Called at 5:30 asking if 6 was too late of an appointment (they close at 7) and the lady was like "No come right at 6!"  I got there and started my pedicure and she was so amazing. I was relaxing and realized "well maybe I should ask if they can do a gel manicure"... the woman doing my pedicure asked another woman and they said of course! At this point I didn't want to hold them past their closing time but they were so accommodating and nice! As someone from Poway, I had never been here and with how amazing they were- I will definitely be returning! I felt like they took their time even as closing was approaching and they made sure I was happy with my nails! They turned out great, the color is perfect for 4th of July! And my toes match! I used to love this place-But I promise you this! I am in town for business and decided to treat myself to a to a pedicure. I came with a girlfriend and they were very accommodating for two walk ins. So I'll start with this, I was going to a different nail salon for about a year, and after I had my son they became increasingly rude to me when I would bring him with me, be snoody about how I was paying (not cash) etc....but was too afraid to try a new place since I can't complain about how they do nails! I've read different Yelp reviews and Roses Nail Salon always stood out to me, especially since I am always in that Target...I do hair and one of my clients was telling me that his fiancé worked there, and I took that as a sign, and man I'm glad I did!Thuy and everyone else was so friendly when I walked in to get an appointment for later that day, and she obviously got excited when I told her her fiancé recommended me! I came back for my appointment and not only were they all excited about my son, she was quick! Thuy is seriously SO nice, she made me feel like I've been going there for years! She has serious talent and I couldn't be more happy about how my nails turned out! The moral of the whole store was awesome, you can tell they care about their clientele and that's important. I love this place I am a regular and I get my nails done by a lady called Thuy. She and her sisters do a great job and I will take it in turns to do my nails. I have acrylic nails which are done beautifully and everytime I go to a different nail place they always have to fix what the other people did. I'm a nail/pedicure junkie I hop and I need to get in where ever I can and whichever area I'm in, and who is CONSISTENT and quick and GOOD. Time and again I am back at Rose's for all of the above. No matter what time of day they greet me (hi April!) Quyen knows my color and if I only have an hour to spare I can get gels and a pedicure- and they LAST. I can tell Quyen what I want, be as picky as I want, they put up with me and give me what I want. In a timely manner. I'm a hairdresser, I know great work and my gels HAVE TO LAST: they do here, and they will do as many coats as I ask for.Consistency is hard to come by, but I can find it here. My daughter and I were going to get our nails done today. We are new to this area so my husband looked up reviews on nearby salons. When he warned me to avoid Rose's I should have listened. They just opened when I arrived. I walked in and the nail technician who greeted me had a stink look on her face. Here is the convo:Her: "can I help you?"Me: "do you take walk ins?"Her: "you'll have to wait. Can you see we are busy? We can't help you until 10."She went on to offer an appointment. I gave her may name to be put on the appointment list.  I thanked her and she says. "Uh huh" with such a bad attitude. Like I was a bother. I left and went to my normal spot, Nail Fantasy in Rancho Peñasquitos. I've been going there for 3 years now and the ladies are always welcoming, even when busy. Awesome and courteous customer service! Although it was busy I was fortunate enough to jump in to a last minute cancelation. There was a very relaxed - "Cheers" vibe to the place.  Everyone instantly new my name and I was treated like a regular. Efficient and thorough work on my pedicure! My oil massage was soothing! So these gals may not be fancy, but they do know nails! After a year hiatus from doing gel polish because my nail beds were getting wrecked from the removal, I asked a good friend how she kept her gel nails on for so long without damage. She swore on Rose's Nails and said that because they removed them a different way, there was little to no damage. She was right. I have now gone back for my 3rd gel manicure, and I won't be going anywhere else. Their pedicure chairs for spa pedicure are mediocre, but I usually get my nails and toes done at the same time, so I just have the foot tub. The pedicure techs are courteous, fast and they actually speak to me. Qyan and Thuy run a tight ship. This place is good for some girl time and laughter... and pretty nails to boot. Read Less
