Great service! I walked in at 5pm asking for a mani/pedi. I let the guy doing my pedicure know that I had to be gone by 5:45pm and he said it would be no problem. I was out of there by 5:40pm. They were also super nice when I came back 30min before closing because I had accidentally smudged 2 of my toe nails one of my finger nails. I hate being a complainer but i like to share what happened so potential customers can be forewarned. Affordable, but you get what you pay for. I went in because i saw the pictures of the beautiful nails and positive reviews. Nails aren't the worst I've had, but definitely not the best. A couple nails are uneven. Making my fingers look deformed. Polish job is patchy. Unfortunately i didn't notice until i got home because i was in a rush. (My fault) i guess only thai and Vivian do a good job? According to reviews. I believe Vivian doesn't even work there anymore since her instagram says she works in Moreno Valley. Unfortunately thai was busy. I wish i would have waited. I had an older man do my manicure, i do not recommend. pedicure is absolutely terrible. I get a pedicure every three weeks, I'm never getting a pedicure here again. I've NEVER had polish do that. I've been here 3 times thinking "next time will be better" .. first time i got a pedicure and the lady, i don't know her name, cut my skin open and it got infected. Second time I got a full set and another lady cut my cuticles open with the drill or saw thing. And this 3rd AND LAST TIME the lady was rough, extra rough, and I got my nails done yesterday and two of my GEL NAILS are lifted and coming off. I've never had this issue with gel polish. I really wanted to like this place because it is a lot cheaper than the place I usually go to, but the service was simply sub-par. The interior was aesthetically unappealing and was in obvious need of some cosmetic work; it also smelled very strongly of chemicals. I went in today for acrylic nails and gel polish on my fingernails. The woman who did my nails (the oldest lady there, so I assumed most experienced) was unfriendly and gruff, even though I told her it was my first time there and was interested in finding a new salon. She was very rough with my hands! She cut me twice with her electric file and she literally gave my hand a little slap each time she wanted me to switch which hand was under the light. She did not have the color I had chosen from their options, but we found an other which was fine. The most irritating thing is that she refused to give me a rounded-square tip. She kept showing me on a nail remnant what my options were: SUPER square (almost duck-bill shape) or SUPER round. I showed her a picture of a squoval nail and she said “okay, round.” The finished product was indeed round, but did not even follow the lines of my natural nail. It is difficult to see in my pictures, but if you want to see their other work, they have an Instagram @josephinenails909 where you can see how crooked they make the nails. For my service I paid $30, and $3 for a tip, so $33 total. Came while on  my lunch break today to get a fill the lady tells me " I don't have time!" Twice!! there was only  two technicians in there and both where with customers which I completely understand but terrible customer service instead of saying "unfortunately we don't have time to do a fill try coming back at later time" or at least tell me what time would be good for a walk in . Your average nail salon. Went in for the first time and they seemed understaffed. I told the woman doing my pedicure to target dry skin near the cuticle area and she heavy handedly went in with the pumice stone and a NAIL FILE...yikes. Always do a good job on nails. They have very fair pricing as well. It's can get busy and they will turn people away instead of making them wait and say it'll be "10 minutes" when it's really an hour. I recommend getting there early or making an appointment. So I've been trying to find a good nail salon close by and decided to give this place a try after the reviews. Pedicure is $17, manicure is $13, mani pedi is $26 and apparently $5 for design. The lady who did the SD designs (Vivian) mentioned in a lot of the reviews has left, which I wish I knew before going in. Overall, this place is a small room but relatively clean and the price seems cheap(er). I'll start with the pros: they are very gentle! Very careful and seem to be detail-oriented, it does seem that they put their best effort as they take their time with you. The collection of colors was good, staff was friendly, parking space wasn't an issue as there was ample on the street. I would recommend for just mani-pedis. Towels used were also clean. Cons: design on my nails were not satisfactory and the tools used were not disposable and were not opened in front of me (appeared to be re-used after being soaked in perhaps alcohol). This is a big deal to me but may not be for you. The small place also retained a pungent odor of work done on acrylic nails. Having said that, if looking for a place to get a mani-pedi then you may have found it. Read Less

I've had my nails done three times at Josephine Nails and  I have been very impressed with the work. Thai has done my nails two times and I will keep going back to her! She does awesome work and takes her time to make sure they look great. She is so helpful on deciding on what colors to pick and how to coordinate an accent nail. Can't wait to go back for a fill. The most terrible treatment I have ever gotten at a nail salon. The woman at the front took a look at me and straight up said that she was busy all day. Didn't try and make an appointment later with me. I am going on a late afternoon date and I'm wearing nice clothes I don't look dirty or any type of way that should have made her react that way to me. I was very disappointed with this salon. I was in town for work and needing to kill a couple hours while waiting for my flight out of town. I planned to see my normal salon when I was back in town but I was in the Redlands area and searched for a salon with good reviews. The salon itself was run down, dirty, and hot inside. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure. In neither did the nail tech clean underneath my nails. During the pedicure he didn't take care of the sides of my big toe nails, where ingrowns can easily start if they aren't maintained. He didn't even buff the nails at all and they had dis colored slightly from having dark polish on. The massages for both were a matter of seconds in length and completely wimpy in pressure/technique. I travel back and forth between California and Colorado. I always make an appointment with Tai for a gel manicure and a pedicure whenever I'm in Redlands. Between here and there, she is by far, the best and most thorough manicurist I have been fortunate enough to find. She's also very friendly and personable and gives a darn good massage. Read Less
