Victoria @ The Natural Nail Care Clinic is the best.  I am a three year Breast Cancer Survivor and have/had the crummy weak nails to show it.  Prior to Cancer my nails were strong and so long, I rarely applied colored nail polish as people assumed they were acrylics. My nails were homegrown and I was proud to show it. Ha Ha.Anyway after cancer treatment, in addition to my bout with anxiety and still on medication to block any lurking hormones.  I began to pick and bite at my nails like a young child.  Then, of course they looked so horrible I didn't want to make an appointment with a manicurist as I was so embarrassed about how my hands and nails looked. I would sit on my hands when out to lunch or dinner, which is just absurd. Then one evening, "Out of the Blue" and totally unexpected a fellow cancer survivor brought Victoria's information to our local support group meeting.  I immediately made an appt. and am pround to say I am seeing growth and strength back in my poor little nails.Thank you Victoria, you came into my life just in time.  :-)  Ginger Read Less

I have to travel from San Francisco to have Victoria do my nails  It's worth it.   O.K, my mom lives in SJC and I"d be visiting anyway, but I tell you the nail clinic is pretty much the best part of the visit.  Victoria has given me back healthy happy nails.  They look so good I don't bother with polish anymore.  Even my husband loves to go with me and get his mani/pedi.  The Mavala products are really remarkable.  Victoria pampers in like 20 dimensions.  Oh Yeah! I am a devotee of The Nail Lounge in Costa Mesa.  It is the cleanest, hands down.  But we were going to be in SJC and decided to try this place out.  It was very good.  Very clean and awesome products by Mavala.  The y do things a bit different here.  For the mani, you sit at a bar and one nail tech, usually the owner, does like 4 people at once.  It sounds freaky but it works.  They have certain beliefs on how a mani should be done and this is part of the plan.  They do not believe in cuticle cutting, so basically a product does the cuticle work.  There are fans that you sit under at various times during the service that help with the whole nail polish staying on bit.  Then, if you are having a pedi you move to the pedi bench.  It has seating for two and you cannot do both mani/pedi at the same time.  The pedi was more traditional and was very thorough.  The massage lacked a bit but my calluses are definitely softened and my tootsies look perfect.  Polish stays on waaay longer due to the process and products that they use.  It was $50 for the mani/pedi and took about 1 hour and 45 minutes.  The $50 was a special, usually it is $62 for both.  Everyone here is experienced and speaks English.  They only have Essie polish so bring your own if you like Chanel or OPI.
