I used to come here all the time and was so happy with the service. After moving away for a years I just came back to get a manicure. This was the worst and most PAINFUL manicure I've ever received. The first woman who did my nails filed them unevenly, cut me twice, and filed so hard my skin ripped and would not stop bleeding. I have polish all over my hands. One of the other women (who did an excellent job on my sisters nails) came and checked my hands as I was getting ready to leave. There was a lot of talk and then the second women re-filed my nails so they are now semi-even but she had to make them so painfully short to do so! She then re-did two more coats of gel....I left with stubs for nails, painful cuts, and have been peeling gel polish from my finger tips all day. Even though my sisters nails turned out great, it is not worth the risk of getting the manicurist who did my nails! Needless to say I will never be back. Read Less

Granted they are constantly busy and wait time can be long, but I continue to come back because they're thorough and worth the wait. I don't have a specific nail technician I go to because they all do a phenomenal job. It makes sense why the wait time is long so I'm not even mad about it. The photo I'm posting is from my most recent visit and it doesn't do its justice of how cute they are in person. Vivian actually fixed my nails from another salon's mistake and they turned out better than I thought she could help. She could've easily told me that I needed a new set but instead, she worked with what I had and only charged me for a fill. I've been coming here for 2 years now and I still make the drive after I moved to the outskirts of Escondido, passing multiple other nail salons on the way! I've tried other ones in the area and I say they're ranking #1 in San Marcos. Give them a try when you're not on a tight schedule. Great Salon For a no nonsense manicure pedicure... Be prepared to wait... I have waited anywhere from five minutes to an hour with or without an appointment. They do a great job and they have great attention to their detail so it is definitely worth the wait.I brought the gems from home and they were more than willing to Help with the nail art that I wanted. I am writing this review as I have just finished "fixing" the horrendous gel manicure job, I got at this place. The only reason this place has 2 stars is because of the gel color selection they have which is nice. But let me tell you today's job was bad.I called to make an appointment because I read reviews about the horrible wait times. I came in at my apt time and waited 20mins before they began with my pedi after they finished it took another 40mins for them to begin my gel manicure. The pedicure was below average and the polish job was tacky, and she did not remove the excess paint on my toes. The gel manicure was the worst, I asked for a French ombré and she couldn't deliver so she started over and did a French tip, it was so thick and and uneven every nail looked different. At this point I had already been there 2.5 hours so I just paid and left. For about 10 years now i have gotten manis and pedis and for the past 3 years Its routine for me to get my nails done every 2 weeks, so I know a good gel mani/ pedi job when I get one and today was horrible. Owner really needs to teach Lyly what customer service is. She is by far the rudest person. I love going in here by far the best place to get ur nails done but i do recommend going in with an appointment. Well my experience with Lyly is not the best. I came in, sat down, i showed her a picture a design i wanted on a gel mani (tan color with black polka dots on the index finger and a small heart on the ring finger) . She kept repeating over and over to choose the colors i wanted. Even tho i told her many times to help me with the colors cuz i wanted the exact same thing on the picture. But she didnt help me. At this point u can tell she was irritated. So i ended up choosing a simple nude color. Everything went fine until it came to the design. The first time she did the heart im sorry but it didmt look anything like a heart the second time she tried it with a different brush. Still didnt look anything like a heart so i told her no.  She took of the messed up heart and said if i dont like her design to jist keep it one color. So i told her can u do cheetah print she said NO basically almost yelling it at me. She said i dont do designs and the person that does isnt here.  I was so upset i went in showed her a design got my hopes up thinking im going to leave this place with the nails i wanted. But no i didnt i went out paying 20$ mani that looks like if i didnt even go in. Basic nude color. She decided for me to keep it like that. I didnt even have a say. She pick up her stuff and moved on. She shouldve atleast told me in the beginning when i showed her the picture that she doesnt do designs and i couldve pick a different color.  But this is by far my worst experience and a waste of 20$. I started coming here after I moved to San Marcos in 2017 looking for a new place to take care of my toesies. Friday to Sunday can be tricky to get a chair right away (you may wait good 45 minutes) but week days is super easy. They have packages that you can also customize depending on your needs. I used to get horrible in grown toe nails before, but since I started coming in, no more. Another great service is they share beauty tips ex. Nails lasted 2.5 weeks before the first chip. Great shaping and work. But not much gel selection in terms of colors etc. And customer service was pretty bad. Not offensive, but not very attentive. It was my first time getting nails done and I didn't know what to do with my hands. Instead of telling me what to do, she would tap or pull each hand rather abruptly. Didn't try talking to us. There is a huge selection of nail polish and gem colors! They have binders you can flip through of all of the selections. They were able to see me quickly and gave me a better quality pedicure than I usually get from other places. It's slightly higher-priced as far as gel goes, but I'll see how long it lasts. The salon is pretty filled, but everyone is sitting in absolute silence. The walls are bright yellow and the massage chairs are old, so it's not amazingly relaxing, but it's comfortable enough. Management: 1/5 stars.Service & technique 4/5 stars. I called ahead in the morning to make two pedicure appointments at 3:00 and was told to come in at 3:30 that afternoon. We arrived at 3:40 to find several people waiting on the massage chairs and bench inside and outside and were told to pick our colors. After 20 minutes passed, I asked one of the technicians if we should return later. She looked to whom i assume was the manager who told us to wait 10 more minutes. At 4:25 one of the technicians finally finished with her client so my mother went first to the pedicure chairs. After 50 minutes of waiting on the bench, I decided that even if a technician became available, my mother (whose nails were almost done at this point) would have had to wait another full hour for me which completely defeated the whole point of us going to get our nails done together. I ended up waiting outside because the fumes were so strong and felt sorry that even though my mom was very happy with the amount of detail and attention the technician spent on her nails, I could not support this business because management was greedy and dishonest with their clients' time. Bottom line: I don't care how stellar your service is if you can't manage your booking system. I simply don't have an entire afternoon to waste sitting for an appointment I made that was supposed to be hours ago. Read Less

Super busy when we went but they were very efficient in getting all five of us in when space was available! I believe the person who did my gel mani and regular pedi was Lyly? She was AMAZING. This is my go to nail place! 8/10 times they do a great job! The wait is very long. About a hour + every time I go in, sometimes even if I have an appointment, but it's worth the wait. There are a couple ladies that don't pay enough attention to detail and rush so the nails don't turn out perfect (im very picky and like a natural look) but if you ask for Lanny, Lisa, or Sandy you won't be disappointed! My friend wanted to do a simple manicure with a clear coat of polish and they talked her into getting a refill and had too much pink on the French tip that was supposed to be all white. The place was next to a gym or something so you could hear the music through the walls and the ladies who worked there spoke to each other in their language and not to their customers. I've tried other places and I'm VERY picky and always end up coming back! Ask for LISA!!!! I've been going to her for more than 7 years and get a gel mani. She has never once let me down. I was brought here by a friend who is a regular.  With so many choices to get your nails done, I was happy to get a referal. I never get my nails done.  That always feels like a waste to me. I did however get a spa pedi.   I was happy with the price.  I always like to get the calous treatment, and some places really overcharge.  Not the case here.  Very reasonable.The gal who did my pedicure was very attentive and listened to my requests.  Overall I think she did a really good job and my feet look lovely. I would go back again any time.  But this is a small location, so I really encourage you to get an appointment if you can. Read Less

Phenomenal Nail Service!!!!This is the ONLY place to come to have your nails done. I drive from Mission Valley just to see Lani and her fabulous staff. This nail salon is committed to excellence and superb customer service. I am genuinely impressed with the attention to detail and friendly atmosphere, each time I've visited. I am a picky person when it comes to my personal maintenance. I'd rather do it myself than pay someone for a job I'll find fault in later. This place is the only place in San Marcos, that has not disappointed me on all visits. Each visit I'm treated in the same courteous manner  and the technician will not rush the job. Price is a little less than other salons and there's a reason for that. You get what you pay for. Starting with the pedicure, my nails were streaky which I didn't notice until after I left and since I was leaving for vacation I wasn't able to return. I also had a full set of acrylics. I left with a cut on the ring finger of my right hand and even though the tech promised that she did natural looking nails , mine were anything but! Why didn't I say anything then? Well it didn't look bad u til after polish was I and was done so thickly that it enhances the unnatural look. About one week after I noticed that my nails were separating from the tips. Before the official 2 week mark I had to have the nails removed , they were lifting off and cracking I had to remove one nail entirely Well I called to make an appointment to have the nails removed and get a manicure and was informed that they are too busy to make appointments for acrylic removals and I would have to walk in. No I didn't tell her that my nails had to be removed because of the botched service I initially received. I decided at that point that I just won't return.
