Here in a business trip, some spare time on Sunday, browsed for a place to get a mani pedi and facial.  Delighted to see that Charming was open, I called and the were able to fit me in for the mani pedi. I was very happy with this, sorry I forgot the young ladies names with provided me this but she was very nice, professional and my my needs.  Once done they said they could also do my facial - really felt good, she didn't rush even though it was almost closing time - very nice and again professional - thought cute when she recommended no makeup for a day but lipstick ok :) highly recommended for ladies and men alike - aloha Read Less

Haven't had my nails done up in 15 years and finally decided to make my nails pretty. Unfortunately I had gone to two other places before stumbling upon Charming Hair & Nails. I bring this up because I went to two places in a span of 6 weeks and was yet to be satisfied. The first place didn't listen and made my nails way too long, I went to the second place to cut them down but they were way too thick, and two weeks later most of the finger nails on my right hand were lifting and my thumb nail popped off ): At this point I had actually gone into Charming Hair & Nails to have the set removed and be done with it. I was in the area and decided to Yelp a place to have my nails removed which is how I came upon them (thank God). I met Tammy and she listened to my complaint. I'm a very trusting person and I asked for her opinion. My options were to just do a gel mani or try again and get a fill in hopes I'd like the outcome. She very kindly suggested I get a new set since my nails were too thick and mostly lifting. She explained to me how she can make them thinner and natural looking. She was thoughtful, she didn't rush me and she made sure I was ok with the decisions we made together. I appreciated her working with me and actually listening to what I wanted. Wheeeww. Finally!! I made an appointment for a pedicure.  When I arrived I was greeted by Nikki and Tammy, both very nice. Initially Tammy started my pedicure but had to pass me on to Nikki because she had to fix some mans pedicure who was really upset.  I was fine with it. Nikki took her time on my cuticles and shaping my nails. But did a horrible job painting my nails. It was my first time there and it will be my last. Read Less

My boyfriend and I where able to get an appointment same day and we got 2 pedi and 1 mani.  The ladies Betty,Nikki and Tammy were great!!!  The shop is easy to find and clean.  They all do a great job.  We will be back again!!!  I give 5 stars and would recommend this place. Read Less

It was my first time stumbling down this place and I'm so glad I did. Tammy greeted me and immediately took care of me as I walked in. While I went ahead to pick out a color for my toes, she pulled out a plastic liner to place over the tub, and then filled it up with nice warm water. After cleaning up my toes and scrubbing down my feet, she ended with an amazing foot massage I did not want to end. Once relaxed, she guided me to her nail station and started to do her magic. She cleaned up my cuticles so well, you would have never guessed how bad they were before hand (wish I had taken a picture). Talk about feeling like you got a pair of new hands. To top it off, after all the dead skin was handled with, she still helped me select a beautiful color (501 - it's perfect for the summer and if you have a nice bronze tan). Got a pedicure and lip/chin wax here last Saturday.  Place is small and a bit outdated and could use a major facelift but that's not the issue.  My issue is I spent my hard earned money for half ass services.  First my pedicure.  The older lady who did it was pleasant i guess BUT the paint job was sloppy AND my left big toe was bleeding while she was using the cuticle pusher trying to clean my nails.  I did not notice it until I had already left.  Then the lip/chin wax.  Another woman did it this time and managed to burn the side of my chin from going over the same spot multiple times.  Again I did not notice this until hours later when it started to turn bright red.  In the end I still left a tip for these two but a word of advice:  if you want a shitty sloppy ass pedi done or you want your face burned and scabbed by all means please do come!! never again. I never write yelp reviews but Tammy is worth it plus I always leave loving my nails so much! I recently moved out this area and was looking for a new salon I could commit to and trust; Stumbled upon what you can call a hidden gem! The location may look a bit sketch but it's safe! Tammy cares and takes time on your nails. Always making sure it's perfect and how you want it. My nails haven't stayed long and strong in so long until I met Tammy. She cares for me nails as much as I do. She is now the only person I could trust with my nails. The only downside is probably that it is a CASH ONLY zone. :p Read Less

I called a couple weeks before my wedding to schedule nail appointments for myself (the bride) and 4 others in the wedding. They were very nice on the phone and even said I could bring in champagne for appointment. They had a really cute table with flowers set up when we got there and they took really great care of all of us. It's a tight space but they are very friendly and open to group appointments. Before, I write anything else---I have to say that---**The 'NUMBER ONE' reason that I will CONTINUE to use this place, is because of TAMMY!!! She is absoutely the BEST, and truly takes pride in her work (so talented), and takes time to ensure you are happy, and satisfied with the job she has done, I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my nails!!-She makes you feel so special, and feel so LUCKY to have found someone so kind, and talented--  HIGHLY recommend - *TAMMY* is the best!!Other reasons why I reccommend this place-- I have been coming here off and on for about a year now, and (as someone who is skeptical about nail salons) I absolutely trust and love, this place!!The prices are great, its fast, professional, and the staff always do what they can to accommodate your time and schedule you in, even if they are swamped. After moving and unpacking for the last two weekends my nails were shot. I saw the great reviews here and decided to try it out. Am I ever glad I did! I called at 4:30 and they got me in at 5. Tammy saw my nails and recommended that I get a new set as they were beyond redemption.  She was so careful removing them that my nails don't hurt like they have after removals at other places. Came here on a spontaneous decision to get my nails done for the holidays. I was calling around all the salons on yelp & no one could help me so last minute. Thankfully so, because I stumbled upon Tammy. On any other day, I would've probably skipped on the nail salon next to 711, but trust me it's worth it.Tammy did an amazing job with my nails. I am always really picky with how I like my nails done and she got them perfect. My old go-to nail lady no longer does nails, & for months I was frantically going from place to place, each disappointed me in one way or another. Needless to say, after about 6 months and over 10 nail ladies, I've found my new go-to.If you're gonna get you nails done, Tammy is the person to go to! She is super sweet and even recommended the perfect color! She's very detail oriented, gentle, and made sure I liked the length, shape, and thickness before continuing to the next step.Note: The area is a little sketchy at night. It's a small salon right next to 7/11 with a fair parking lot in the back. I recommend carrying some sort of self defense just for safety measures. It's a nail salon and a 7/11 convenience store and if you hadn't guessed already, it's not fancy... but they definitely get the job done and then some. Obviously I was skeptical when I showed up for my appointment and saw they share a wall and a sign with a 7/11 convenience store (see pics) but their work is legit, regardless of what the rest of the space look like. There's a TV showing bootleg Bob Ross paint instruction with aluminum foil wrapped antennas    so it's certianly not a spa-like atmosphere but for only $25 and less than 30 minutes I got an incredible gel manicure and got to feel adventurous while I was at it. The color selection isn't huge but it's enough and they had a decent selection of stuff that went beyond the typical pinks, reds, and boring nudes. No orange though... or at least not the kind of orange I like, but they had a killer green so I was pleased. Again, it's not the Ritz up in here but it was cheap, fast, and the nail job looks great.
