We walked in, having an appointment, and began looking at the colors. No one greeted us or even said anything, they just stared at us. After a few minutes of standing there and looking around the woman said 5 minutes and then asked if we wanted to sit together. Which is why we made and appointment in the first place. Five more minutes goes by and they tell us another five. They had employees sitting in chairs propped up with their shoes off, relaxing. I got my nails done on a sunday (open sunday YESS) while my boyfriend got his hair cut at a shop down the road. I walk into a cute ambiance, immediately greeted, and everyone in professional attire. I tell the lady I just want acrylics and they are only $25! She leads me to the only non-spa chair with a man right next to the fish tank.   He doesnt say much and I just watch patiently. His technique wasnt something I hadn't seen before, but it was the combination and care in every detail that completely transformed my nails. Towards the end, I was so curious to what made him tick, and it was passion. I asked, "do you like doing nails?" And his first words to me were, "I love doing nails, ive been doing nails for 13 years." Passion, hard to find, but I now understand art in nails after what this man did.   It took well over an hour and I will come back everytime Im with my boyfriend in his hometown. This place is so AWESOME!!!! I've been coming here for more then 3 years:) Kuddos to Anne, everyone is so nice and heartwarming but Anne is the sweetest lady:) Tim usually does my full set and fills. He is always on top of it and does a great job all the time. Vivian does my pedicure and she's SUPER sweet!! Gotta love her. Firstly, I don't mean to dog on this place and I'm not usually one to write negative reviews, but I feel it's my job to make people aware of what happened to me. I made an appointment for acrylic gel nails and a gel pedicure.. arrived on time and the water in the tub was barely warm.. no problem I understand that.. then I rubbed my feet on the bottom of it and there was dirt. Dirt particles all over the bottom.. so I sat there.. I had a super nice guy do my nails and a girl did my toenails. They really went out of their way to get the job done everything looked fantastic and since they didn't have a toe light they actually ended up sticking one hand dryer on each foot. I was super impressed by their assistance. The employees are great and super nice.. but while I was sitting there finishing my toes I looked over at the woman next to me and she had a HUGE fungus on her toenail. They proceeded to get her a normal pedi then without cleaning the tub allowed another customer to sit down and get a pedicure.  Now I know why there was dirt on the bottom of my tub. Ended up paying $80 for everything not bad but it seemed a little pricey. Unfortunately due to sanitary reasons I will not be back and I will no longer go to any nail salon that doesn't use tub liners.If you're not concerned about infections or fungus this is the place for you. Came in with no appointment and was really impressedClean, peaceful space with really accommodating staff.Got a full set with pink and white, easily the best acrylics I've had and I've been getting my nails done for the last year.THANK YOU ANN!!! One of my friends referred me here & told me to see Tim for pink & white. He will shape & have your nails looking just like you tell him to! I highly recommend seeing him. And Lily on pedicure gives a wonderful massage. .... I just wish it were longer for the Spa Package #2 (it costs $37) I'll definitely be back! :) Read Less

I am a hairstylist and my nails need to be perfect every time. This is hands-down the best nail salon in South Orange county. My nails are perfect every time they have coffee or water is very clean and the girls are all super awesome.I am not one to do reviews very often but I had to for sunset glow. If you're looking to get your nails done and want to clean safe and nice place to go come here you will not be disappointed. They even do waxing and I have to tell you they are flawless. These ladies want you to be happy. Very happy. I got so happy I had a to overtip, lol.They sit you in a massage chair, turn it on the best setting, come to your side to do your nails. Get the gel? They let you stay in the massage chair. And bring the light to you, along with an ice cold diet green tea. Ahhhh.Waxing, so perfect. Sweet staff, efficient and thoughtful owner (ANN?) - Mai did my nails and they look fabulous. Ditto eyebrows.  I'm certainly returning to see her.The only price difference from my previous, less fab nail salon was a tiny bit more for waxing. Factoring in the pampering and my theory is this is nearly day spa service at slightly more than the crabby, pushy impersonal nail salon price.This was just lovely. I was really excited about coming here because of all of the great reviews, but I was pretty disappointed. Not only were the ladies not very nice, they didn't do a very good job on my gel manicure. They hardly had any options for colors. It took well over an hour and there were little bumps in the polish. I pointed this out and she said it was because my nails were short...I've been getting gel manicures for years now and that's never been a problem. Overall, I'm just disappointed. $30 for a crappy gel manicure rubs me the wrong way. I won't be coming back. Read Less

Nice place, maybe a bit expensive comparing to other salons?Removed my acrylic and replaced it with gelish. The lady was a bit clumsy and I needed to tell her to ease up with the scissor and the dragging of my old acrylic. And then she cut my little finger so bad that I started to bleed. I love this salon. I've been going here since they opened and every experience has been fantastic. I went to Ann on a whim to get my eyebrows waxed for ONLY $10 not knowing what to expect because my normal eyebrow girl was too busy, and was so happy with them! Now I will only go to Ann! I moved to San Diego but still come to San Clemente to get my eyebrows and nails done here. Just be sure to make an appointment before hand! I also recommend the massages.Read Less
