I'm giving a 3 star review only because I did not actually have her my hair cut (yet), so I don't feel like I should give less stars without undergoing services there. HOWEVER, the only reason I didn't book a haircut there was because I was so disappointed in their customer service that I didn't want to. I went to this salon back when it was Salon Tonic, and it was great back then. When I first went there, I scoured yelp reviews to find my current stylist Kelly (Brady) Tsue and followed her when she opened her own salon. Kelly and I have decided to part ways, and unfortunately, things seem to have changed under Salon Tonic's new ownership as Salon 1532. First, as a business owner, I make every effort on my own website to think about what a potential customer might want to see on my website and include it. For me, when I look for a new hair stylist, I want to do my homework in hopes of finding someone great that I can hopefully go to for years. Unfortunately, Salon 1532 has no list of the hair stylists on their website, so a potential customer has no way to look up the stylists, read their reviews, and/or look at their bios. Now, I could call, but at the same time, I could just as easily go to another salon that offers the same info I'm looking for on their website. What's worse is that I really wanted a salon in Little Italy, so I went out of my way to e-mail the salon asking for a list of their hair stylists, so I could look up their Yelp reviews and select someone. What I got in response was a snarky e-mail that they do not have a set list of hair styles (e.g., bob) that they could send me, but I was welcome to look at their hair styles on Instagram--they didn't provide their Instagram handle either. I responded advising that my email very clearly asked in both the body and subject of the email about hair styLISTS, not hair styLES. I never received a response answering my question. I was discussing my frustration with how unprofessional the salon appeared to be with a friend who gets her haircut there, and she said there is a definite "attitude problem" there, which is the sense I got as well. Later, I found Autumn Houston Salon, which is about a block or two away from Salon 1532, had its stylists and prices listed on the website, and was very easy to book online. My haircut is not until February, but so far, that salon seems much more professional and customer service oriented, so I would definitely recommend it over Salon 1532, which does not really seem to care too much about getting/catering to new customers :( Read Less
