4 stars due to high price and room & room for improvement, but generally a good experience. Here's the deal, I don't mind paying for quality service and quality outcome. That's the magic of perceived value and customer loyalty. With that being said, the customer service here is great! Everyone is very sweet and friendly. Tammy did my gel fill and I'm pleased with the outcome of nail designs and chrome powder after showing her what I wanted from an Instagram picture. However, the cost is definitely high! $40 in the shop for the gel fill alone when their website says $35! Another $20 for chrome and nail designs (marble design on 4 nails). I really just wanted a glittery shimmery polish instead of the chrome but she did a good job upselling and had already started the process before I could say anything. Also for $40 a quick hand massage and cuticle oil should be included (which wasn't)! My pedicure went great, but they didn't have the exact color I wanted. The pedicure chairs are gorgeous and chic surrounded by real marble stone but then again they don't massage so you're kinda just soaking your feet. Not much massage on my feet or legs either. Decent scrub, but I have a cracked toenail when I came in and she dismissed it not asking if I wanted it fixed just painted right over it haha! I did however change my mind on the polish after it was dry and they were very nice and courteous about it. But for $30 it definitely could've been better it was a very average pedicure. Lastly, I made an appointment for my cousin and I, for two gel fills and two pedicures more than a week ahead. My cousin got sick the day before so I called in to cancel one of the appointments and still keep mine. Good thing I did because suddenly they informed me that the girl that does acrylic wouldn't be in for my appointment anyways! Kinda unprofessional because had I not called, I would have driven all the way from north San Francisco just to find out my nail tech didn't show up the day of! After searching for the right nail salon, I did call back the next day to book in the morning having to reschedule work because of this.Another gripe; I mentioned the 15% off Yelp discount to Tammy who did my manicure and of course she decided it wasn't valid. She did take off $5 from my nail design. So that's $90 for my mani pedi without tip. $85 with her pity discount. So here's the deal:For the prices their charging... 1. Update your website so the prices are accurate and your clients aren't coming in thinking it's cheaper than it really is.2. For a $40 basic gel fill, simply add lotion and cuticle oil to the customers hands for a quick massage. This increases perceived value and I wouldn't mind so much the high price.3. For a $30 pedicure make sure it's not average and basic! Maybe add something spa like to the foot bath or a better leg and foot massage since I pretty much didn't get one! Pay attention to the customers nails! If something needs fixing... offer to fix it! 4. Take down the name and number of those making appointments! If there's an emergency where the nail tech needs to cancel, a simple phone call to tell the customer would alleviate any negative opinions. 5. The salon has undergone a really cute and chic remodel. But again for the prices make sure it's all consistent! Get rid of the clutter. Get rid of the "decor" that doesn't belong there like the ceramic horse with nail tools in it. If you have two upscale chairs at the nail bar, don't have 4 Office Depot swivel desk chairs at the rest of the bar. Also, use new nail files for every customer! Mine was certainly used! Yuck! Potential Infections will kill your business! Sanitize and autoclave your tools! My cuticles weren't cleaned up with the proper tool. With these improvements I'd definitely come back. But since I'm feeling like they weren't transparent about the tech not being there, the prices being different, and not honoring the Yelp discount, the salon being a little unkempt when they're concept is to be an upscale salon....I've got mixed feelings and a bit ripped off. I want to be thrilled about my experience.., but I'm just satisfied. Read Less
