I don't know why I even bother coming here, yes it's close to home but they never listen to what you want done. And when asked to correct a crooked nail they say "I don't see it." Very disappointed, this salon used to be very nice and they did a great job....now it's just another nail salon. I hope one day Yelp provides a "no star" option, this place has really lost its touch. AWFUL!!! The first time in 15 years I've been cut badly. I only came here because the lady I normally go to at a different salon is on vacation. Jessica was recommended while my normal lady is out. Well, she started off very sloppy and extremely fast, I asked her to slow down, but she didn't. Then she wasn't paying attention, going extremely fast & the tool she was using cut a big chunk out of my finger and nail bed, bleeding very bad. I get my nails done here every two weeks by Christine and they always turn out amazing. However, yesterday, while getting my nails done, I started to ask about the eyelashes she does. Semi skeptical, I trusted her to give it a try and I left feeling like a million bucks! Christine did an amazing job and made sure i was comfortable every step of the way. Got a pedicure. Rockstar + the second level or option for pedicure with the parafin. It was really nice but took over an hour! But somehow ended up being 90+$ Never again. Not even sure how it came out to that but I was to pissed and in a hurry to ask, as it was Christmas Eve. Maybe they charge 40$ to put dry glitter on gel???? Which is f***** insane. I'll be going to my regular spot, luxury nails & spa! Much more efficient, and quality without such a ridiculous price tag. Yes it's pricy, but you get what you want and it lasts!!!they are very nice and if you mess up your nails a day or two later and come in they will fix it for you, free of charge. Never had a problem here and that's why it's the only place I go to. Read Less

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! I should have looked at reviews before I went, my husband and I went here because it is close to our house and we didn't have a lot of time. First off they didn't want to seat us next to each other, not even across from each other. They wanted to put us on opposite sides of the building, facing away from each other. Usually when you go to a nail salon with someone else they try and let you sit next to each other. One lady seemed like it was a complete inconvenience to her that I wanted to sit next to my husband. I got seated first and after about 5 minutes they finally sat my husband. Now I don't expect for my husband's pedicure to last as long as mine, he doesn't have color to take off or put on, but I do expect it to be longer than 10 minutes. The lady doing his toes somehow did everything plus callus remover in less than 10 minutes. She seemed so rushed and tried to get it done as fast as possible. For $26 I would think it would at least be long enough for you to enjoy the pedicure. My pedicure wasn't much better, the ladies kept switching back and forth so one person wouldn't know where the last one left off. Once I was done I realized I never once saw the multiple people doing my pedicure change gloves between the people they were going back and forth doing pedicures for. There was never any tools being put in any kind of sanitizer. While I was still sitting in my chair waiting for my toes to dry the lady cleaned out my chair with the towel she used to dry my feet with. Overall it was a complete waste of time and money. This was my first visit to Red Persimmon Nail and Spa and I have to say I am SO in love with my nails! I went in for a full set (it's been a while for this Mom of two toddlers) and thanks to some great friends who got me a Red Persimmon gift card I was able to take some me time!  Christine was my nail technician and she did a fabulous job ( I can be pretty picky when it comes to my nails) but I showed her a picture and wait for it......she nailed it! NOT IMPRESSED WITH HIGHER PRICES & LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL- POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I like this place for convenient location by mall entrance, walk-in availability & plenty of chairs. Their massage chairs are comfortable. However, they are overpriced compared to other salons that do a better job and give you more for lower prices. Never been a big fan of mall salons. This last time Jennifer did my pedicure. I paid for the salon pedi that was almost $50 for extra massage, my favorite part. She did not give the full massage & did a horrible job painting my toes. She changed the flower 3 times cuz she wouldn't do what I asked. She was very nice & not at all rude about it, but very stubborn in doing what she wanted & not what I requested. My polish started to chip a couple days after, which was very disappointing cuz I usually can go a few weeks before it starts to chip. My niece had Tina & she gave her beautiful flowers & her polish did not chip at all during our entire 3-week trip. If I go back, I'll request Tina. Read Less

If I could put zero stars, I would! They broke my nails after pulling off the acrylic off instead of soaking them in acetone and hurt me bad. After I got upset and said just do the manicure, that is what I came out with (see pictures) and still paid $18. Will never go back there Read Less

If there was an option for no stars, that is the rating I would ive this place. Me and my mom used to go once in a while when we couldn't get in with Tammy at Best Nails in Galleria, but we will NEVER go here again. It is expensive and we could have done a better job ourselves. I got a regular manicure and this lady spent maybe 7 minutes tops and did a sh** job. Worst manicure I have had and I get a lot of manicures. She kept looking up at the door every few seconds instead of just enjoying the time with her client and getting a good tip (which i ususally give 50%). Also my mom got a fungus twice from here. Honestly someone should call state board. Maybe it will be me. Save your money or go somewhere else. Greedy, crappy and not worth a try. Read Less

Service was okay but they don't have a wide selection of gel. I had to change my color twice because the ones from the samples where gone. I feel like the polish colors are also old. All I wanted was a manicure, the receptionist convince me to get gel nails. The manicure and the gel nails were horrible. I called back to complain and I was told to come back and they would fix everything. What they didn't tell me it wasn't for free. When this place first opened it was really nice! Everyone was kind and the service was perfect. As the years have gone by this place has become just like the rest... a mess. The receptionist was not happy to be there. She was not friendly and seemed to hate her job. They seated me near the back and on the tables where manicures are meant to be done, there was food all over them. The women were rude and only spoke to me when they asked what serviced I wanted. My pedicure was alright but my manicure was horrible... I probably do a better job than she did on me... Overall this is not where you want to spend your money. 1. I have tried this place so many times. I honestly really want it to be my go to place because it's les then a mile from my house. I have never once had a good experience here. From broken nails to cuts EVERY time I go.... My nails always seem to have white crusty stuff around them a couple days after fills too. It's not my skin. It's where the acrylic they use chips off. Went last night for a new set of acrylics and a pedicure. The ladies were both very nice but I have one toe nail that is so short it hurts and cuts on my fingers from drilling. Both ladies have worked there for years and should know how to provide service without cuts or cutting nails too short. It's also way over priced. I have been coming here for about 6 months now... Maybe a few more.  The salon itself is just OK.  I however come from nail tech Christine.  She is great.  I only get gel for both manicures and pedicures.  I am very particular an since I find someone I like, I stick with them.  She is very friendly, personable and has a great schedule.  The cost is more then I paid with my old salon in Moreno Valley, but I have tried several places in Riverside and this salon is comparable in price.  Unfortunately pricing in Riverside is ridiculous, not the salons fault. I went here only because KC Nails was an hour wait. I hadn't been here since it first opened years ago. Now I remember why! First, they do not have a lot of colors, designed tips, or gel colors. Second, they rush and do a mediocre job. And last, they are expensive! $20 for a regular pedicure and $40 for white tips. They also tried to charge me $8 for a polish change on my daughter's toes. The absolute worst mani and pedi in my life . First off they only cut the nails on one of my hands so I reminded them and lady tells me later ! Later , what does that mean? Secondly , the royal pedicure is a joke . The so called 15 minute massage was maybe 6 minutes and couldn't even feel it not mention scrubs and paraffin wax used on my feet were per measured so unless your shoe size is 4 in children's  there isn't enough to do the job . Obtained pricing information online through this site that states their address and through singleplatform from my map quest. Both have pricing that shows a less expensive cost. When I bring this up to the 2 Asian lady's there they argue there $30-$40 pricing difference on the mani/pedi combo and said it's for the Tyler mall address, when I show them that the sites specifically show there address they talk amongst themselves in there language and tell me it's wrong and that's not there prices. Never will I come back to this place, not just because of there expensive pricing but because they did not even try to compromise due to the online error, the extremely long wait, and lack of communication when providing my services. I went to Red Persimmon without any appointment. When I walked into nails salon, there are some people who were waiting. I was surprised that they did their job with quick speed; the number of customer was decreased. I actually love Red ‘service and staff team. The staff was awesome and did great job. They even didn’t receive a big tip from me. What they did my massage and manicure showed they were professional in nail service. My massage lasted as long as I required. I didn’t pay any extra cost as usual. I had a fake nail but they are even natural than anything. The price couldn’t be beat. I asked for a full set and they asked if I wanted gel on them and I said yes and they just put gel on my own finger nails when I clearly asked for fake nails on dumb people charged me way to much I'm never going here ever again I don't recommend anyone to ever go here!
