I am sad to say that my experience was not the best. I need to have a thicker acrylic nail for my work and I am baffled as to why it presents a problem for anyone who works at a nail salon. I guess it takes more time to do a good job, but I would have no problem paying a little more for a job well done. With that said, I found out she charged me more when she rang me up. Aside from dealing with the looks, attitude and thoughtless handling of my hands...we'll I guess you can see for yourself with the attached photos. I was really hoping this would be a good experience. The polish was pretty sloppy and uneven, I have polish on my fingers, and I will have to take the edge off the tips so they don't scratch my clients. I was asked to dry my nails where one of the bulbs were out. Trying to be helpful, I let her know a bulb was out and she got mad at me and started complaining to a coworker saying everyone uses it and it is fine. Mind you, I never complained or said anything negative, I just asked for what I needed. When it was time to pay, I found out it was 40 instead of 25. I was okay with the 5$ for thicker nails, but I told the gal on the phone about the thicker nails and she never said it would be more than 25. I did need to have a nail redone, so the 3$ is normal for that. The 7$ for the pink acrylic when I wasn't charged extra at any other place prior was surprising. She never told me there was an extra charge and I really felt taken advantage of. Really sad. I wanted to share my experience so other women aren't taken advantage of regarding this kind of stuff. If you are the owner reading this...please ask your workers not to discriminate against customers. We should not be treated harshly, mocked, or ridiculed because we need our nails, hands, or feet to be handled differently from the norm. I had my whole experience typed out but yelp told me it's too long so I'll make it simple. I asked for a basic white fill with 2 broken nails that I don't mind paying for & a French pedicure. They asked if I wanted gel for my toes & I agreed cause I was going to Cabo the next day. All of that cost me $100. I've gotten fancy nails in Beverley Hills that cost less than that for literally the 2 most basic things you could possibly do. Not to mention they cut me twice, and use that powder to nail stuff where they just dip your nail in & go over it with a top coat. The lazy way to manicure. $100 for what I got is absolutely ridiculous. There are better places around for way less (PK on Clayton rd)As if that's not bad enough, take a look at the immature comments left by the manager on some of these reviews. Telling costumers to "proof read" their reviews & that this is the Bay Area, things are more expensive, my favorite is "FYI 90% of our costumers are happy with us"... then why respond?  Unprofessional and way overpriced. This 5-star review is for Vivian and all the ladies who give pedis.  Vivian does a really nice job.  I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years now and she is one of the best.  I always receive compliments on how nice my nails look and they last for three or four weeks (sometimes longer) without any chipping away.  (Unfortunately, this was not the case with someone that is not Vivian - so please make your appointment with Vivian.)The ladies who work on pedicures are also very good.  I love the hot stone massage and am always impressed with the outcome. My sister grandma and I walked in yesterday without an appointment (not knowing they closed at 3 on Saturdays) it was about 2:30 and we just wanted pedicures, and they accepted us in with only 30 minutes left of them being open.
