I made an appointment for gel manicure and eyebrow wax. I received a gift card and wanted to use it. I read reviews and was spectacle about going. I first had my nails done and she did a good job. I will say it was the fastest gel manicure I’ve ever had 25mins. She then took me to the waxing room. I should have known from the start when she starting putting the wax on both the upper and lower eye instead of doing it one at a time. I let her continue thinking she knew what she was doing. I walked out with my eyes burning. Once I got to my car and looked in the mirror, I noticed them to be really red. I thought it would go away after a while. NO IT DIDN’T!!! My eyes are swollen and red and in pain. I wish I could post a picture but there isn’t that option. Please AVOID this place as I don’t think the technicians are trained in waxing. I had terrible experience at the salon..on May 2nd. The receptionist was very nice. I do not treat myself often for pedicure and manicure I was so looking forward to this. The girl that did the pedicure was rude she did not say Hello or even say her name ? the only talking she did was in another language to another girl in the salon. She acted like I was putting her out being I was her last customer maybe she was in a hurry ? I told her my right toe was tender and what does she do? pokes it like crazy as of that day my toe cuticle area on the side is swollen and very tender. She got polish all over my cuticles. I need to take it off. No thank you or anything ! The manicurist did say Hello but not a good job on my nails it was better than the pedicure . My cuticles right now do not look . I had to refile my nails! I brought my own polish it is already wearing off. I have worked with the public and still do customer service. I was a hair stylist for many years and I know how a salon should treat their clients. I am very easy to please but this was a horrible experience. When I left the girl at the desk asked me how was everything I quietly said I was very unhappy. I wanted to talk to her but the manicurist was right next to her leaning over trying to listen Really ? I was tempted to say could we please talk privately ? But I did not want to be rude.I will never return to this salon. I think the girls need to learn some proper manners .......You lost who would have been a good customer !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The salon is clean and well run. It's usually possible to get a same day appointment, except during very busy times (holidays, etc). The manicurists generally do a very good job.

Really disappointed in my services today. Came in for a pedicure and an acrylic fill. She proceeds to fill my nails and paint them while I'm trying to relax while getting a pedicure. When she was finished, I noticed she had bumped the wet paint so I asked her to touch it up, all she does is put clear over it and walks away. As I was sitting with my feet and hands under the dryer, I notice how bad the paint job really was. She missed areas completely. I made the decision I'd just go home and repaint it myself or I'd have to live with nails that looked like my 2 year old son painted! I left feeling like I just wasted $60 as the ladies working on me weren't pleasant at all, they rushed through my services and I have to paint my nails over again. Once I got home to take off the polish, my jaw hit the floor when I saw how bad of a job she did with my fill! She left lifted areas under the new acrylic, she even put acrylic over polish she didn't remove in one area! She didn't shorten the nails at all too. (See pics) From now on, I'm doing my own nails. All I wanted was to relax after moving and renovating my new house the last 3 weeks. This was my husband's treat to me for working hard and also being stuck at home with our son. Guess it was too much to ask to be treated as well as the rich ladies that come in and get pampered all the time. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

I am extremely picky and I always leave beyond happy at how flawless my nails look! Even my mom and dad have been going to Vi just as long and they drive from Cupertino, because she is the best! Went to Bollinger in Livermore for years and followed them to Pleasanton after that location closed. I was bummed that my favorite tech, Vi was no longer there, but ended up finding her at Top Shelf Salon in Pleasanton. Will continue to go to Bollinger for my services - the owner, Michelle, has always been so nice and always remembers me and my mom!

I booked an appointment but was still left waiting for my technician for 10 minutes. You choose your polish from the nail tips and not the bottle which was strange and not great for me.The salon is spectacular, great chairs, polish stations, drying station and waiting area.However, my mani/pedi was only average and the polish was put on sloppily.With so many other salons in Pleasanton to try out, it is unlikely I will be back.

My wife and daughter went here to get their nails done. They both had gel done on the hands and regular polish on the toes plus pedicures. The salon was busy that day but my wife had maybe a 2mins massage on her legs and my daughter didn't get one at all.I just got my credit card statement in and it was $177.00 and my wife tipped them cash.My wife said she looked at the cc copy and asked why it was so much. The woman at the counter tried to say that was a good deal.I called them today and asked how much and I was told $125. That is approx what my wife has paid in the past. When I questioned the lady her heavy Asian accent came out and she laughed and said "so sorry". Could not explain the price we were charged but then tried to justify the price. Would not give a partial refund just couldn't explain the charge. I asked why they do post their prices on the wall.....just laughed again and said "you silly"We will never go back here again, complete rip off.

My daughter and I dropped in for a Pedi, they took us right away no waiting. This Pedi was the BEST experience both my daughter and I have ever had. The leg message and hot towel leg wraps were outstanding, I was trying not to doze I was so relaxed, my legs are so smooth they feel like silk, the sea salt scrub was worth the extra charge. The salon is very quiet, relaxing and really soothing, the chairs and whirlpool tubs are so comfortable, the water was a perfect temperature. I highly recommended this salon the staff is very friendly only thing missing was a glass of Wine!! LOL

So I have come here four times total and each time I always hope for just a fluke experience as to why this salon is so crummy. I went last Thursday and this is what my nails look like less than a week later. But let's start with service. I got a regular mani pedi and got upsold on the scrub (without my knowledge) because they do it without letting you know it is an extra charge. Also the lady made me bleed on multiple nails while doing my mani. She never apologized or anything! Rude!!!! Then asked me to pay for my toes separately? Seems fishy... then I asked if I could pay for both together and said that normally this wasn't allowed. Odd? It was the same lady who did my nails and toes so why would I pay separately? To pay for a higher tip? Then once she was done she just left me without saying anything. She also didn't mention how long it may take for my nails to dry. So I left and smudged them because they weren't dry yet. I went back to get them fixed so they would look good after I just forked over a mini fortune (just for regular nail polish) so in all I paid $50 before tip. Not terrible but not great. They provide crappy service and not very good workers :( sad to say it but they really suck! Salon looks beautiful but that's about it. They charge by their location but there service is so crummy I would never recommend this place! Also I picked out two colors for my nails and toes. Didn't have either.

I've been seeing Lily for 2 years. I've had other girls, and some have done HORRIBLE paint jobs. Most of the girls are decent. But the last two times Lily has helped me, she's made comments about my fat knees and the second time it went beyond that to my upper arms. Horribly rude, unprofessional and hurtful. I tried to fill out the online form for complaining, and it goes nowhere. So I just will not return. It's very pricey, but I don't need someone to remind me my older skin is sagging now in places. I've read through some reviews, and it reminded me they do not clean the pedicure bowls between clients. So I'm off to find another salon.

Booked an appt for my friends and I last Wed. I'm grateful for the convenient location. I find this to be the most relaxing, spacious, beautiful, nail salon I've been to. There is a calming sense of quiet there, it's more spa-like.Not only is it gorgeous and quiet, it's very well ventilated- there aren't a lot of fumes. I went for the most expensive pedicure, and it was money well spent. So therapeutic to have that hot wax, leg massage, and warm towels. It's great that you can sit and view color options, takes the pressure off of me to decide quickly. I feel like they really take their time. What wonderful treat for my feet!

I live in Pleasanton and have been coming here for years! This is hands down my favorite nail salon for these reasons:1. First of all the salon is the most beautiful nail salon I've ever been to. The interior design is gorgeous and the most spa-like, relaxing place to be in while getting your nails done.2. The salon has great ventilation and doesn't have a chemical smell inside (which I love!!)3. Taylor and Pauline are the BEST. They never get paint on my cuticles and I always leave loving how my nails look.4. I love how this place is located on main street in Pleasanton's charming downtown. There's a Peet's right across the street and a wine bar next door. I've seen people order a glass of wine and cheese to have while they get their nails done. 5. Staff is always super friendly. I've been to majority of the bollinger nail locations but today's by far was THE best I've had out of all. I work so close to this one so I decided to spoil myself after work one day. It was last minute so I called and they were able to save a spot for me right away. I got Pauline for my pedicure and she was literally the sweetest. She took her time and made sure I was completely comfortable. The best part however was how long she took on my massage. Wasn't too rough nor too gentle and I felt like I was going to fall asleep in the chair. After all the extra details she took the time to make sure I liked the color I chose, because we all know they look different sometimes once on the nails. She did an amazing job and I promise you this is who I'll be asking for every time I return now.

Really disappointed the last two times I've been here. Staff is pushy, unfriendly, and is working as fast as they can to get you out, while not caring about the quality of service. My manicure took 15 minutes, and I had to point out mossed steps, misshappen nails, and my massage was so hard I winced in pain. Used to LOVE coming here and the color is wonderful, but I am NOT happy especially after being stabbed with a nail file to clean under my nails.What a shame- used to say the price was worth the service, now its just another overpriced half ass shop.

Ugh. So beware even if you book a certain service they will try to up sell. Make sure you know the name of what you want, saying basic pedicure isn't enough. I got overcharged because I didn't know the name of what I wanted and said basic, but said signature because I didn't know what I was talking about to be honest. They didn't clarify even though I was booked for a spa pedicure ($28 versus $40). The signature pedicure lasted just 5 min more and had a oddly bright day glo scrub on my legs and feet and then some warm wax treatment for a bit. My feet don't feel soft or smooth and they didn't scrub more than 30 seconds total with a pumice. They look and feel the same. Worst part is the polish job is horrible, super messy and all over my skin. I could do it better myself. The only stars are for comfy chairs and polish color selection. You can also bring your own alcohol and celebrate here during.

After reading the reviews I was really nervous that I was going to regret going here.. but it was the only place in downtown pleasanton that either a) didn't require an appointment or b) actually does full acrylic sets. (Which was weird to me but I guess several of the nail salons here just do regular manicures...) So glad I stuck it out despite the reviews. Lan did my nails and she is AMAZING. Best nail set I've ever gotten. She was very meticulous and thorough and took her time making sure everything was perfect. I'm in love with them! I'll definitely be back

I used to love coming to this salon.. But I think my appointment yesterday will be the last time I visit this place. I took my mom here for a Mother's Day pedicure. We arrived a few minutes before our appointment time and were seated around 1pm. Honestly everything was dirty.. Which was surprising.. But the chairs had clearly not been cleaned in a while. I was poked quite a few times and even said "ouch" during my appointment. Which isn't what I like to enjoy during my "spa treatment."They were out of 2 colors I requested. So I went with a 3rd choice.And to top it all off... I looked at the time and my pedicure didn't even last 20minutes. This place is the most expensive in the area.. Why should I continue to pay a premium price for a less than premium experience? So sad.. Loved this place but I won't be coming back any more.

My pedicurist didn't wrap the polish all the way around the edge of my nails, meaning they snag and scrape on everything and are now more prone to chipping. $35 for a pedicure that might last a few weeks if I'm careful doesn't seem a worthwhile investment.
Edit: I had my pedicure Friday, it is now Monday (3 days later) and the polish on one of my nails has chipped. What a waste!

When I first went in I asked for a manicure 1 solid color and because I have thin nails from my previous wear and tear of acrylics I asked for powder to set on my nails to harden them. They told me it would be $55. I didn't want to spend that much, nor have I ever spent $55 on literally painting my nails. Anywho,$38 dollars later and I walk out with shellac polish on my nails. This was all on Sunday It's now Tuesday and my nails are chipping. I've never had such a shitty job done on my nails and I get them done bimonthly.

I came in for an event and got a shellac manicure - service was rushed and sloppy. Only a few days later did my nails start peeling, which is insane for a shellac manicure that I could get at half the price somewhere else and have it last three times as long. All I had to do was call to get them re-done, and I got the feeling they knew who did my nails. This time, the job lasted weeks!It's a beautiful location, huge and modern, however I wouldn't recommend going here for the price. Check out the one down the street for perfect service.

I made the decision I'd just go home and repaint it myself or I'd have to live with nails that looked like my 2 year old son painted! I left feeling like I just wasted $60 as the ladies working on me weren't pleasant at all, they rushed through my services and I have to paint my nails over again. Once I got home to take off the polish, my jaw hit the floor when I saw how bad of a job she did with my fill! She left lifted areas under the new acrylic, she even put acrylic over polish she didn't remove in one area! She didn't shorten the nails at all too. (See pics) From now on, I'm doing my own nails. All I wanted was to relax after moving and renovating my new house the last 3 weeks. This was my husband's treat to me for working hard and also being stuck at home with our son. Guess it was too much to ask to be treated as well as the rich ladies that come in and get pampered all the time. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Went to Bollinger in Livermore for years and followed them to Pleasanton after that location closed. You choose your polish from the nail tips and not the bottle which was strange and not great for me.The salon is spectacular, great chairs, polish stations, drying station and waiting area.However, my mani/pedi was only average and the polish was put on sloppily.With so many other salons in Pleasanton to try out, it is unlikely I will be back.

My daughter and I dropped in for a Pedi, they took us right away no waiting. This Pedi was the BEST experience both my daughter and I have ever had. The leg message and hot towel leg wraps were outstanding, I was trying not to doze I was so relaxed, my legs are so smooth they feel like silk, the sea salt scrub was worth the extra charge. The salon is very quiet, relaxing and really soothing, the chairs and whirlpool tubs are so comfortable, the water was a perfect temperature. I highly recommended this salon the staff is very friendly only thing missing was a glass of Wine!! LOL

So I have come here four times total and each time I always hope for just a fluke experience as to why this salon is so crummy. I went last Thursday and this is what my nails look like less than a week later. But let's start with service. I got a regular mani pedi and got upsold on the scrub (without my knowledge) because they do it without letting you know it is an extra charge. Also the lady made me bleed on multiple nails while doing my mani. She never apologized or anything! Rude!!!! Then asked me to pay for my toes separately? Seems fishy... then I asked if I could pay for both together and said that normally this wasn't allowed. Odd? It was the same lady who did my nails and toes so why would I pay separately? To pay for a higher tip? Then once she was done she just left me without saying anything. She also didn't mention how long it may take for my nails to dry. So I left and smudged them because they weren't dry yet. I went back to get them fixed so they would look good after I just forked over a mini fortune (just for regular nail polish) so in all I paid $50 before tip. Not terrible but not great. They provide crappy service and not very good workers :( sad to say it but they really suck! Salon looks beautiful but that's about it. They charge by their location but there service is so crummy I would never recommend this place! Also I picked out two colors for my nails and toes. Didn't have either.

I've been seeing Lily for 2 years. I've had other girls, and some have done HORRIBLE paint jobs. Most of the girls are decent. But the last two times Lily has helped me, she's made comments about my fat knees and the second time it went beyond that to my upper arms. Horribly rude, unprofessional and hurtful. I tried to fill out the online form for complaining, and it goes nowhere. So I just will not return. It's very pricey, but I don't need someone to remind me my older skin is sagging now in places. I've read through some reviews, and it reminded me they do not clean the pedicure bowls between clients. So I'm off to find another salon.

Booked an appt for my friends and I last Wed. I'm grateful for the convenient location. I find this to be the most relaxing, spacious, beautiful, nail salon I've been to. There is a calming sense of quiet there, it's more spa-like.Not only is it gorgeous and quiet, it's very well ventilated- there aren't a lot of fumes. I went for the most expensive pedicure, and it was money well spent. So therapeutic to have that hot wax, leg massage, and warm towels. It's great that you can sit and view color options, takes the pressure off of me to decide quickly. I feel like they really take their time. What wonderful treat for my feet!

I live in Pleasanton and have been coming here for years! This is hands down my favorite nail salon for these reasons:1. First of all the salon is the most beautiful nail salon I've ever been to. The interior design is gorgeous and the most spa-like, relaxing place to be in while getting your nails done.2. The salon has great ventilation and doesn't have a chemical smell inside (which I love!!)3. Taylor and Pauline are the BEST. They never get paint on my cuticles and I always leave loving how my nails look.4. I love how this place is located on main street in Pleasanton's charming downtown. I've been to majority of the bollinger nail locations but today's by far was THE best I've had out of all. I work so close to this one so I decided to spoil myself after work one day. It was last minute so I called and they were able to save a spot for me right away. I got Pauline for my pedicure and she was literally the sweetest. She took her time and made sure I was completely comfortable. The best part however was how long she took on my massage. Wasn't too rough nor too gentle and I felt like I was going to fall asleep in the chair. After all the extra details she took the time to make sure I liked the color I chose, because we all know they look different sometimes once on the nails. She did an amazing job and I promise you this is who I'll be asking for every time I return now.

Really disappointed the last two times I've been here. Staff is pushy, unfriendly, and is working as fast as they can to get you out, while not caring about the quality of service. My manicure took 15 minutes, and I had to point out mossed steps, misshappen nails, and my massage was so hard I winced in pain. Used to LOVE coming here and the color is wonderful, but I am NOT happy especially after being stabbed with a nail file to clean under my nails.What a shame- used to say the price was worth the service, now its just another overpriced half ass shop.

Ugh. So beware even if you book a certain service they will try to up sell. Make sure you know the name of what you want, saying basic pedicure isn't enough. I got overcharged because I didn't know the name of what I wanted and said basic, but said signature because I didn't know what I was talking about to be honest. They didn't clarify even though I was booked for a spa pedicure ($28 versus $40). The signature pedicure lasted just 5 min more and had a oddly bright day glo scrub on my legs and feet and then some warm wax treatment for a bit. My feet don't feel soft or smooth and they didn't scrub more than 30 seconds total with a pumice. They look and feel the same. Worst part is the polish job is horrible, super messy and all over my skin. I could do it better myself. The only stars are for comfy chairs and polish color selection. You can also bring your own alcohol and celebrate here during.

After reading the reviews I was really nervous that I was going to regret going here.. but it was the only place in downtown pleasanton that either a) didn't require an appointment or b) actually does full acrylic sets. (Which was weird to me but I guess several of the nail salons here just do regular manicures...) So glad I stuck it out despite the reviews. Lan did my nails and she is AMAZING. Best nail set I've ever gotten. She was very meticulous and thorough and took her time making sure everything was perfect. I'm in love with them! I'll definitely be back

I used to love coming to this salon.. But I think my appointment yesterday will be the last time I visit this place. I took my mom here for a Mother's Day pedicure. We arrived a few minutes before our appointment time and were seated around 1pm. Honestly everything was dirty.. Which was surprising.. But the chairs had clearly not been cleaned in a while. I was poked quite a few times and even said "ouch" during my appointment. Which isn't what I like to enjoy during my "spa treatment."They were out of 2 colors I requested. So I went with a 3rd choice.And to top it all off... I looked at the time and my pedicure didn't even last 20minutes. This place is the most expensive in the area.. Why should I continue to pay a premium price for a less than premium experience? So sad.. Loved this place but I won't be coming back any more.

My pedicurist didn't wrap the polish all the way around the edge of my nails, meaning they snag and scrape on everything and are now more prone to chipping. $35 for a pedicure that might last a few weeks if I'm careful doesn't seem a worthwhile investment.
Edit: I had my pedicure Friday, it is now Monday (3 days later) and the polish on one of my nails has chipped. What a waste!

They told me it would be $55. I didn't want to spend that much, nor have I ever spent $55 on literally painting my nails. Anywho,$38 dollars later and I walk out with shellac polish on my nails. This was all on Sunday It's now Tuesday and my nails are chipping. I've never had such a shitty job done on my nails and I get them done bimonthly.

I came in for an event and got a shellac manicure - service was rushed and sloppy. Only a few days later did my nails start peeling, which is insane for a shellac manicure that I could get at half the price somewhere else and have it last three times as long. All I had to do was call to get them re-done, and I got the feeling they knew who did my nails. This time, the job lasted weeks!It's a beautiful location, huge and modern, however I wouldn't recommend going here for the price. Check out the one down the street for perfect service.
