I am a native Renoite, my parents are 90 and 88. I found this place about 6 years ago, I was skeptical, but my girlfriend said they were the best. Sydney and all her FAMILY are fantastic!!! I started taking my mom after her stroke (leaving her mentally impaired) and now my dad (can't trim his own toenails anymore) --- they treat them with KID gloves, so sweet to them each and every time. They have always treated me with the utmost respect, we laugh, they chat and it's like a ...party !! Truly. I don't know how anyone can say they are rude or they don't let you choose what you want. It's simply not true with anyone that goes in, while I'm there--NEVER seen it, have seen other customers with huge attitudes.... Respect begets respect, maybe it's not them that needs to work on their peeps skills? Now on to the work itself...I've never had my toes, my moms toes chip, fade or smudge. They trim my moms fingernails while she's getting her toes done so she won't have to sit so long, and they are gentle and sweet with her. She loves going there , even tho she forgets the minute we are in the car. It's clean, sanitary, and all the family does a great job. There is little employee turnover so you always get the same great service. Sydney makes sure of it!! Her brother, Delvin is just as wonderful and the rest of the family do a great job. I stopped by here one morning to get a pedicure. The spa is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. I accidentally messed up my pedicure on one toe and I stopped back in after work and they fixed it immediately. I would stop by again! Read Less

If you're looking for acrylic nails, this place is great, and Helen is your girl! She really does a great job!If looking for a good mani/pedi, this place is not so great... My daughter and I were both disappointed with how our nails looked after our appointment. They cut the nails crooked, didn't fully paint the nails, and didn't exfoliate well enough. With that said, they did give a great leg and foot massage. The manicurist skipped the massage though. I guess she was too busy...Their services are pretty inexpensive, and the quality pretty much matches the pricing. The salon seems clean and neat. The bathroom was decent and the pedicure bins were lined with plastic (though they still have exposed jets). The only thing I'm unsure about is the sterilization of the tools. They weren't in a sealed package, but were just sitting in open bins at the stations. We will be back for the acrylics! Read Less

After lopping off a chunk of my toe during the callus removal because she wasn't paying attention I was then charged full price for a partial pedicure. I was asked not to take the bandage off for a few days because the Chinese remedy should hopefully cure my toe that was grated with the cheese grater. Read Less

I have been coming to Hollywood Nails for almost 6 years now. They are some of the nicest people i have met, they remember my name, and ask about my mom even though she has only been in with me once 3 years ago. I go here once a month for a pedi from Truckee and absolutely love it which is why I choose to have my nails for my wedding done here. I came here with a friend for mani pedis. I found the place to be cute and well maintained. Service was good too. BUT the quality of my manicure paint job is horrible! I could have done better myself. The second coat of my polish is literally only on 2/3 of most nails. It's embarrassing to keep on frankly. And I would have had them fix it but I left before realizing how bad it looked. Wish I could post pictures here. Really disappointing. Read Less
