I have been going to get my brows done at Benefit for over two years. They are the only people I truly trust to do my brows correctly! I love Lysandra! She maps out my eyebrows every time and shows me exactly what she is going to wax before she does it will brings me so much piece of mind. My brows always turn out amazing. I loved this place! I had a horrible experience at a European wax center in OC a few months back and it left me growing out my botched shapeless right eyebrow for months. It was shorter than the left one and it had no shape to it. Given that I had a wedding to attend soon I was desperate for someone to fix this so when I walked past this place I simply walked in to check it the had a free slot to do my eyebrows to the best of their ability. I knew they couldn't possibly get any worse!The girls were fabulous, everyone was super laid back and welcoming! The girl who did my eyebrows was very detail oriented and walked me through each step before walking me over to her colleague to get them filled in a bit. I got to try on a ton of their products, got a new moisturizer and lip balm as well as a spot corrector that works great with my skin! At no point did I feel pressured to buy products or rushed. All my questions were answered and they offered me solutions for skin issues. Just an all around great experience! Oh and I left the store with a right eyebrow that finally has some shape to it! This is an outstanding Benefit store!  I live 2 hours away and only go here for my lash and brow tints.  They really focus on customer service and even though I am older, they are judiciously gracious and kind.  I have a fun time and often bring a friend or relative.  Camille did my tints and wax this time and was delightful and did an excellent job onMy thick and unruly lashes.  Macy followed up with making me look fresh and pretty - and also showed my sister how to emphasize her eyes.  It is a destination store for us!  Love it! I absolutely LOVED it here! I'm a cosmetic addict and Benefit is one of my favorite brands. The store is just as cute as their famous product packaging. JENN is the the best esthie the universe has ever seen! I go to her often, about every 2-3 weeks because my brows grow very fast. Jenn is very talented and well taught, she trims really well and shapes beautifully. My brows are not easy to do because I have a few scars but she knows exactly how to manage that. I'm giving it 5 stars for STEPHANIE :)! I called in on a Saturday afternoon thinking I had to make an appointment. Katherine answered the phone and told me to just go ahead and walk in. She was really nice and friendly. I was kinda hesitant to go since it's located in La Jolla but I was lucky enough to find good parking. When I walked in, I was greeted by a blonde with a big hair bun (can't remember her name) but she wasn't that friendly. She hardly smiled. Meh! Thought it could be the humidity getting the best of people. She asked me if she could help with anything and I said I needed a brow wax. Then, she asked me if I had an appointment. I said, "Oh I was told that I didn't need one." Then, she said "Stephanie will take care of you."At this point, I was already thinking twice about my experience but then I sat down with Stephanie and she was the BEST. My eyebrows were a hot mess. I'm 9 months pregnant and eyebrow care is the last thing on my mind, so needless to say, my eyebrows looked like major crap. Stephanie suggested a brow tint and then shaping (waxing) and I went for it. She was sweet and friendly and we chatted about lots of things. Lindsey is the absolute best.  I have been seeing her now for over a year.  I am very natural and don't really like to wear makeup, so a brow and lash tint is perfect for me.  Lindsey also does my waxing.  I see her religiously at least once a month.  I can't even remember (and don't want to) what I looked like without a natural lash and brow tint.  She's so skilled at making it look natural but also beautiful, like you are always wearing just the right amount of makeup.  I highly recommend Lindsey!!!! I had never been to a Benefit until my friend dragged me in to look around. I'm new to the whole makeup scene so usually I get overwhelmed and can't justify spending so much money on makeup. The ladies working (July 1) when I visited were so sweet and knowledgeable, I wish I could give them a 10/5. I don't know the name of the artist but she BEAT my face and was honestly fun to hang out with. Although she didn't pressure me (AT ALL) to buy anything, I walked out with their new Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer stick and I'm OBSESSED. This place is cute. I had never seen a Benefit Boutique before. I used to go to Macy's back when I was in high school to get my eyebrows done at the Benefit counter before Anastasia Beverly Hills swept the brow industry LOL I came here over the weekend with my friend to get his brows waxed. I know most Benefit counters it's $18 to get your brows done but here it's $21. Kinda pricey since you can just go to any salon for under $10, but if you want a luxury wax then Benefit isn't bad.I have a few Benefit faves like the Hoola Bronzer, I also recently started using Porefessional which is just okay, it smells great though. Overall, an okay place to come. I wouldn't mind buying my Benefit needs from here but I would probably go elsewhere for an eyebrow wax since other places can do the same thing for cheaper. Read Less

I've waited a few months until finally writing a review. I initially decided to go to this place out of curiosity. I used to get my eyebrows waxed at a small nail salon in National City but once I realized that they used the same materials on practically every guest I never went back. I first came to Benefit as a walk-in. The ladies working there were able to fit me in for a quick wax. I didn't absolutely love my brows, especially for $21. I decided to give it a few more tries and eventually started booking with random beauticians, just whatever fit my busy schedule. I went through every single beautician, and although my brows looked okay it was nothing amazing.And then I found Jenn! I've never been happier with my brows! She works with what I have and what I don't have. Most beauticians will wax your brows only paying regard to the hairs you have, but having over plucked when I was younger there wasn't much to work with. My brows were thin and sparse, I wanted them thick and full. Jenn always makes sure to tell me what she's going to wax and what she's going to leave and how I can work with it. She leaves the little extra hairs to make them look fuller, I just have to fill in the small little spaces. Sometimes I don't even fill them in! I wish I had a before and after picture!Now I go every 3 weeks, and I'm more than happy to pay not only for the brow wax but sometimes I go for the trio (brow wax, brow tint, and lash tint). I use benefit makeup and have them do my brows. I will come to the La Jolla location or go to Ulta in Clairemont. Clairemont is only closer to me, but will go to this location for tints. I have been to this location multiple times and have gotten my brows done from a variety of girls, makeup done and eye lash tint  (which have all been great) however, Veronica did my brows today and they are the most perfect I have ever had!! This place is not convenient to get to - Just FYI.I made an apt online which was super convenient and easy. I arrived early and my girl took me right away, even though she clearly did not have to, as she had just started her lunch. I was impressed with how genuine the staff were and how clean everything was. And they did a great job on my eyebrows.I even ended up purchasing a product which I had to return (I have sensitive skin) and the girls were once again super nice about the whole thing. I came here for a Birchbox event where we came in after hours and had champ and cookies. For like $45 we were given a credit and a free brow wax making the whole thing free. They also gave us a birchbox with small benefit products inside! The event itself was a little boring but that isn't anyones fault. What was I expecting? I mean seriously. It was fun talking a look at all the fun products and asking a ton of questions.A brow wax is like $21 plus tip (I am sort of appalled that some folks didn't know you should tip for such a service, but you should) and me and my friend both really liked the results of our brows. Mine didn't even hurt that much at all! Also I loved that I was listened too. A lot of time people just get to waxing and don't pay  attention to what you actually are requesting.Like for instance if you were to wax (wow I just gave you a somewhat different job in this example huh) my prow where the unibrow fur would be, I would break out REALLY bad. I just cannot get waxed there. It makes my face turn into some scary bumpy land of nopes.I was very happy with my service and all the ladies were pretty nice. They also looks so pretty and use all benefit products. I am not in low with hoola, they're real mascara, and pollytint.
