at 6:39 and she was wiping the lotion off my arms at 6:42. I was also in pain for majority of the mani too because she was pulling my arm to do the hand furthest from her. To top it all off, when I go to pay, the manager, who I originally thought was really nice, didn't seem to give a damn about my bad experience. She just sat there, said "I'll talk to her" and waited for my $50. Unbelievable. This place doesn't know the first thing about customer service. I got my manicure here with this girl name "Bea" and let's just say it was a horrible experience. Not only was she super rude but very full of herself. I asked her nicely what color should I do and she snapped at me saying "just pick a color". The next day my nail chipped so I went in and got it fixed. And then the next day 2 of my nails chipped and I was going on a trip with my friend to San Francisco that day so I called the place and the manager was super nice and said that I can come back after my 2 week trip and get my nails redone. So I went back to get my nails done and I spoke to Bea and she was very rude to me again, scolding at me and speaking to me disrespectfully. I decided that I just wanted my money back and go to a different nail place to avoid the hassle altogether and she laughed when I told her that. Horrible place to get your nails done.  I got mani and pedi with gel mani it cost $50 bucks.  I got white on both my toes and hands. My gel mani has bubbles in them and the coat is not even. As I am getting older I noticed my eyebrows are not only greying but also growing in curly and unruly. Because I was at JC Penney next door I decided to stop in at Happy Nails to see if someone there specialized in eyebrow shaping. Sheila took me into a private room and shaped my eyebrows beautifully. They look very natural. She was very kind and spent time talking to me first to find out what I'd like. It was nice to wake up this morning and see my well behaved brows once again. I had taken my baby to the show and didn't want to leave the mall to get my nails filled and a mani/pedi for my 7 year old.  I was seated with a lady who didn't speak English and looked she smelled something foul.  I tried to ignore it because my husband says that sometimes people don't know how their expression puts people off. To be honest if I could give them no stars I would! They are horrible!! I got a mani & pedi and the experience was painful! I came on Thursday, two hours before closing. They were rushing my mani & pedi when there really was no need to because there weren't any customers waiting, also they had more than enough staff. They hurt my pinky toe and made it bleed! Also the paint job was awful !! My manicure was so bad, my nails on my left were way shorter than the ones on my right, some nails sook slanted, it looks really bad. I paid $64, believe me I don't mind paying that but if I'm going to pay that amount it better be a good job not some half ass shit. They pushed the gel polish and all the "extras" but once they figured out that we were just there for a pedicure and to kill time before the distillery opened, they chilled out.  I wouldn't go out of my way to go there but it certainly worked in a pinch. Went with a friend to get gel manicures. The lady who helped me was nice but my friend's nail tech was rather standoffish and didn't say a word the whole time. The whole  paying process was rather awkward, as they made a big deal of taking our cards and walking them over to the register, where the front desk person made a big deal about having to type my card number in because their machine couldn't read my card's magnetic strip. Our gel nails peeled off in two days! Normally they last at least two weeks in our experience, so it felt like a waste of $30. They really need to make some changes here. Read Less

Avoid. Service is mediocre at best. I went as a bday treat from my mom and asked for a pedi and a fill. They tried to upsell me a $65 pedicure. When I said "no", the woman was upset I didn't want my feet to smell like pineapple. She then said I needed a brow wax, which I had days earlier. I declined and she said "your eyebrows are too thick". I was getting angry, but smiled and said "no thank you". She followed up with "you look tired". I should have left, but wanted to make the best of the gift my mom was giving me. She proceeded to give me a subpar pedicure which included cutting my toe then spraying alcohol on it. Next, was my fill. I paid extra to have gel paint, which already lifted because she over painted on my cuticle. When the terror was over, it took 10 minutes for them to process our payment. I NEVER get my nails done. Literally have gotten one manicure before. But my best friend was getting married, and we all decided to get our nails done. My friends had a great experience, but I did not. My friends got a full set and a pedicure, and were done within 45 minutes, however my girl took over an hour for my full set. Like I said, I've never gotten my nails done so I wasn't sure what she was doing and if it was right or not. First, she kept grinding down my actual cuticles and made me bleed on multiple fingers. Then kept using damn alcohol to make the bleeding stop which was just fun in itself. Second, she gave me the wrong shape-I asked for almond and she gave me stilettos. Third, she did not apologize or let me know about any mistakes that she was doing. Fourth, she took twice as long as everyone else, so I feel like she didn't know what she was doing. The first picture I took was right when I left so you can see the shape is obviously not almond. Super damn pointy. The second picture is the next morning. My fingernails were so sore that I had to trim them down half their size, and my cuticles are still red and scabbing. This isn't normal!! On a whim I decided to get my toes done on a Friday night at 7:50 pm, about 10 minutes before "last call".  The store stops taking appointments 1 hour before mall closing.I was a little apprehensive as I read the positive and negative reviews while waiting for my pedicurist, Anna.  I looked at the package menu and decided on the "Pamper Me" for $48. Since I wanted  a French color, it was $3 more. They do have a la carte menu. You just have to ask for it, but ultimately after you add up everything, its more practical to just order the package.Unlike many Asian pedicurists, Anna was quiet.  An older lady who did her job.  She would make a few comments like how tiny my feet are, and if the water was ok.  She went through the motions of the pedicure package, and was a bit rough in some spots, pinching my toes as she was pushing back the cuticle. Not hurtful, but enough to almost make me want to say "HEY!".Anna slapped on lotion after lotion of some sort, exfoliating, removing with a nice hot towel, scrubbed my feet some more before putting my feet in the hot wax for paraffin... you name it, I got it, for about an hour, including a 15 minute foot and calf massage.As I said, I got there at 7:50 and she didn't start my painting until an hour later.  While shaping and coloring my toes, she didn't ask me if it was ok, which I found odd.  Fortunately I am not picky about the toes, so I didn't really pay attention.I left the mall at 9:15, way after mall closing.  I was not, however, the last customer there.  Was it worth it for $51? Perhaps not.  I would have gladly enjoyed just the callous remover for the dead skin and a fresh paint job.  But, it was a nice "Pamper me" moment, and so I'll give this place 3.5 stars for allowing me to enjoy a Friday night, after a long work week.The place is located near the JC Penney side of the mall, 2nd level.  Weekends tend to get very busy, so call for an appointment. I was so surprised to find out at the end of my pedicure this time, that not only had she set me up with one of the best gal's there... but she also took TEN DOLLARS OFF!!! I'm very satisfied and would recommend this location to anyone I know. i had always come here for my nails and i'm saddened that i moved far away. i would get a pedicure and manicure for 30 dls and i recommend kim she does a great job. both my mom and myself love her work and she takes her time to do it right and that you're satisfied with the service.. for acrylic or gel nails i recommend mindy she's great and very gentle the price is worth every penny. too bad i live and hour away or i'd be there every week. I went last weekend with my 8 year old niece, we were both going for manicures only.When we arrived the staff was friendly but tried to get my niece to get a pedicure as well. I didn't want my niece to get a pedicure since it was cold and rainey so I kindly said no. They separated us as we got our nails done, I could see my niece from far away and noticed they were taking her socks and shoes off. I thought to myself ok fine she is getting manicure and a pedicure whatever no big deal. But they stopped at the pedicure and left her sitting there. I then got up after a while and explained we came for manicures only and now she had gotten a pedicure. They appologized and did her manicure for free, which was nice.
