Rude customer service. Walked in and they didn't even say hi. The owner or whatever she is immediately asked what we wanted. Plus their pedicure is so expensive! What are they? Five star? The location and the inside of the salon is dirty from the get go. Don't bother with these people. Read Less

I have known Brenda and have been a loyal customer for about 15 years. Let me tell you.. she takes pride in her work and takes care of her business. I look forward to my visits because I know that I will be entertained (Michael is hilarious), I'll get my monthly dose of therapy (Brenda is like a BFF you can vent to) and I will be very well taken care of. My nails, both mani and pedi, ALWAYS look amazing and I always leave feeling GREAT!! Her prices are super reasonable and affordable and they offer a variety of services. I read the reviews BEFORE I went to this place for the first time and I still went like a dumb person.....The owner Brenda is AMAZING ! SheKnows a lot about nails and design just by even looking at her - however....her husband is an ass !!!! He's such a jerk sooooo rude !!! I feel bad that Brenda has that disgust in her establishment. Read the rest of the reviews and you will see others commenting in HIM. He started me off and  was telling me I didn't know what I was talking about when I specified in detail how I wanted my nails then he laughed and shook his head. He also told me "just let me finish taking polish off and we can start over" wow !! I refused to let him finish me. Rushed right through my daughters nails. They were super wide, chunky and bumpy. Felt really awkward in this shop. Nail techs should be friendly and genuine. Brenda is Gem! After missing my nail guy of over 25 years and floating from bad shop to worse to stay local, but having to drive all the way to LBC for a decent manicure, I have found a new queen of nails! Brenda & friends at Nails Expo is the best salon in three counties! It's rare to get a walk in appointment due to the high end service, so be sure to make an appointment. I'm only giving 1 star because I'm unable to give 0. I would get mani and pedis here all the time. My fiancé knew to only get me a gift certificate for this salon. I found out I was pregnant so me and my mom decided to go there to get pampered. I brought along my gift certificate that I had been holding onto waiting to redeem for a special occasion. When it was time to pay Brenda did not want to accept my gift certificate. She said it had already been redeemed. Which was impossible. She started making up scenarios of what could have happened. Stating I could have given her the GC number and redeemed it that way. IMPOSSIBLE because I didn't even know that was an option. She also stated that maybe my fiancé bought the certificate for someone else and they redeemed it. (Implying that he gave it to another girl!) and decided to give me the actual certificate and the other girl the gift certificate number. Are you confused yet?! Because I sure was. I could not believe the kind of service I was getting. I was very offended. After about 10 minutes of her arguing with me she said, ugh fine I'll redeem it! With such terrible attitude. I told her if she was planning on redeeming it all along why the heck would she even put me through all of that drama! I couldn't believe it. Michael was amazing and my acrylics have lasted through 3 weeks and still look great! Will be back because of the way he puts detailing into his work and his honesty. I honestly felt pretty gross when I walked in that day, I hadn't gotten my nails done I'm years and was feeling pretty down but they squeezed me In and I felt better after a while being in there seeing how much time they took on me. Would give a zero but can't.The owner and staff were very rude and the guy that helped me made negative comments about my tattoos.  He was giving me $hit for having so many tattoos on my arms.The woman at the front desk quoted me $22-$27 for what I asked for but in the middle of my nails being put on the guy said, "It's going to be $30." After seeing how rude these people were I started to look around the place and saw the floor was dirty by the pedicure station and nothing was labeled sanitized or not sanitized.  These people would get a huge fine if the state board every did a surprise inspection on them.Don't recommend going to these people.  I only went here because it was the closest nail salon to my apartment.  Regretting it already. The service was fast and friendly and very very affordable for the work the Brenda does. Great manicures - Tina does awesome acrylics and fills.  Very reasonably priced, and they don't get angry when you ask the different prices of things. But the real reason to come here is GEL NAIL ART by Brenda!!!Omg the best nail design work I have ever seen, hand painted!She also does 3D nail art!  And she's very funny and entertaining to talk to.Don't listen to other reviewers on here, just go to Brenda for nail art and get your mind blown.  She has more colors of gel nail polish than I've ever seen in my life!!Last place I went to had like 15 to choose from, Brenda has like 150!! While I have been getting gel manicures for well over 2 years now, I recently traveled to Japan where I became obsessed with their talent for gel nail art.  Dilemma as Santa Barbara salons in my experience will not attempt this task. After some lucky yelp searching I came across Brenda's salon and pictures of her work. Impressive! So of course I booked an appointment to see if she was the real deal. Verdict? YES!It's been 3 weeks since my last appointment and my gels (minus the growth) still look amazing! She designed 4 nails freehand, very talented!  (I chose from her selection of designs) however she is happy and willing to  try new designs.While the commute may be long for me, it will be well worth it! My new favorite nail tech for when my nails need more than a basic color, which for those who know me is often! The salon itself is your standard salon.
