I am writing this review to warn new customers and regulars of A-1 salon. I had a regular pedicure with Chi (no problem, she is my usually nail-tech) and a gel manicure by a young girl in her twenties whose name I do not know (have never been to this nail-tech before). As the gel manicure progressed I complained on three separate occasions to check the machine as my nails were burning under it. They did not check. Instead they told me that my body was like that because of which my nails were burning. The last straw was when a portion of polish on my left thumb was smudged. The nail-tech reprimanded me and told me how careless I was and my body-type cannot withstand heat. I had walked 10 minutes to find parking (salon has only 2 designated spots). I requested that the salon fan be turned on as I was sweating in 95 degrees temperature. They repeated that my body was like that to feel undue heat in their muggy salon. The conversation escalated when Annie the owner repeated the nail-tech's comments. If you want unseen UV burns please go here. If you want your body to be commented upon please go here. Either their machine is not configured correctly, or their technicians are untrained or their staff and owner have no respect for their customers or all of the above. At age 76 I had my first manicure and pedicure at Nails A-1.  I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The two ladies who worked on me were great. They had their work cut out for them since my nails were in terrible shape. Unfortunately I don't remember their names. Got my nails done there yesterday then last night I noticed my big toe nail color was chipped off in a couple of spots. I went in this morning and Annie fixed it for me beautifully. She was super nice and helpful, even remembered the color (I didn't). You can count on great service and friendly staff. Read Less

I will follow Annie anywhere!  I have been getting pedicures by her for years. All the nail techs are awesome here. Lani did an ombré overlay for me today and they are beautiful. Pretty soon Annie will need a bigger shop because she has such a great following and great nail technicians who all care about everyone that walks through. Read Less

Love going to this place!! The staff really takes care of you and makes sure you're pampered and happy. They always go out of their way by scheduling you in even when they are busy. They also give you the paraffin wax as part of their pedi. Most salons make you pay extra. The owner Annie is so great! This place is a gem! Read Less

I love this place so much and don't know how I never knew it was so close to home! (Well, my parents' home.) I took a day off of work and had a mani pedi done here. They were thorough, clean, gave my feet some wax and painted the nails so perfectly that after an hour and a half, I couldn't believe the two of them together was only $35. I came here to get my nails done for prom. I got gel nails with extensions and a design on one finger for each hand. There is a pretty big selection of colors, they have sample colors or you can choose from their collection on the walls!The ladies here were friendly and did not chat excessively which was nice. I'm not sure her name but the lady who did my nails (short hair) was pretty attentive and made sure that I was satisfied with the length of the fake nails. There were a few times when she paused and seemed a bit confused(?) when she was getting things but idk. I showed her a picture of the nails I wanted and they turned out just how I'd imagined :).Overall, my nails cost $35 and after almost 2 weeks, my nails have yet to chip! Read Less
