If I could give this place No stars I would have. My daughter saved up some of her Birthday Money (she's 10) to get her first full set. Now I want to be clear that I didn't want her to get them done but it was her money and she was looking forward to this for quite some time. She didn't want anything crazy, She just wanted a short simple white tip. Anyways when I told them 3 pedis and 2 full sets they laughed when they heard one of the full sets was for her. I tried to ignore it and found an area to sit. As we sat there they continued to laugh and kept saying "full set", so I knew they were laughing at her. I looked at my daughter and she was in tears. They made her feel so uncomfortable. They were so RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL!!! She didn't want to stay there. We decided to get up and walk out. I WILL NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS MY MONEY. It's no wonder why you barely have 2.5 stars, no one in this shop can do nails except Van, and people cope an attitude when she is requested. When people patronize your business, the expectation is that they are happy for what they are paying for. The first time I came in was two weeks ago, was satisfied with the outcome, two weeks later the same person was not available so I was stuck with what they had. Told the nail person not to file my nails narrow; what does he do, yes files them too narrow taking away the natural shape and tells me narrow is good. I'm paying for this, you will do them they way I ask fir them to be done not the way you think. I had been going to a previous nail place downtown and felt like they were always rushing and didn't do a great job. I went on google to find a new place and found Paradise Nails & Skin Care. Paradise Nails & Skin Care is really small, only 4 seats but they do an amazing job. I've never left disappointed and they are always on time. Make an appointment, after 5 they are always busy to it's hard for them to take walk ins. They're also open later which is nice when I'm stuck at work late. I got a full set and in less than two weeks I had two broken nails and a number of nails lifting. I spoke with the owner and was told because it was more than a week, I would have to pay for the broken nails. Just wrapped up a Friday afternoon nail session on my lunch break and I could not be more satisfied. First of all on a Friday afternoon, they got me in right away for a gel manicure/pedicure combo (I HATE fake nails, don't ask why) and Diane was simply amazing to work with. An older woman with a gentle manner, she made me feel comfortable right away and took the time to explain the difference between round and square & which shape looks best on the different hand types (square for me). She and the other technician did a flawless job with the gel, and the silver insert came out great, super cute idea! (See pic). Last, it was way under $60 for both the gel mani and gel pedi which I thought was VERY reasonable given the service and the prices of the other local shops. Paradise nails = Big fat ZERO Stars.  Money hungry, poor quality work poor customer service!  Jenny the owner is rude and will low key insult you just to charge for extra services.  Ex...  Jenny- "You sure you don't want your eyebrows waxed?  We can clean up for you,  you need ot and we can do right now"  After the 3rd time of her asking,  i replied  "What are you going to wax,  my eyebrows are tattoo'd!"  She will get upset when you don't agree with having your mani/pedi AND full set done all at the same time.  Then start talking about you in her own language aN smile in your face when you ask what she's saying... She has been in pain and she also cried the night before as my wife unsuccessfully tried to remove the ingrown. When I went in, I told them what was wrong and they attended to her immediately. First of all if I could rate 0 stars I most defiantly would. Girls if you want to be stratified and feel welcomed go to joliens nails and make an appointment with ryan! They are not so good with gel are acrylic nails.. + rude the lady that did my nails start hiting her hands on the table amd talking In chines after I tolds her I did not like my nails .some other lady came to talk for her and said the reason why my nails don't look nice because white polish is a hard color to use...haha I've got my nails white before and they came out flawless. WORST MANICURE I CAN RECALL !!!SUBSEQUENT INFECTION !!!HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!... I wish there was less than one star... Manicurist pulled tools out that were not sealed in any way. Shaped my nails round when they are clearly square. She was rough with my cuticles and actually cut my skin in two places on my left thumb. She then scratched the whole top surface of my nails off with her cuticle tool and then did the worst paint job I've EVER had. I would have complained but it was late and the woman was an elder and I did not want to endanger her job.When I returned with a PAINFUL INFECTION at the injury locations on my thumb to speak with the manager/owner, she basically laughed at me - Her arguments: You should have told me you were not happy at the time. We do not give you any money back. We only fix the problem. How crazy is that ???? As if I would allow someone who injured me to have a second chance at it? -- not only foolish, but mean-spirited and totally self-serving, not client-serving. I hope the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology shuts this place down... I could care less about the overpriced manicure and unwarranted tip I extended ($20 including a $1 credit card fee). I love Mindy she is awesome, she always listens to what I want and let's me know what she can and can't do. If you want a great person to go to for eyebrows, facials and eyelashes she's the best hands down. They do great pedicures as well but they're more expensive and they have a minimum charge to use your credit card, so I have to make sure I have cash if I'm getting something simple. Read Less

TERRIBLE SALON!!! I am so unhappy with my experience here. I called and asked how much a full set was and they told me 20. I went to the salon and they ended up charging me 30. The lady suggested I did my nail shape a certain way and said it would not cost extra but lied and charged me extra for it. She also made my nails way to long and I asked several times to make them shorter and she kept replying she wasn't finished and that they look prettier longer. Good pedicures but they really need to learn what making an appt means. I called early in the morning for an appt at 12:30. They asked if I could come at 1. Sure, no biggie. It's my daughters birthday and I wanted to have a girl day with her.So, I show up at 1 and am told that there's a 30 minute wait. Every time I make an appt here this happens. Why? Because they won't turn away walk ins for fear of losing a buck. I was asked if I could come back later. What? Wth is the point? So I can wait again? I kindly informed her that I've been going there for 8 years and it was time to find somewhere else since I have a life and cannot wait all day in a nail salon. I liked that the lady who did my nails I don't remember the name but she took her time with my nails she did everything I asked her to do . I didn't like there nail polish selection and I also did like that they charge for every nail polish to put on your nails normally at other places its the same price they just charge for design . I came here with my mom last week, and it was okay, the wait was pretty long and they helped some guy that came way later, not sure what he had done or if he had an appt., but I thought that wasn't cool. My mom was a little disappointed because the male tech did not ask what she wanted, he just started filing her nail into a square  shape when she doesn't even like her nails like that. She was happy about her current nail length and wanted to simply add gel polish. He didn't ask what color she wanted, he just started doing a french manicure. They also filed the top of her nail (mine as well, is that a norm for gel nails?). It was my turn and I asked to see the color  selection, and they had a variety. I got sea foam green with gold glitter. They just used the Gelish brand. I didn't get a manicure, I should have pushed my cuticles back a bit because it looked like my nails grew out. There was also a finger where he didn't polish the whole nail. It was okay, but this was my first time, so my expectations were not very high or low.
