I came here on a whim, because I wanted a quick pick-me-up so I got my nails done.Overall, I wish I had not come by here, even though the price was great - $25 for gel mani, including removal. However, lots of things went wrong during my visit. 1. She sat me down, started to cut my nail very quickly and abruptly without asking me for what kind of shape I wanted. She cut and hurt my middle finger, and then realized my nail bed is long. As a nail professional, I would have expected someone to be able to tell if your nail bed is long or short just by looking at it. To be honest, I don't even think the original length of my nails needed to be shortened... But she never asked me what I wanted. 2. Because she hurt me, she was reluctant to file down the nail shapes. So they are quite edgy and angular in weird ways... from just using the nail clipper. In fact, the edge of my thumbnail is jagged, and my index finger's nail edge is not straight.. it's diagonal facing down... \3. She missed a couple spots on my nail, leaving nude areas. I had to ask her to go over it. But each time a layer of gel gets cured, it can't be undone. So I'm left with splotchy, uneven nails.4. On my middle finger, she left a small black fur or dust fragment, which can't be undone, because it's already cured onto the nail. 5. She only gave me 2 coats of color. A nude color. Not even the color I wanted, but I just went with what she suggested I guess, out of time. 6. She only looked at my nails for about 30% of the time she did them. That's probably why they look so bad. She kept looking up and talking to coworkers, or new guests. 2 star review because Vicky, the owner, and the nail lady were nice enough, otherwise I'd rate 1 star, but to keep the rest of the Yelpers out there safe from disappointment, I had to rate this place not that great. I went to get my haircut and the lady didnt cut it the way I wanted it wasn't short enough on the sides and I told her she didn't care she still let me go knowing I wasn't satisfied. I checked Yelp and found Vickys nearby. I needed a quick hair cut because my hair was getting too long, so I just walked in on a Friday morning without an appointment.  The two ladies working in the salon were so nice and welcoming . While VIcky was finishing up with her client , she asked me what kind of hair style I wanted and told me I could look thru the style book they had on table . Even tho I knew I wanted a simple A line , I obliged. A few minutes later one of her assistants took me back and washed and massaged my hair.  Vicky took over for the cut , and she did a great job ! She has skills that belong in higher end salons !  She did a great job and the price was sooooo reasonable !  Vickys salon is clean and maintained. It's not a fancy place , but it works ! I observed two pedicure massage chairs and two nail stations .  Seems like they have a lot of regulars and perhaps an older clientele.  I appreciated the convenience and value of the service here . I gave it 2 stars simply because they were so nice. But the older woman who took of my acrylic nails could not have done a worse job. She did not soak my nails or anything prior or taking an unused acrylic extention to dig under the acrylic nail on my finger and pry it off. It was pretty painful. In doing this, she also broke one of the nails so far down its still attached to the skin. Best part is, she did not file, soak or even pry of the power portion of the nail at all. It is still on my nail. I did not have the heart to tell her what an awful Jon she did so I just paid and left. It's has now been 24 hours and my nails are sore when I put pressure on them. Not to mention that she left all of my nails at different lengths after taking the extention off and cutting down the part that she ruined. I won't go back there for my nails ever again. Read Less

Vicky's Hair & Nails is a great place to get a haircut.  Vicki remember's all her regular customer's name.  Her and her stylists greets you as you enter the door. The price for a men's haircut is very reasonable being at $10.  They even include washing of your hair.  When they wash your hair it's not just add soap and rinse, but it is more like a head massage as they get the shampoo into your scalp.  This place gets busy most of the days so I suggest you book an appointment even if it is just for a  haircut.  Men, if you need a haircut go here and you won't be disappointed.  Ladies I am sure they do a great job on hair, nails, and feet.  (Well guys can get those too). Vicky and her staff take great care of everyone who comes in. Appointments are preferred, but they accept walk-ins as well. I show up unannounced for a pedicure and a haircut and they forgive me right away. Yes, yes, shame on me!They serve both men and women and it is interesting to watch the transformation. While pedicure-ing in the corner, I watch them meticulously transform grizzly, scary people into approachable, and downright huggable individuals. I'm sure glad there are still places like this left. I love this place. She knows what kind of hair won't look good on you. I always respect her input.  Today I walked in. She was super busy, but said I could come back in the pm. So I went shopping and went back there. I gave her how I wanted my hair look this time. She started cutting my hair. I said more to make it thin here and there.  Then I got my hide better than expected. I called my daughter and asked if she wanted her hair cut. She was already on her way home from work and in 5 min she showed up. Vicki took time to cut her long hair layering and stuff. Beautiful ! I recommended her to my coworkers. I read the other reviews before going and maybe I got my expectations set too high.  I was a walk in, so I had to wait, which was expected.  The staff was friendly and they got me right back to have my hair washed.  I waited with wet washed hair in another chair while there were two people in front of me waiting to have their hair cut.  Kind of odd, but not too bad.I showed Vicky a picture of what I wanted and she said no, you cannot have short hair.  I have had shorter hair, so I was surprised.  She apparently thinks my face is too round for a short cut.  I should have walked out at that point, but my hair was already wet.  (Maybe that's how they get you to stay)  She cut my hair and I asked her for layers and then she said my hair is just too thin for layers.  huh?  I have always been told people with thin hair cut layers for more volume.  At this point, I just say fine, it looks great and get out as soon as I can.If you just want a trim, or you don't want a short layered style with a round face & thin hair, this is your place.  I will not be going back. I am a hair snob.  Im actually a generic snob too.  I have ALWAYS gone to upscale hair salons, but I was always coming out with hair layers for some reason.  So I decided to try a "cheap dry cut".  I saw Vicky's in Rancho and I "yelped" it.  They did not disappoint.  I got exactly what I wanted for $15 from LeeAnn.  Im very pleased and I will return to this place every month!  However, I would still visit upscale places for shaping every six months.  Im looking forward to healthier hair because of Vicky's!!They are also very friendly and welcoming. I have been there twice now and both times they have done an amazing job!  I get so tired of searching for a good salon where the person cutting my hair actually LISTENS to me, and I am so glad I've finally found one!  They are amazing at remembering you (I think it was nearly 6 months since I had been there last and they still remembered me) and know a LOT about hair.  They don't just wash your hair, cut it, and send you out the door in 30 mins.  She spent a good hour making sure my hair was perfect and that I would be happy - and I am! - and my stylist even told me about my hair and gave me tips that no one had ever told me in all of my years getting my hair cut.  I will definitely be going back to Vicky's salon.  The price is right and I like how I look when I walk out.  I have no reason to complain! You often times go into an Asian salon and you can expect great prices and a decent hair cut. At Vicky's, you can expect great prices, great haircuts, and excellent..and I mean excellent customer service.If you're fortunate enough to walk in (yes, they accept walk ins) and get the infamous Vicky herself, get ready to get an awesome haircut! But if you don't get Vicky, you are still lucky because all her stylists are top notch. While waiting for a hair cut, because I decided to do a walk in, I observed all her stylists, and they give each customer the BEST service. Not only are they extremely meticulous and detailed, I noticed that on men, they'll even trim their eyebrows and mustaches. Their attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal. If you have the time, get an appointment with Vicky. If not, all their other stylists are just as good.But Vicky has the ability to cut my unruly, wavy, frizzy hair dry and produce great results. I've never had a bad experience here. I went with my aunt once and she got a hair cut, dye, and nails done and they treated her very well.
