First of all when I went there yesterday to do nail polish, the lady started cutting my nails assuming I want implantation. When I complaint, she said sorry with stupid smile. She never asked me first what I want to do :( She (probably the manager) then left me for another customer and a new lady started manicuring my nails. She cut my skin on two fingers and the worst thing is they don’t polish nails completely. They only cover %80 of your nail so you go back to them quicker next time. Totally rude and unprofessional. HANDS DOWN...the BEST place to go get your nails done. I've gone to so many nail salons all over the San Jose area and Peerage is absolutely the best! My boyfriend's sister recommended making an appointment with the owner Michelle & I'm so glad I did. She's amazing! I got a pedicure and gel manicure done by Michelle and another woman. They both did soooo good! And a timed massage! No skimping out there. Also, I was concerned with one of my nails from an old injury, but they made sure to take care of it and re-shape it. What I love most about this place, is they take their time with their work! Other places rush through the whole process and you end up leaving with a terrible job done. But like any amazing/popular places, it's probably best to make an appointment, especially if you're going during their busy time! You can't be upset at these ladies if you're walking in expecting all these services during their PEAK time. But luckily for me, morning times are super quiet. I will definitely be back next time! I want to start this review off with saying, I think everyone should give this salon a try when it is NOT busy because I'm sure they are more capable of what they provided to me. I got my nails done last Saturday, 6/17, with one of my friends. She actually got hers done here the day before and they were super cute. Michelle did hers the day before. I was a walk-in which was probably my fault but they took me in about 15min. I wish they would have just denied me saying that didn't have enough time because that's essentially what happened. I wanted to get a gel manicure with a chrome finish. The lady that started doing my nails wasn't very good at shaping, buffing, or painting my nails. Michelle had to step in and finish my manicure. She was very sweet and if I had gotten it done with her to begin with through the end, I'm sure I would have left a lot happier. Michelle was super busy and the wait time at this point to wait for her to fix/finish my nails was rather long. I think it took about 2 hrs to complete from the time we got in to the time we left which is insane for 1 gel manicure. *see pictures*Not even a week and a half yet and one of my gel nails started to come off so I just took the whole thing off. The gel part is already lifting from other fingers. The chrome part has already chipped. And the distribution of the chrome is very off. (Ring finger and thumb) Some nails look more silver than other. Overall, I would give them another shot when I'm in the area but definitely not going out of my way to come back. Such a good experience. The salon is clean with plenty of color options and the staff is meticulous and considerate. I love how my gel manicure turned out: white polish and a glitter coat.Made an appointment through Yelp's messaging service and received a response within 5 minutes.The entire process took about 45 minutes. The owner, Amy, is just wonderful! She does such a good job on acrylic / gel or natural nails. Here is how she did my nails for the holidays (see pics). And she never over-charges; always tries to give you a discount. Beautiful salon, not over-crowded (which I love) and very attentive service. Excellent customer services ever!!!we came at late evening the time they suppose to be closing almost but they extremely took me in seated right away.
