Lena Nails is a zero frills salon, but they do a reliably good job, which is what matters most to me. They have limited space and it's small and not spa-like in the slightest since everything is kind of awkwardly fit in to the small room, but again, if you're just looking for an affordable, quality nail service, you won't be bothered by this.The first time we went, we got pedis but the hot water had been shut off at some point during the day for maintenance so our water was barely warm, but they did a good job and apologized profusely (we weren't mad to begin with, but appreciated all the same). I've since returned several times, and Kathy does a particularly good job. They also have some fun gel polishes (chrome and cat eye to name a couple). The only downsides are with the lack of easy parking, which I can't really blame them personally for, and that none of the technicians do a particular good massage as they seem rushed to get the next person in. Other than that, I have no complaints since my nails always look great when I leave.

Wow, I'm OBSESSED with my gel mani! I called at about 3 on a Friday seeing how busy they were and the price of a gel mani ($32). They said it'd be fine if I came as a walk in and I was taken right away which was surprising because sometimes nail salons will say they can take you but they really mean they can take you in 45 minutes lol.I got the Cat Eye gel which was $5 extra but soooo worth it! My nail technician was super super fast and did an amazing job! I'll be back to try alllll the Cat Eye colors!

Omg... so i broke a nail fresh off the plane thank goodness i was staying at the wyndam bayside which isn't a far walk at all. Chris is amazing ahe not onky fixed my nail but gave me the best pedicur...
Omg... so i broke a nail fresh off the plane thank goodness i was staying at the wyndam bayside which isn't a far walk at all. Chris is amazing ahe not onky fixed my nail but gave me the best pedicure ive ever had in my life. Highly recommend getting the deluxe pedi n add a a extra 10 minutes its soooo worth it. Will definitely be coming to see Miss Chris at Lenas Nails my next time in san diego!!!

She is very laid back, yet makes you feel like a princess while she works on you. Tiffany takes care in removing the gel to not compromise the integrity of the nail. Came into the salon yesterday, after making a last minute appointment. They had no problem accommodating my sister and I even though we were 15 minutes late, parking can be a mess in little Italy. I received a gel manicure and spa pedicure. Ha was my manicurist and did a wonderful job, my nails are perfectly done. I will definitely be back!

Great salon, I was referred to Nancy from my coworkers who has been going to her for years, she was able to fit me in the same day I called in and she gave me a beautiful pedicure and gel manicure. This nail salon is one-of-a-kind. It is a special family-run business and each woman takes pride in her work. Nancy is my go-to girl who has been doing my gel manis and pedis for over 4 years. She is a perfectionist and my nails are flawless each time I leave. I am the PICKIEST person when it comes to my gel manicures and I have been to so many salons and I feel the end result is sub-par. I hate sloppy cuticles or polish that peels off after a week or sticks to the sides of my nails. Never at Lena Nails. Definitely go and ask for Nancy! Chi is really sweet and thorough as well.

I came to this salon in search of an affordable mani pedi in walking distance of my hotel in the Gaslamp District, and it did not disappoint!I called to make an appointment and was able to go in a few hours later. The technicians were welcoming and friendly, and the facility was low-frills but clean. The massage chairs were comfortable (if a bit intense!). They had a good selection of OPI polish. The technician did a thorough and careful job with my manicure and pedicure, which was a good deal at $32. They take credit cards which is convenient, too (I tipped in cash!).My only complaint was that the drying station took forever to dry my nails as it wasn't very powerful, and even after waiting over 30 minutes my pedicure still smudged when I put my shoe back on. But, this is minor and also partially my fault for forgetting flip flops ;)

Every time I go anywhere but here, I wind up regretting it. I'm really bad about picking gel nail polish off but they do such a great job that it literally doesn't lift so I can't destroy my nails. Meticulous pedicures too. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean, reasonably priced and the quality of their work is top notch.

Chris always does an amazing and thorough job. My toes and nails are always the bomb and they last for weeks! Wanted to try a new place in the neighborhood and saw the reviews on here so thought I'd give it a try. The place itself is small but clean. The staff was friendly and although my friend and I didn't have an appointment for our pedicures they were able to get us in right away. They have a good selection of colors to choose from. The massage chairs were wonderful and I could have sat there all day having my feet massaged. The price was reasonable, $22 for your basic pedicure. I would come back here again.

I came in with nails that had been completely butchered by the previous place I had my nails done. So Lena nails had their job cut out for them. They had to remove the old shellac,fill in my acrylics,reshape them,take care of my cuticles and put new shellac on my nails. Chris did a fantastic job removing old shellac,filling in and reshaping my acrylics and then Nancy did and equally fantastic job doing my manicure and redoing my shellac. I paid $42 and left with my nails looks amazing and flawless. I will def. come back and have my nails done here.

The extra star is for 1st time I came here, the nail tech did an excellent job and although 30-50% MORE expensive than other nail salons it is convenient to my home which is a PLUS. I left a VERY generous tip and appreciated the awesome french mani/pedi. The 2nd appt with the same gal was in such a bad mood and did not say 1 word the whole time....just scowled the whole time....it was so awkward and and uncomfortable. A 5 minute foot massage is included and I timed 2 minutes. Price somehow was the same as previous service even though I did not pay for an extra 15 minute foot massage as I did the 1st appt? I will never go back and thankfully found a place that does outstanding workmanship, are friendly and almost 50% LESS $$.

My mom, sister, and I were visiting and decided to get our nails done last minute after a late breakfast. We googled the closest nail salon and found this gem close by. The ladies all did a phenomenal job on all three of us! They didn't rush even though they were busy, the massages were amazing, and the level of awesomeness of the paw and claws was through the roof. I got gel nails done and the girl who did mine was a perfectionist. To top it off, the price is great, honestly a steal, for the level of work and customer service you get!!

Location is convenient for me as I live downtown. The person who did my nails texted throughout my mani and pedi, so minor improvement needed there. I wasn't totally happy with the pedicure as the big toe has an injury and really could have used a second coat. Overall, would I go back? Yes, for location and a "passing" experience.

This nail salon is one-of-a-kind. It is a special family-run business and each woman takes pride in her work. Nancy is my go-to girl who has been doing my gel manis and pedis for over 4 years. She is a perfectionist and my nails are flawless each time I leave. I am the PICKIEST person when it comes to my gel manicures and I have been to so many salons and I feel the end result is sub-par. I hate sloppy cuticles or polish that peels off after a week or sticks to the sides of my nails. Never at Lena Nails. Definitely go and ask for Nancy! Chi is really sweet and thorough as well.

I came to this salon in search of an affordable mani pedi in walking distance of my hotel in the Gaslamp District, and it did not disappoint!I called to make an appointment and was able to go in a few hours later. The technicians were welcoming and friendly, and the facility was low-frills but clean. The massage chairs were comfortable (if a bit intense!). They had a good selection of OPI polish. The technician did a thorough and careful job with my manicure and pedicure, which was a good deal at $32. They take credit cards which is convenient, too (I tipped in cash!).My only complaint was that the drying station took forever to dry my nails as it wasn't very powerful, and even after waiting over 30 minutes my pedicure still smudged when I put my shoe back on. But, this is minor and also partially my fault for forgetting flip flops ;)

Love it here! They are so precessional and clean, my shellac always lasts 2 weeks or more. They have a great selection of colors, so happy I found this place!

Every time I go anywhere but here, I wind up regretting it. I'm really bad about picking gel nail polish off but they do such a great job that it literally doesn't lift so I can't destroy my nails. Meticulous pedicures too. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean, reasonably priced and the quality of their work is top notch.

Chris always does an amazing and thorough job. My toes and nails are always the bomb and they last for weeks! If you want to see her specifically, I suggest that you make a reservation as she is so sought after and is always booked.

Wanted to try a new place in the neighborhood and saw the reviews on here so thought I'd give it a try. The place itself is small but clean. The staff was friendly and although my friend and I didn't have an appointment for our pedicures they were able to get us in right away. They have a good selection of colors to choose from. The massage chairs were wonderful and I could have sat there all day having my feet massaged. The price was reasonable, $22 for your basic pedicure. I would come back here again.

I came in with nails that had been completely butchered by the previous place I had my nails done. So Lena nails had their job cut out for them. They had to remove the old shellac,fill in my acrylics,reshape them,take care of my cuticles and put new shellac on my nails. Chris did a fantastic job removing old shellac,filling in and reshaping my acrylics and then Nancy did and equally fantastic job doing my manicure and redoing my shellac. I paid $42 and left with my nails looks amazing and flawless. I will def. come back and have my nails done here.

The extra star is for 1st time I came here, the nail tech did an excellent job and although 30-50% MORE expensive than other nail salons it is convenient to my home which is a PLUS. I left a VERY generous tip and appreciated the awesome french mani/pedi. The 2nd appt with the same gal was in such a bad mood and did not say 1 word the whole time....just scowled the whole time....it was so awkward and and uncomfortable. A 5 minute foot massage is included and I timed 2 minutes. Price somehow was the same as previous service even though I did not pay for an extra 15 minute foot massage as I did the 1st appt? I will never go back and thankfully found a place that does outstanding workmanship, are friendly and almost 50% LESS $$.

My gel polish will stay in for almost a month without chipping. Wonderful customer service. One time, I left my wallet, they were so sweet saying I could come back and pay any time. Love this place. :)

I wish I could find a place that does such a great job for such a good price here in Manhattan. Three weeks later, I've filed down my nails a bit and there's still not a flaw to be found on my gel french manicure.

My absolute favorite nail salon in San Diego and honestly the only one I ever go to! Affordable but the absolute best job every time. Plus, they are usually able to squeeze you in as a walk in or most of the time you're able to schedule an appointment a couple of hours only in advance.. great for those like myself who isn't super awesome at planning for these things until I notice my polish half chipped off.

My mom, sister, and I were visiting and decided to get our nails done last minute after a late breakfast. We googled the closest nail salon and found this gem close by. The ladies all did a phenomenal job on all three of us! They didn't rush even though they were busy, the massages were amazing, and the level of awesomeness of the paw and claws was through the roof. I got gel nails done and the girl who did mine was a perfectionist. To top it off, the price is great, honestly a steal, for the level of work and customer service you get!!
