If you want to know why they have so many 5 star ratings on yelp, they bribe you at the register for it, the even have a sign mentioning it. Gf changed her polish type during a manicure and they charged her 80$ for a single color gel mani on a neutral unpolished nail, and this was after I mentioned she was charging 130$ for a 40$ manicure, and I asked her to price it out. After I said that seemed out of line for their prices, and she then added another 2$, I guess for questioning her? What is wrong with them? And then afterwards when we were paying she used really abusive sale tactics against my gf and demanded a 20$ tip on top of it telling her directly in a raised voice put 20$ here on the receipt, slamming her finger into it, and nearly bringing her to tears. She even demanded she take my agency to make my choice on the tip and said she had to pay my tip as well. When I asked her why she demanded a tip above the 15% she had been demanding from my poor friend and blocking us until we added it to the receipt, she blamed my actions for upcharging her. New favorite nail spa! I love the decor, the cleanliness and how friendly all of the employees are. Doesn't hurt that they give you a free mimosa when you check in! ;) They have a wide variety of color options for both gel and shellac, and the nail art is so unique. LOVE this place! Went to the nail place that was here before and was so sad to see them leave. Then about a month later Tint opened and they are AMAZING! The gel lasts almost 3 weeks every time, the girls are great, they have an extensive OPI and Gelish color selection. Great new nail place in the old Juicy space.  I was so happy when Lauren came in to take over the space.  Lauren is great, very friendly, and takes customer service seriously.  Prices are reasonable and I love the loyalty program.  Only reason this is 4 stars (not 5) is that skill level in technicians is inconsistent.  I am pretty picky (maybe OCD) when it comes to the paint job.  Michelle is exceptionally skilled and her paint jobs come out perfect each time.  Some of the newer nail techs are not as precise, so the polish sometimes chips faster and can be uneven.  That said, services are fast, friendly, clean and well priced. Exceptional service and atmosphere at this place! Was visiting SoMa and the Fin district for work. Took a taxi up here to enjoy a pedicure on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely location right on the corner and you can watch the cable cars if you'd like. Everything is super sanitary and high quality. All the tools came out of a fresh package and it's one of those places that uses a basin of hot water for the pedicure soak instead of one of those machines that you're never sure if it's clean. You have to check out this great spot to get your nails done in the city. Lauren, the owner, is so sweet & nice to chat with. The location is prime (steps away from the Cable Car museum - very SF!). I love that it's very clean (how they do your nails and the actual spa!), the best customer service (they always ask if I want something to drink!), and my nails look fab! I'm only writing reviews if my experience with a business warrants one (aka zero) or five stars. Tint Nail Spa? FIVE STARS. I think I've gotten maybe three manicures in the past. I don't often get them because I usually destroy them before I even leave the nail salon. But the manicure Michelle gave me? Still looking good after six days. And I am rough with my hands, both at work and at home. Probably the cleanest, crispest, neatest, nicest, most sophisticated my fingernails have ever looked.And the pedicure Jade gave me? Looking like springtime on my toes -- a bold splash of color popping through my sandals. Not a chip or scratch to be found. My feetsies look happy.The overall experience? Simply fabulous in every way. Owner Lauren and her interior designer husband Mino have designed the perfect space to sit back and be pampered. I felt remarkably relaxed the entire time. I laughed, enjoyed good conversation, and basked in the sunlight streaming through the walls of glass. It was glorious.I will definitely return. Soon. Hopefully the waxing room soon looks like the rest of the salon!Do NOT recommend coming here for waxing services. Unlike the front main area that is cute and modern, the waxing room is located downstairs in their basement.The room is very small, dark and the flooring is one you would see in an old garage. I think it was concrete. The light they had in there was some odd basement light bulb switch. Felt super sketchy and not clean! Person doing the wax was not gentle at all. Would not come again. I am SO happy that Tint opened up across the street from my apartment. Not only is it incredibly convenient for me, but they honestly do an incredible job. The two times I've been there, I walked out thinking it was one of the best manicures I've ever had. They are super thorough and take really good care of you from start to finish. I love how many polish colors they have to choose from (they have a ton of gel colors as well). They also offer pretty intricate nail designs. The vibe in the salon is super cozy, yet modern. They did a really good job balancing the clean/modern look with the warm/inviting atmosphere the salon. The women who work there are really talented and friendly. Unlike many other salons in the area, they engage with you and are easy to talk to. My I got a gel manicure the first time, and it lasted so long! My current manicure is not gel, but they did such a good job, I'm sure this will last a long time as well. Their prices are super reasonable and I am also going to start going to them for waxing. Went to San Francisco for a weekend trip but didn't have a chance to get my nails done before I left Orange County so I decided to find a place in SF. Walked into Tint and thought it was such a cute, charming place. I was seated right away and they offered me water, tea and candies. Everything looked nice and clean. The prices were reasonable, not much more than what I pay in Orange County. Compared to a lot of other nail salons I've been to, the staff skills and service were on par.
