I know how it is trying to find your perfect nail lady. Well I found the BEST nail lady ever in "Jade" at Professionail on Channel Islands. Let me just start with the fact she will never say no if I call her and tell her I want to get my nails done. No matter what time it is. 10 mins to close, she will still do it and do it well ! She knows how I like my nails done( shape, length) without me even telling her. She also remembers everything I tell her and follows up on the conversation weeks later. Gel manicure and deluxe pedicure! Staff was friendly and made sure I was comfortable. The gel manicure was your usual gel manicure. I must say the deluxe pedicure was fantastic. Starting with the sea salt scrub to intense foot scrub and then full lower legs hot oil massage. I would definitely come back again! Read Less

Every time I come in they're welcoming and friendly! My go to is usually Michael unless he is busy but I'm not very picky so I go to whoever is available! They always spend a lot of time on my nails making sure they're exactly how I like them! Extremely happy with my services here and will continue to come! Last night I called at around 6:30 after a horrible experience at another nail salon (Le's nails in Oxnard near the Walmart) asking if I could come in for a gel manicure. I went in for an eyebrow wax and the lady answered a phone call WHILE THERE WAS HOT WAX ON MY FACE!! She then pulled it off while holding the phone between her cheek and shoulder. When she was finished she didn't give me a mirror to look at them just said "you're done" and walked out of the room. I understand I shouldn't expect the best waxing experience from a nail salon but I don't think it is too much to ask for 5-10 minutes of undivided attention so my skin doesn't get burned (which it did). I'm really upset with my experience! The lady made my big toe bleed and tried to stop the bleed by putting clear nail polish on my cut which made it sting! She never even apologized. She was very uncaring and unfriendly.  She was very rough and heavy handed as well and when I asked her to be more gentle she blew me off and said I was very sensitive. Well First let me start by saying....Annie, Jennifer and Sandy! I love them they have always been very friendly with me...never a bad look...Sadly Linda walks in and always ignores me...never says hi...she makes me feel like I smell or something...other people well last Thursday I walked in at 915am I wanted a pedicure. .I literally had to ask one of the girls...is anyone else coming in soon? She said yes in a few minutes ...40 minutes later I'm still sitting there no one kept me updated..I got ignored! Nobody was there yet...I walked out and went back to the place I used to go took a few years back! Victoria Nails! They were so happy to see me! What a difference! I'm glad I left! They are the opposite of "ProfesioNAL". I come to this nail salon because it is conveniently by my house but every time I come here I regret it. They are CRAZY expensive! 32 dollars for a gel manicure. But the worst thing about this place is their customer service. I agree with all the reviews below. All these nail ladies do is talk crap in their language CONSTANTLY....and you can tell it is about their customers. You can't relax here and just simply listen to the music cus all they are doing is talking and talking. Their manager/boss should seriously do something about this because it is mad annoying. ALSO, you have to pay for the slip on sandals and they charge you for swiping your credit card. We are already paying crazy amounts of money for a mediocre mani and pedi, the least they can do is throw some cheap slip on sandals. I really liked the lady who did my nails but the experience at the salon really sucks . Everyone is yelling in their language constantly and laughing and mostly about you and people walking in , and it's exhausting. A spa should be peaceful and quiet and relaxing and I'm not saying they shouldn't talk however they are yelling for an hour in your ear and I'll just pass. Customer for 3 years. My last experience made me decide to take a break. I got a basic pedicure with gel, and a new set of acrylic nails, and was charged for the usual Deluxe pedicure. My nails looked terrible, full of bubbles and started coming loose around the edges after 5 days, which is not normal. That's not even the worst from this visit. I asked if she still had to cook dinner when she got home, she said "yes, we're not lucky like you." I work two jobs and rarely have time to go in, when I do I always tip generously. I had the worst experience at Professional Nails in Port Hueneme. I have never felt so berated, belittled & disrespected at an establishment in my life. I came in on the 24th of February after being referred to them by my mother, a loyal client.Cindy did my manicure and within the first week they began falling off when I did everyday tasks. As soon as I told her they fell off within the first week she began yelling at me and accusing me of lying in front of customers. She then dismissed me by turning her back on me. It was also disheartening because the other workers did not step in and say anything while the woman yelled at me. I will never return here again and neither will my mother. I simply write this review to inform customers to think twice before going there and if you have an issue do not expect quality customer service. If 0 stars was an option, they wouldn't even get 1. Yesterday I had the most humiliating experience and was so rudely treated by KIM. My normal person left ProfessioNail. I've been going to them at least five years this location and at least 10 years the Ventura location. I live right here at the beach so it's convenient. After waiting 20 min, Someone was working on my pedicure and then KIM came to do my gel manicure. I had peeled all but three nails. KIM started to roughly file my nails with the harshest file and I said no, please do it more gently. You will make my nails too thin. It will destroy them. She rudely said, then how am I supposed to do it. I said, more softly and then she yelled in Vietnamese to Linda and it was obvious to all she was talking about me. Very mean, loud, embarrassing and humiliating. They continued very loudly, their Vietnamese conversation about me and I said, never mind, just get have someone else do my nails. KIM never apologized and stormed off and no one ever came back to do my nails. I was in the middle of a pedicure or I would have left. Here's the issue, when I've gone for five years it's never very busy at this location. After being there so much I decided it was due to the poor way they treat their customers. I've watched them completely judge, ignore, talk about people when they leave both in English and Vietnamese. Very uncomfortable, but I went for my person. This office run by Ann has no Manager on site and it's obvious many people working their don't care. They are so unprofessional, and do what they want. Of course I'm sure I'm not the only one who has observed this and quite frankly this reflects directly on the Ventura ProfessioNail location too. I will never return. My wife went to get nail color change and the lady who did it was sooo pushy and unprofessional, she never stablished a conversation with her (I was there), only 2 times she talked: trying to "get" more money to "replace" a "loose" nail, in her opinion, my wife told her NO, (and by the way,2 weeks later...nail is fine). as soon she said no, the lady got mad...and started talking in her native languaje with others coworkers and continue like this until we left.Please do not get me wrong, am ok if somebody talk in a different languaje but not 90% of the time with a client on front of you and laughin and loud.At the time I paid, she told me: is $20, I  had the bill in my hand and she snatched the bill from my hand in a very unrespecful way.First amd las time there. The clinician, Jennifer, is an expert at pedicures.  It was amazing that she was so thorough and my toes were perfect and my feet were so smooth.  The person who did my nails was not professional or considerate, but my nails turned out ok.The incessant, cross-the-room talking among the employees gets a bit annoying, especially since none of them, except for Jennifer, seem to acknowledge the customers. I have to say that the seeming lack of sanitation here was so scary that I don't feel that I should return.  It seemed that instruments were used over and over (each nail person carries a bin around with their clippers, etc.) without sterilizing and I didn't see anyone spray disinfectant on the tubs. I rarely get my nails done but customer service was awful. Came here to get a refill. The lady only talked to me when she kept repeating that she saved me $3 and called me a liar because I didn't notice that one of my acrylics was kind of close to falling off. If I would've known I wouldn't have minded paying 3 whole dollars instead of her calling me a liar.All the other time she talking very loudly to her Co workers in Vietnamese and she kept hurting me. She nicked me 4 times, made me bleed and never apologized. They don't pay attention to customers at all. And they kept dissing other nail salons saying that they charge more because of more equipment than other nail salons. I got a gel manicure and when the lady was done, I thought it looked okay. But the only thing was, my nails were cut very un-evenly. This bothered me a lot. Decided to try this place since I was told by someone that gets her nails done here that they don't use the drill if you don't want them to.  I get very bad anxiety with the sound of the drill and sometimes they drill more than they should.  I was just told that they have to use the drill or else I can't get my nails done.  They lied to me, this is not true.  I will never go to them,  not even for my pedicure.  Very dissapointed, especially because I know they do put on full sets without using the drill. So this place.... where do I begin?  The salon is very loud as the employees speak loudly amongst  themselves.  The worst part about this was I had an appointment and showed up to the salon and sat there for 15 minutes before anyone even told me that the girl was doing a wax.   and then the girl that I had the appointment with came out and began doing a manicure on somebody else after she acknowledged that I was sitting in the chair at her station! Please keep in mind I had an appointment held for one week before.   When I asked if I had an appointment,  they all looked dumbfounded and then simply said,  yes, I had appointment but nobody offered to even assist me. This to me is a classic example of poor customer service that is why I am choosing to let all of you yelpers know about professionail  in Port Hueneme. worst place ever! i came here for a pedicure and the woman who did it didn't say one word to me, i asked her to scrub my feet in a specific place... literally as dull as my ex in bed. i'm 8 months pregnant and if i could reach down and do it myself i would. when she went to paint my nails after done she lost the polish and her co worker asked me where i put it, i replied with no sorry she took it when i sat down. they began speaking in vietnamise and laughing. i was about to walk out as she all of a sudden found it.... back on the shelf where she put it. obviously i didn't take it as i'd been sitting in this chair the whole time. When I gave the women my card she said my total was 22 dollars. When she came back she charged my card 23 I asked why and her Co worker stated that they charge $1 and if I don't like it to pay cash, it xplained to her I don't mind but she should tell her customers that before they charge us. She stated that it was because they don't speak English I said that's not my problem when clearly she speaks English well. She got upset and started yelling, I told the lady that did my nails to ask her Co worker for the tip as her customer service just cost her anything from me. HORRIBLE! I asked to have a polish change on my toes and they said $10. She starts to take off my polish and realizes it's taking just a little bit more time that I had gel then regular nail polish and tells me she has to charge a extra $10! $20 for a polish change? That was ridiculous I could scrap off my polish myself for free. They were rude and didn't care, always wanna throw more money in customers face plus there pamphlet says $40 for pink & white French tips with gel and she said it was $55!! I got a manicure and pedicure here two weeks ago while visiting friends. It was BY far the best mani and pedi I've ever had in my life. This sounds insane, and yea, I have had many manicures and pedicures before, but they did such an unbelievable job. The staff was very kind and was just as concerned with their clients comfort and happiness as they were about the job they were doing. TWO WEEKS later my gel manicure has not chipped one bit and still looks brand new. The regular polish pedi is also completely I chipped and looks like it was done yesterday. I HIGHLY recommend them. I usually walk in, so get different techs each time.  This last time I got Linda Dung Tran, who never spoke to me but had plenty to say in Vietnamese  to the other workers.  At the end I requested she clean up a little polish off my skin and I had bumped the corner of one of the nails and asked if she would please patch it.  She proceeded to remove the polish and when I said she could just touch it up, she proceeded to tell me I was too picky and she knew if she touched it up she would just have to redo it anyway. She went on about my pickiness for the next 5 minutes.  I don't think it's being picky to ask them to clean up a mess they make on your skin. They usually do a decent job on your mani-pedi, but I sure wish they read the YELP reviews and took some of the criticism to heart.  I wouldn't use Linda again, I don't need my manicurist to be b*tchy to me. I had not had my nails done in 12 years until this past September when I went to a different nail salon in the same shopping center as this place. I gave the other place three times to get it right and they were always messed up. I came into ProfessioNail and ask them to fix the mess that the last place had done, and they turned out so fantastic I was overly impressed. I've cheated on ProfessioNail twice since our relationship and I've regretted it everytime. When ProfessioNail does my nails they stay on for over two weeks and they never ever skimped on coats of polish. Would give a zero if I could.  New to the area and my second horrible experience at a nail salon here in the area.  I didn't check Yelp before I went here but now that I'm writing this review I see that it's only got three stars and horrible reviews.  I waited for 40 minutes and during that time frame another woman left because she was tired of waiting.  All the workers were speaking Vietnamese and talking $h!t about all the customers every time one of them asked for something or changed their minds.  I asked for long nails with a French tip but I got three different colored nails.  I asked for light pink across my French tip and was told that it would turn the white into yellow.  I will attach a photo with the light pink I had at home to do what I was asking them to do.  It is why I was paying them.  But I had to finish their job at home.  The worker there told me to go home and paint it myself.  Horrible place.  Very rude people and very UNprofessional. I give this place 3 stars because I've had 1 or 2 bad experiences. Nevertheless , they were able to redeem themselves for me to go back . I usually go for the spa pedicure or gel manicure / full set .  Service is good except when it's super packed .  Then you feel like you're there forever since I'm always a walk in customer.  I'm sure making an appointment in advance is beneficial if your in a rush to go in and out. Dear Professionails in Oxnard,I am an extremely busy woman. Getting my nails done is one of the only luxuries I give myself. And it ain't cheap either. And I am a good tipper.I cheated on my usual place today because I just didn't want to drive all the way to Thousand Oaks. I won't make that mistake again.I don't understand why I wanted 20 min when I had an appointment and you had employees playing on their phones in the back.But I was polite and smiled and waited.I didn't appreciate the rolled eyes when you finally sat me and I informed you that the water was ice cold.I apologized for being so difficult, "sorry, ha ha".I had my magazines and was trying to show you that I prefer no chit chat and these are some of the only quiet moments in my life, but you continued to talk my ear off, even when I faked a phone call.I smiled and answered your questions.Kept telling myself that you were just trying to do your job and I should be polite.I showed you the color gel I was looking for. You brought me your box of gel colors and the one I wanted was not there. No big deal, I'll just pick another one. I asked one last time if there were any more colors and was told no."Okay, I'll take this one then."I was not trying to be difficult when I kept pulling back my hands every time you cut me while filing my nails. "Your hands are so sensitive." No.....no they aren't.At this point my fingers are on fire and I don't know why. Her grip on my fingers is getting firmer and firmer so I don't pull them away. Finally I say, "You're hurting me." Followed by my, I'm sorry giggles.Her boss comes over and takes over. No more burning. No more cutting. YAY!!!!!!But then the gel needed to be applied. Original girl comes back. Now it is uncomfortable as she is obviously upset with me, and I am feeling guilty. GUILTY!!!!!Finally I am done, and I go to pay. No one said sorry or anything. So am beyond upset, but I hold it in. Then, right after I pay, I see another set of gel colors.
