They did my eyelashes and must have glued my eye shut about 3 times. First she just tried to pull it back open, because that hurt so bad she stopped. Then she used some type of liquid that got in my eye, and it burned even more. But the still charged me $80. My left eyelash looks better than the right, but it was already dry. So I just let it be. I visited L'Amour when a nail fell off and Tracy, the new owner fixed and upgraded two nails to match (they didn't have the exact color to match the rest).  Every day I looked at those nails with a smile.  I have since returned two weeks later and they remembered me and welcomed me with open arms.  Tracy did a fabulous and meticulous job and is sweet as can be.  I absolutely love this place.  They are professional and do fantastic work.  I was even surprised that Tracy trimmed my cuticles (most places fall short at this).  she asked me if I wanted a flower and I said sure.  what she did was so beyond fantastic.  She painted a beautiful 3D white rose to go with my red nails.  I was shocked beyond belief at how beautiful it is.  She is so very talented and artistic.  Her cohert in crime, also sweet and smiling the whole time, did my pedi and it was the best.  The employees at L'Amour deserve every cudos they can get because they care about their customers and provide excellent service and are very talented.  I probably shouldn't give a great review cause I probably will have to now wait for service.  I've been to many nail salons and this is by far the best!  They also have a great sense of American humor.   Nickie Read Less

I love this place they did a amazing job on my nails. The lady took her time and not rush like other places they always rush and try to get you out I have not had my nails done for a year and a half because the last place made me bleed. This was the first salon in San Jose I went to when I just moved here.  I got my beautiful gel nails with lovely customer service.  The slightly higher price (about $4.00) more than Im use to was the price of great customer service.  Now many bad experiences from several nail salons later, I will be returning ASAP!  At which time, I will post my new set this at the end of this weekend**  :D Read Less

My first time here, I received a $40 gift voucher from Christmas. From the yelp reviews I've already determined this isn't the place you come to for a full modern set of nails (like stiletto, coffin, or 3D styled nails). I already had a mani else where so I figured I just get me a full set without having high expectations after all it is technically free! I was greeted right away by Wendy and Katie, Wendy serviced me, I showed her an image of the type of nails I like off an instagram picture , she took her time which really impressed me, she continually asked me "is this ok?" "Are the shapes even?" And before we moved on to the gel polish she asked one more time "before I paint, is the shape ok? You won't hurt my feelings"!Now I was just in Aww with her because most places I've been to when you correct the techs the get very annoyed and started speaking in their native language. Over all for being a small shop that's specialty is manis and pedis (deluxe) I was satisfied with my nails.Wendy after waxed my eye brows which I was growing out for months due to a horrible experience at the benefit eyebrow bar in valley fair. Now I will DEFINITELY be back for my brows with Wendy she made me completely happy!!! Over all they were so sweet , and caring. She asked me my name and continued to call me by my name for the rest of my visit!
