Tucked away in a perfectly quaint little shop on Main, I found my new beauty home yesterday. I moved to Napa from the East Coast 2 years ago and hadn't yet found a stylist I wanted to return to. Until now. As I walked into the shop through a cheery red door, I was greeted by my stylist, Sara Chappellete, with a sincere and radiant smile.  I was in desperate need of a restyle and as she and I spoke, I gave her a few of my needs (leave it long enough for a pony and no solid color treatment) and handed over the artist license to do as she would. We sat and chatted for 3 hours while she foiled and I processed. An incredible lady that did an AMAZING redo on my look. I left the salon looking like a million bucks!  The highlights were megawatt and took years off my worn-down self. The cut is equally amazing.  It has swing and sass galore!  I  highly recommend a visit to Sara. I assure you, go once and you will keep going back! (Also - special thank you to Wesley, too. Made an appointment to have my hair curled for a Holliday party... and hated it. I was told by the hair dresser that she could do better next time if she were to wash and dry my hair first. Even the other hair dresser asked where I was going and when I told her a holiday party, I could tell she felt bad for me. By the time I was leaving, my hair had no curl and went home to curl it myself. To make matters worse, I was charged $65. Never going back or recommending this place to anyone. Read Less

I stopped in after the remodel and just needed to grab a hair product. I was really surprised by how easy it was to find just what I was looking for! Right away Sara helped me find another great product that would help my blonde hair be a lot healthier! I got both products and the one Sara suggested is now my favorite! I came in with a light brown to blonde balayage looking for a full head of blonde highlights. I showed my stylist multiple photos and she said it would be no problem. My appointment was at 11 o'clock and when about 2 rolled around she shampood and blow dried my hair. I was shocked when I turned around and saw very choppy highlights and immediately expressed my concern and asked her to repair it. She put a brown dye in my roots in hope to mask the choppy blonde and let me sit there for around half an hour to work on another client. She once again washed and blow dried my hair and I was left with dark roots with still blonde choppy highlights penetrating through. I ended up in the salon for 5 hours down $180 and extremely disappointed with my hair. She offered me to come back the next day for a fix but I will be taking my business elsewhere. They advertise blow outs for $45 but that price is just to lure you in. Once I was in the chair I was informed that it is $45 for shoulder length hair (top of the shoulder) and $10 additional for longer. Ok. Then I was informed that it is $10 for each 4 inches bow the top of my shoulder and that my blowout was going to cost an extra $20!!! Feeling like they have me at a disadvantage because I have an meeting to get to after, I agree. She then asks me what style I would like, to which I replied loose curls.The stylist washes my hair, no conditioner and minimal product. I had to keep requesting product in my hair so it would hold and when we were finished I had giant Shirley Temple curls all over my head!!!! What the what???!!# I'm not sure how lose curls translated to that, but I had to show her how to comb thru and restyle the top of my head. No one and I mean no one goes in to a dry bar for a blow out and requests to look like a poodle.  But the real insult was when I was cashing out my grand total was now $75! I was informed that curls are $10 extra. WOW. I was not happy and informed her that she never disclosed the additional cost for curls. They hide all the up charges. Buyer beware...the $45 advertised blowout  price is just to get you in the shop. Your final cost will be much higher. Read Less

A touch of Beverly Hills in our own little St. Helena. Although upping the ante on salon sophistication, the attention and service is genuine and warm. Co-owner and aesthetician Jody is a real sweetheart and a consummate professional using Jan Marini products with great outcome. You will want to come back for repeat facials. Stylist Shirley has the easy going, understated Brit way about her but is a rock star with loads of experience. It wasn't easy surrendering my precision haircut to her - but I've learned to trust her and she hasn't disappointed. Sara Chappellet gave me a wonderful blow out. It lasted 3 days. She's delightful and talented and kind. I give her 5 stars! She used Living Proof blow out which was a fantastic product. She was the former owner of Heaven and Earth which was a Little gem of a store in Saint Helena. She is so kind and understanding and does an amazing job with hair. She listens to exactly what you want and makes it even better. She offers suggestions but will not push you into anything. Scheduled an up-do, received a confirmation for a blowout, called back and was notified that their up-do hair stylist is no longer with them.Disappointed, I still had to take the appointment as it was the day before my event. Confirmed the price to be $55.While there I asked if there was any way to do a simple up-do. The stylist wasn't confident in her ability but said she would try. Then she charged me $85. The whole experience was half an hour and the style was not what I would have expected if it was a true updo...When I questioned the price she claimed she did an updo...not simply putting my hair in a bun. Severely disappointed in my gel manicure by Michl. My appointment was at 1pm today and my left thumb and pinky are ALREADY starting to lift and peel. It's a cute little place. Only one person can have their nails done at a time so if your party is more than one you should probably call ahead and see that they can accommodate you. A little on the pricey side but I guess you have to be in Saint Helena. The staff was friendly. It was a bit cramped but it's to be expected in a galley style boutique. Jojo is amazing! She's one of the few stylists I've met that actually listen to what you want, and is very realistic about if it would work with your hair or not. She took my hair from manic panic red to platinum blonde in 2 visits! Also gave me the best haircut I've ever had! I leave every time feeling sexy and like a rock star. Don't Waste Your Time with the usual name brand hair products anymore (that haven't even worked besides trying zillions of them). I thought I deserve Better results and Sara and her Sweet Staff helped me get Exactly what I wanted and needed and her hair products deliver Fantastic results !! She made sure there were no missed areas and that I was happy with the results before I left. Overcharged and unimpressed with the service. I came here with a friend of mine (who lives in St. Helena) for a hair blowout. We were confused because I was charged $55 for a blowout and she was charged $65 and her hair is probably 4 inches longer than mine. (we didn't pay out together so didn't realize until after we left). I thought it was overpriced but chalked it up to a tourist town. My friend called a couple of weeks later to inquire again about their pricing and was told $45 regardless of the hair length! We were ripped off, not to mention there was nothing special about our blowouts at all. In general, their products are overpriced and the atmosphere is congested and mediocre. Read Less
