Unsanitary. I went to get my underarms waxed and the lady doing so didn't seem to know what she was doing. Her English wasn't good so I couldn't communicate with her. It seemed like she only had experience with waxing eyebrows even though the lady at the counter told me they wax everything. The lady doing my waxing started out by trimming my underarm hair first with little eyebrow scissors which made me question why she would even do that; not to mention that she would pinch some of my skin in the process. She then applied the wax under my arms and the wax strip and proceeded to start waxing my underarms. I bleed which is normal and the lady would stick the same wax stick in the wax and then under my arms again. I'm sure she spread my blood all over the hot wax she was using. Every time she waxed a patch she would show me the hairs and make faces. It felt very judgmental. Because she had trimmed my hairs so small, there were some patches which didn't wax. She then proceeded to pluck them which was a very painful unnecessary experience. She didn't even pluck them all and I left with uneven patchy underarms. I feel sorry for the next person who she waxes after me since my blood is already spread inside the wax; good thing I'm clean, but it makes me wonder if the person before me wasn't clean. Now I need to make appointments to get my blood tested for the next 12 months. Over all a very disappointing and painful experience, I would not go back there especially if I catch some kind of a desease from this place. Now this has me all worried. Read Less

Got my nails done for the first time at this place less than a week ago. I got acrylics. They are already lifting and chipping. Not very good quality for the price. $45 dollars for nails that don't even stay on for a week. Pretty ridiculous. Won't be coming back here again. Read Less

As someone who has gone to David Lee's since moving here in 2013, I was shocked how great this place was. Yes I have had that one chair that didn't work, but I've seen them fix it when I pointed it out. It's quiet and I can sit and watch football or HGTV and no matter what's going on they have always sat me within 10 min or less. For the price and location it's wonderful. Normally you go to the spa for a relaxing treat for yourself. I didnt know what I was going to experience this time around at Queen Bees.If I knew, I wouldn't have went. First off, I asked for a full set of Gel pink and Whites. After 35 min, I realized the woman working on me was not doing what I told her to. I just saw her cleaning up my nails, removing dead skin, applying clear polish, then I realized hey, she is giving me a white tip on my natural nail when I wanted the gels. So after all of that wasted time,they had me go to another nail tech. I had to start all over from the way begining,sit in the chair for another hour, or hour and a half. The whole proccess was painful. The male nail tech was not gentle,very rough,rushed so to the point he made me bleed 7 times and buffed soo low, I got burned. Afterwards he applied acetone to my nails to remove the gel, burning my cuticles. Lesson learned, I will never go back again. Read Less

When I had my house buildt in 2005 in CrossRoads, Queen Bee Nails was most welcome. I have been a customer since they opened and have found Vicki and her staff to be very professional, friendly and I have never once left disappointed with my nails or pedicure. Tammy is the only one I will let work on my feet, as she is very patient and I like her work. As for my nails, anyone can do them, I appreciate the convenience of being 3 blocks from the shop, and I am a regular very satisfied loyal customer. Read Less

This is the only place i will get my eyebrows waxed! I have been to many places in modesto that rush to get you out and on to the next person. They dont care if they rip your skin off they just do it as fast as they possibly can. Tiffany at queen bee usually always does my eyebrows i recomend her to everyone who is looking for a new place to get there waxing done. She is very neat, gentle, and as pain free as waxing can get. I have gone to Queenbee nails twice now, and both times have been EXTREMELY unsatisfied. I walk out with an expensive tag and very unhappy. This last time, they lady (barley spoke english) walked away from me in the middle of doing my nails for 20 minutes, to do who knows what. She argued with me about my nails, saying they would break (i had just a little acrylic put on top of my natural short nails so harden them.. not sure what there was to break, there was no tips) I advised her they were too thick, she wouldn't do anything about it. I was very unhappy, they knew I was as well, and didn't do anything to try to keep what could have been a good customer. I walked in the Chervon across the way after I left, When I explained they lady who rang me up that I was frustrated due to my visit to Queen Bee, she said she went one time and walked out crying and would never go again.
