I'm a long time client of Folsom Hoshalls, and after moving to Lincoln I didn't have time to drive back for appointments. I found Shades this week and they are amazing!!!!! My stylist found my color profile in the Hoshall database and I was done in an hour! Also, they have a complimentary blow dry bar if you need to lower the cost of your services. This was my first visit to Shades and I was completely satisfied. I scheduled my appointment the evening before and was able to come in early in the morning. I was offered coffee, tea, and water upon arrival. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Coco was my stylist and she was absolutely incredible. I was trying something new: bangs. This can be terrifying from horror stories I've heard about bangs but Coco knew exactly what to do and I love them! She also gave helpful styling tips. The receptionist was so nice and offered me coffee/water/tea when I walked in. The haircuts are quick and great! Only $25 for my cut and they have a blowdry bar where you can style your hair before you go (at no cost!) This is my go to spot when I need my hair cut. The environment here is very clean and "upper-class." Walk in and the first thing you will notice is the complimentary water and coffee bar for while you wait. The girl that did my hair didn't cut my hair the way I wanted. I REPEATEDLY ASKED FOR BANGS!!! I know that cutting my hair the way I wanted would of took more time and her next client was already there but I was also a paying client that deserved to have my hair the way I wanted. Then when I was paying the girl at the counter asked if somebody explained the prices to me for next time. I needed my bangs cut really bad and stopped by this place because I saw it from the road and they were so friendly and helpful at the front desk and if you need a quick service like a bang trim they get you in and out without an appointment. This pace has an awesome atmosphere so clean and I felt like writing a review because I felt very welcomed here and my stylist took her time to make sure I was happy even on such a small simple project. I went in yesterday due to my other hair stylist was super booked out. I ended up seeing Raine and she was amazing. I told her what I liked, she asked a couple times to check length on the hair cut just to make sure she didn't take more off than I wanted, she told me what she was using in my hair, she also gave me a spot on quote before anything was done. They also participate in classes and training to further their expertise. Shades also has a blowout bar where you can blow dry your own hair and style. Read Less

I found 'Cole' at SHADES COLOR BAR about a year ago and have never been happier with the outcome of my haircuts and highlighting. The atmosphere is quiet and uplifting and I feel like I've had a social outing when I'm finished. They are very courteous and helpful at the front desk - Even offering cold drinks. Shades prices are well below other places I've gone in Roseville but expertise is excellent. Occasionally I've had to cancel and appointment and the receptionist has been extremely pleasant offering to make one for another day. I also like being able to schedule online and then receive a phone call to verify and choose another date or time. I've recommended many friends and they too have been completely satisified. Now that I have to cover my greys more often it was getting expensive until I found Shades. They will touch up my roots for $32. and do a fantastic job! I don't need a hair cut every time or a blow dry and style, so I don't have to pay for them. Most salons were charging me over $100. just because they were drying my hair too!
