I heard about this place from a co-worker who got a beautiful gel manicure and decided to give them a try and they gave me the best gel manicure for the best price! I love the way my nails were naturally shaped and they had so many gel colors to choose from! For the affordable price of $30 I would definitely recommend to others! I came in with an appointment for Michelle and it was the best experience ever! She was super sweet along with the rest of the girls and we joked around/had a great time while she did my nails. Not only did they come out better than the photo I showed her but she mentioned getting gel in order to preserve/not stain (I'm new to nails and didn't know). I really enjoyed my time here on my birthday (11/29/17). I received the gel mani and spa pedi special. Everyone was pleasant and the store owner was more than accommodating to my friend and I. Both of the technicians were gentle, used sanitized tools, and provided great customer service. My glitzy gel mani has only chipped a little and is still neat and intact 17 days later. I'm officially done with this nail salon. I haven't been in months due to the sloppy service, but came back again to give them another try. As usual, they filed all my nails to different shapes and lengths. The nail tech did not fully polish the edges of my nails, and I had her retouch a few areas. I am so disappointed. They can't even file the nails straight and my nails don't even look cleaned up. All my nails on my left foot are crooked. You get what you pay for. They no longer have my business. Read Less

Large shop, many chairs. Can always get 3 seats together when I go here with my mom and daughter. I didn't like the "sander" used on my feet last time. Most of them use files to smooth your feet but a guy used a sander which was unnecessary. It hurt and burned my skin every so often. It was also loud and embarrassing. Read Less

I have a strange luck where I always have the salon owner do my nails! Ann is the dedicated owner and she quickly came to my service once she knew I needed my acrylics filled and the other nail techs were busy. She corrected my square nails by making them more narrow, and also helped me pick a color/holographic powder! She is up to date with the nail trends, even offering advice on what looks good and what doesn't. The price wasn't bad either. For fills, they are $25, but if you are replacing a gel nail color (which I did) it was an additional $15. visited Aloha nails on saturday with my friend and we did not have an appointment but we were seen right away! At first the lady at the front desk informed me that there was not a manicurist available to do my nails, which i was fine with because I knew that I didn't have an appointment. While I was getting my pedicure, one of the manicurist's came over to me and told me that she could fit me in before her next appointment! I was so grateful! I wanted to get chrome acrylics but with like a white pearl color (something that I had seen on pinterest). However, she told me that they did not have all of the stuff but instead she worked with me and we were able to figure out something that looked almost exactly as what I wanted. I was soooo pleased with my experience here! To top it off, the prices are the best that I have seen for a nail salon. You can get a regular polish mani/pedi for $27.00 or a gel manicure and regular polish pedicure for $45.00. You seriously cannot beat that!! This is my new go-to nail salon :) Read Less

I've been here a few times before. Experience keeps going downhill each time. Mani/pedi for $27 isn't too bad.. But sloppy polish, & cuts are included. There are times I really thought that if  I looked down, I'd find blood.. . And ohh don't forget a polish remover fee - that's an additional charge. . By this time, I've spent way more than I  do with the other salons I go to. Seriously, a polish removal fee??! You're out of your mind! I've never been charged that before here or any other place.Sad part is, my nail tech took her time, (which was nice) she was sweet.. Just rough and sloppy. I wasn't going to leave a review of the experience. Hoped all would be ok later.. Well, by night, my fingers are red and super tender. Took a shower, the water stung so bad! Great salon! This place is huge for a nail salon. Poway has much needed a good one. Everyone is very professional. They have a lot of staffing each day. Not children friendly so don't bring your daughter to the salon if she is under 13. I thought I'd treat my 12 year old daughter to a pedicure & manicure but was quickly told when we got there that she wasn't allowed to use the massage chair. Reason was they have kids who have come in, pushed buttons & broke their chairs. Maybe they should remove "Children" services off their site & the picture of a young girl who looks under 10 off their site. Our first & last visit to this salon. Also use cheap nail polish, no OPI. On my way here to Aloha nails and  spa and wanting to get a mani/pedi since my last experience at the other place was poor and unacceptable. Luckily, my friend told me the other day that she was here, the lady who worked on her cut her up and that she was bleeding. While she was there, she witnessed other employees there didn't clean and sanitize their implement tools, they re-using their implement from their spa chair to the other without going through proper sanitation. Came for a walk-in and waited at the counter forever. Finally got to the lady running the front only to be ignored while she grabbed another employee to tell her something, making us wait even longer. Finally after around 10 minutes without any help, not even a hello, my friend said that she wanted acrylics and was told that there was no one doing acrylics on a SATURDAY. So we sit down to pick out our colors and another lady walks up to see what we wanted. My friend tells the woman that she only wanted acrylics. So I asked if there was any way they could do them. What nail salon can't do acrylics? Then the front desk lady over hears our convo and yells from her desk, " I ALREADY TOLD YOU WE ONLY HAVE ONE PERSON DOING ACRYLIC." First, I never asked her about acrylics, my friend had. Second, she told us NO ONE was doing acrylics. Third, how dare you interrupt a customer convo for an "I told you already." What the hell. Being over it, I bluntly said, "I wasn't talking to you." and I said it quietly. She retaliated with an, "I HEARD THAT!" I was so annoyed at her immature behavior... trying to tell a customer off. Super nice service, very cute and clean setup. Front desk is super helpful and polite. The basic manis are $10 but my nails were painted on a little thick and got chipped easily. This was my FIRST and LAST visit to Aloha Nails.  My nails are uneven, jagged, splitting, breaking and sore from my cuticles being cut too deep.  I have to cut my nails down to the nub of my fingertips and start all over  again.  I don't know if I had a new Tech or what, but....at this time, she definitely needs alot more practice!  I was late for my interview and my nails have to be done all over again and are ruined!  I will NEVER refer anyone to this place of business. I had to update my review to reflect my last visit which was yesterday 2/15/17. Called to make an appointment w Sammie for a pedi - unfortunately she was gone for the day. Since I've been here a few times and always had a great experience I decided to come in anyway. I'm 8 months pregnant so my nails are growing so fast, I have my baby shower this weekend so I couldn't wait and had to come back 2 weeks after my last visit.Got the gel mani and basic pedi special again- the gal who did my mani was not wearing the coat everyone else wears w the name tag, so I'm not sure what her name was. She did a a good job, was a little rough at times. But I am satisfied with the end result.Pedi was done by Mia- she was was not gentle. She did a little cut while trimming the cuticle on one of my big toes. When she was painting my nails and then cleaning any polish of my toe- she used her nails to wipe any extra off, and they were sharp. Fast forward to this morning and it seems like I have a hang nail on the second toe of my right foot. It's uncomfortable to walk, it's super tender and it hurts all along the nail- especially in the cuticle area - this was not the toe she cut that I mentioned above.I am very disappointed. I usually do not let nail salons cut my toe nails for this reason , but at this stage of my pregnancy it's hard for me to do it myself. This place was ok. The vibe was very, ehh. I didn't feel very welcomed. I came in for a pedicure & acrylics. The pedicure was good. Not the best but it was good enou for $25 or whatever it is. When it came time to do the acrylics the manager looked confused & was giving off an imitate bad attitude. After seeing her give me the evil eye & telling me I can only get a mani pedi for $25 (which I did not ask for, I asked for an acrylic full set & I knew it would cost more than $25) I just paid for the pedi & left. Found this place because it's next to Homegoods. I'm here on a Sunday and they're pretty busy! Everyone who has walked in has been attended to and greeted quickly. Came here on a Friday thinking I didn't need an appt. Was initially disappointed when I walked in as it took awhile for someone to acknowledge that I was standing at the counter. Needless to say there was a bridal party there so they were pretty busy. The wait was about 30 mins. I was hesitant to make an appointment as first impression wasn't great.... Anyhow came back the next day (with an appointment) and was glad I did. Got the gel mani and basic pedi special for $40 plus $10 for pink hombre glitter thingy. Karen did my mani. She did an amazing job. Not only did she take her time and was gentle with my nails but she is freaking hilarious!!!! My pedi was okay done by another technician. I come to this place almost once in month .I get my regular pedicure manicure package done which is just $25 I am giving this place 4 stars on the basis "it's good value " for money .This place is clean , gives lot of option of nail paints I mostly get alternate colors on my nails Like pink and purple combo or sometimes metallic like silver n gold All the employees are well trained n on asking can give nails square round or sharp shapes This place has quite big sitting area n you generally don't need to take appointments way in advance , sometimes walk in also work with small 15-20 min waiting , in which you can sit n relax on sofas , browse paints or just go to home goods for small home decors Read Less

I love going to Aloha Day Spa in Poway, at the corner of Midland and Poway Roads. The staff is skilled in their area of expertise, the decor and equipment is up to date, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and I always feel more serene when I left than when I arrived. And the facialist and Foot Reflexology are bonuses! Plus, although you need to book some services in advance, they do have some walk-in service. Fantastic! Read Less
