I used to travel about 25 minutes from home to a nail spot that I had been a customer of for nearly 12 years, mainly for the fact that they could do amazing designs. One day I did not have the time to do my bi weekly travel and landed in this shop. Oh how I wish I had tried it sooner. Less then 5 minutes from my house and they do an amazing job. Will never come back here again when in to get a pedicure and the girl ignored me the whole time talked to the two other workers and made a hole in my toe which hurt really bad my pedicure came out horrible and I still tipped her 5 bucks so I would never recommend this place worst ever Read Less

Sloppy work. Wasn't the best, I wouldn't waste your time honestly. They woman at the front desk was rude and had an attitude with some of the customers. I've been coming here for years... usually preoccupied with my phone tho lol... I love love love Tao!! She does an amazing job on my hands and Lisa makes my feet look great every time! Good enuff for my man to notice when I change them..(men usually don't notice lol) but it's after 8 and I'm still here because they took me in on a super last min 6:30 appointment... and we have to soak my gel off lol! Came in last night for a gel mani and had Thao as my nail tech and she was amazing!! I was trying to save money by doing my own nails the last few months but my cuticles needed help and she did an awesome job cleaning them up and picking the cutest color for my gel mani and she threw in some marble too. I have to say this was my second and last time at this nail shop. I went in on 08/07/17 for a full set right when they opened. Later that day a piece of acrylic chipped off of my left pinky finger. They started lifting in the edges by the second day and today (08/11/17) they are all of and were easy to remove. The acrylic itself today was very flexible as if it just had been applied. So much for a full set lasting 2 weeks before a fill is due . +$30 went too waste! Read Less

I am definitely hesitant to go to nail salons that I don't know about because they're either over priced, cut my skin, rude or the gel/acrylic nail polish/nails don't last.Fortunately my friend told me about Tips N Toes and I figure I give the a shot after doing research on other nail salons. It was my first time here and I got a gel manicure with a design for about $34 including tip.Pros: Phuong is awesome and friendlyDidn't get cut Nails lasted through - 4 waterfalls hikes in Yosemite, class III & IV white water rafting through the Merced River, and all the escapades through out SF. Price is reasonable Cons: probably ask Phuong to paint the gel polish closer to the edge of my skin? Other than that, awesome young sisters that own the shop!Definitely recommend this place. I came in a few days ago for a pedi after 5 months! I was nervous to go when i was pregnant because my swelling feet were really bad. So I had to wait post baby. I was so nervous going in because i have a 5 yr old and a 2 month old. My 5 yr old made a mess with the snacks i had given. The girls there nice enough to help me clean. And i thought it was going to be a hassle with my baby but everything came out superb! I seriously cant wait to go back. It was so clean. The girls were constantly cleaning throughout my visit there. I never write reviews. Ever. Even with bad experiences. But with the time coming up to going back and get my nails done I seriously wanted to check back on yelp and see if I wasn't the only one that felt what I felt the last 3 times I have been there. Yep, I'm not! Looking at the reviews I agree 1000% Their customer service is horrendous!!!!  It started great somewhat, the first visit. My sister lives by Cal State now and wanted to try to go local because of her baby instead of making the trek to Fontana where we have gone to Professionail for years and (btw AMAZING), compared to this dump)That nail tech (the one I'm assuming most of these reviews are about) was there, kinda snobby with a entitled "I'm better than you" demeanor and tone to her voice. I just assumed she is having an off day or so what my mom and my 2 other sisters assumed. The work was good so we would eventually come back.Second visit the younger girl who did my gel acrylics for my wedding did such an amazing job!! The lady that did my gel pedi did a amazing job as well! All my sisters received great service that time. Fast forward to the 3rd and should have been the last time. I needed a refill and new gel. This other young girl did them. I was fooled because at first they looked "okay" not as good as the other girl's previous work. Within hours they bubbled and warped! My co workers, husband and everyone noticed it! They looked so thick and nasty I felt like they aged my hands! But honestly I just did not feel like going back because I knew I would face what just about everyone on here has faced. Whatever I had them on until I just removed them myself.But that visit was horrendous! That extremely rude tech was there working on my mom she did a good job. But what I can see now is that as long as you don't talk to her or acknowledge you're an actual human being she's working on she does an okay job! Maybe if she let go of her tablet or iPhone she could actually say hello or see that she isn't in Beverly Hills to be acting the way she does. Hello do you not see where your shop is located at? (not trying to offend anyone! But anyone who grew up in the I.E. and knows , just knows!!!) still no way to take it out on your customers giving you their hard earned money!!Anyway the conversations they were having was just so petty and degrading. They made me and everyone else nearby so uncomfortable. They talk about every customer that walks in. At least from the time I was there I could hear EVERYTHING!The lady that did my gel pedi this time butchered my feet I asked if this is the normal process and they said "yeah gel hurts" um no not cool I have wounds on my toes now! Im only relieved now I didn't get an infection as I myself just put neosporin the whole time just incase.The place is indeed pretty disgusting, from far away it looks cute and sleek but upclose u can just see how cheap it all is. I could look past that if their customer service was so different!Only 1 young girl and older lady have done an amazing job and had the attitude to match. Very sweet and attentive!And after all of this I told my sister that lives nearby for us not to ever go back to this place after I told her my experience and she said she was never going to go back. She had taken my mom and her self some time before my visit and had such a bad experience with this nail tech that she will not even tell me what happend. My mom only says I felt like lunging at her the way she spoke to your sister.  Mind you my mother and sister are extremely sensitive and just kind soft spoken girls. It takes a lot to piss them off. And to hear my sister just tell me "I rather not tell you, I just won't ever go back" really is heart breaking.As I read these reviews. It only confirms that I'm not crazy others have seen it and witnessed it as well. I will never go back they lost 5 customers my 3 sisters, mother and I. I don't give it a 0 because there's no such option. I DON'T recommend this place at all.. The 3 girls that work there (two of them are sisters and one is their sister in law) are very rude and they don't do a good job. Last time I went I was very disappointed because they hurt one of my fingers. They work on your nails very rough, hey pretend to be fast, but they hurt you. As a woman, i like to be pampered and relax at a nail shop. I understand they're busy and want to hurry , but you are paying and you need a good treat. Most of the times I go they're rude , but I liked how the guy that works there did my nails. So, I just ignored them. However, now that they hurt my finger I won't go back never again. The service is terrible! I went in for a fill and gel coat. Couple of hours after, I had a bubble on my thumb nail and the rest of the nails started to crack. I called and was told to come for a redo. The technician was rude claiming that my makeup must have ate the gel and discolored them. She was pretty combative with her approach. I asked her for a specific color and she didn't bother to help and said, "I don't know, whatever we have there." Normally I would have left but the problem had to be fixed and I wasn't going to pay again for a problem they did. As she was doing my nails she had to switch bottles and add some solution to the gel bottle. Hasn't been a week and two nails started to crack. Either they're skimping or need to get quality products. I always get gel at other places and I can go almost a month without peels or cracks. Should have read previous reviews before making an appointment and I would have saved myself from disappointments... other reviewers about this establishment's customer service is very true. I've been here three times and each time got worse. Besides being a little pricey, the younger girls are somewhat rude. Worst nail shop I've ever been to! If I could've chose 0 stars, I would. The owner herself (so she said) painted my nails and used old gunky nail polish on me. After 2-3 hours this nail polish wasn't set. Even with me being careful the nail polish was easily leaving indentations. I went back to have her fix just the thumbs even though most of the nails weren't set and she was mad because I rubbed the nail polish to show her and of course because it was old, it smudged. She scolded me as if I were a child and said, "Don't do that!". She roughly grabbed my thumb after she wiped it with nail polish remover and was going to paint it but I saved her the trouble because I wasn't going to have that mean person paint my nails. I moved to the collegcollegea few months ago and I instantly noticed the surrounding area didn't have a whole lot to offer, i decided to try this place a shot.  I had gotten a full set and pedicure and both were done perfectly.
