I am saddened to share such a bad review about this place. I had gone teach before for manicures (I don't do polish though, just buff and shine so there's hardly anywhere to go wrong) and got a pedicure with Verenise once (she was GREAT). The staff was pleasant both times prior to today's visit. So maybe today was just a bad day, but even if it was just a bad day... it was pretty bad. I went in today around 4:30 PM to see if they could do a pedicure, but they were busy. I thought it was strange because the receptionist was telling me they were full, even though there was an employee sitting on her phone at her station (and there was only one other employee who was busy with a customer). The receptionist had what appeared to be a half-way finished set of acrylics. I think I'm just being critical, and I make the appointment to come back at five. I come back at five to see the receptionist getting the other half of that fill from the employee that was previously on her phone at the station while I wait for the only other employee to finish with the other paying customer. They didn't even acknowledge me or offer me to sit in the pedicure chair while I waited (again, only one other customer was there...). So once the other paying customer was finished, the employee invited me to sit down in the pedicure chair. This is where I really get disappointed. She cuts my nails down, files one of my little toes to the point it slightly cutes into my skin... Puts the cuticle oil, pushes them down, then cuts the cuticles... And my toe! I was reading a book and I felt her cut me and I look up to see her start to cover it with a cotton ball. Then she just keeps going (no apology, no nothing). Puts something from a bottle on it, then vigorously rubs it around ... only making me bleed more. It started to bubble up, and she just decided to squeeze all of the blood out and continuously rub the wound. I asked her, is that just from cutting the cuticle? "yeah." (Still no apology). We get through the callus removal and she starts the massage and asks "Is it OK to just do your feet, or do you want me to go up to here *marks a line at my ankle with her hand*" I audibly laughed at this point and said that just the feet were fine. Once she starts putting the base coat down, she just paints over the cut, pretending like it's not even there. Then takes the acetone to clean up her sloppy paint job and runs it across my open wound... multiple times! After each coat to be exact. So as soon as she says I'm done I go to the receptionist to pay. (The receptionist is taking a break from getting her nails done at this point because another customer showed up). I paid with a card and the receptionist asked me if I wanted to leave a tip and when I said no on account of all the bleeding I'm doing because of this pedicure) she asked "you don't want to leave a tip?" And when I said no she just kinda laughed... All the while, I never got a single apology from the tech that cut my toe. Between the waiting for the employees to finish each others' nails, and the bleeding/rubbing/and burning from the acetone... I don't think this salon is going to recover from that for me. Read Less
