I do not recommend star Nails, they are very unprofessional and unorganised. My mother and I went in today to get our nails done and they said 15 minutes and we went across the street and got Starbucks and went back to the nail salon and they were letting people in to get their nails done and they weren’t signed in and we were and my mom said we are signed in and they threw their hands at us and we left. I got a full set on Saturday; it’s now Wednesday and a nail has just popped off. When I was at the shop, I asked the lady doing my nails to please make them rounded and she either did not understand me, or didn’t want to do it, so I ended up with squared tips. This set cost me $35 and I definitely don’t think I got my money’s worth. I’m new to the area and I chose this place based on proximity and I won’t be doing that again. My girlfriends and I went in for a pedi and I was happily surprised. It was my first time there. My pedi was great, wonderful massage, products smelled great and they were very nice. Only reason not a 5 is that they don't use plastic bags for the bowls but they do seem to clean them very well! Will go again when in town! THANKS! Read Less

I went In with my friend as a spur of the moment decision. I have been getting my nails done for about two years and know what is acceptable and what is not. I'm not sure of his name but it was the young guy in the second desk that did my nails and he missed the Fill on my left pointer finger and he forgot to file the gel polish off of my left pinky finger and each time I pointed it out that he had forgotten to do it his exact words were "oh shit" on my right thumb near the tip there was a big gel polish bubble and it was super bumpy. The edges of almost all of my nails are super jagged and sharp. The tips of my nails didn't get any nail polish at all. And my middle finger on my left hand is all bumpy in the acrylic because I had a crack in it and he tried to repair it by just slapping more acrylic on the top. He charge me $30 and I did not tip. Another thing I found pretty annoying was when I walked in to ask if they could take two walk-in fills and they said yes. I waited 1 hr before they were able to help me and I was late to an appointment I had.   And when he filled them he did not fill them close to my cuticles at all nor did they offer to push back my cuticles. Overall not happy at all with this nail salon and I'm going to go see if I can get my money back because I have to go to my normal salon to get them fixed because they are so bad. It's hard for me to even give them one star because they dont deserve it . And mind you I went in on Wednesday around 3:30 pm. UPDATE: So I went into see if I could get a refund I was very calm did not raise my voice one time. The owner of the salon was yelling and cursing at me. Went in for fills on my acrylic nails, instead of talking to me and telling me which station to sit at she just waved her hand at me to come back and walked up front for at least 10 minutes and left me not knowing where to sit. Not sure why there's so many bad reviews on this place. A friend got me a gift certificate and I called an hour & a half before making an appt to check that they had enough people to do a mani/pedi at the same time. I got in right away and got really good service. Sometimes places like this overbook, and I frequently get my nails/toes done. This place is good, clean & tools are sterile (important to me). Avoid this place! Prices are competitive but service is not great. My pedicure was fine, a bit rough massage, but she adjusted when I mentioned it. My problem is when I went to pay. She was mid pedicure on another customer and walked over with her gloves on and took my debit card WITH THE DIRTY GLOVES. Then handed it back to me. So my debit card has some random persons foot funk all over it. My friend got mani and pedi and hates the polish job. Also her technician was quite slow and shakey so the polish is not smooth. I have been here twice since they remolded, and my mani/pedis have been just fine. Not at all bad, not super fantastic. But very good.My biggest disappointment has been in the clients. BOTH times there was a client that simply refused to pay after their service. What?!?! The first time was an older woman that felt she was ripped off, but i heard the conversation (although through very broken English) and she said yes when offered gel. Then refused to pay for the upcharge.Then last week a girl paid for her friends nails then literally said, "I'm not paying for mine though, i'm not happy with my nails" . Again, whatttt?!?! All 10 nails were did and she walked out with all 10 nails done. It was embarassing to see the dishonesty happening. by far the worst pedicure i have had in town. my heels are still cracked, my nails are uneven, and the whole pedicure was rough and uncomfortable. secondly, they don't use protective sleeves in their pedicure bowls. this is a procedure used by most every other salon for sanitary reasons. they are also more expensive, have less color options, and really unfriendly staff.i will never return. Very clean & good customer service. My daughter got a manicure & pedicure. The lady was very nice & gentle. She also did a good job on the nail art. I got a full set with gel polish. My daughter and my self got pedis and full sets. They do not understand English well , nor do they speak English well. I had the drill hit my cuticle more than my nail was bleeding and hurt and she kept doing it . To make matters worse I got and infection and had to go to Dr. They did not use clean or new files or drill heads. The don't do the nail art they have displayed, and the nails were  chunky and the shape was awful I will never go back. To top it off the bill was 160 for 2 pedis and 2 full sets nothing fancy. Sorry to say this but not happy at allThe guy that did my nails talked a good game. Told me how he worked in his friends shop in NY and turned it around. Now this shop needs help they called him.  Well if that's the case it will close again soon. I had him take my nails all the way down and start with new set. After 4 days had to go back. It was like the product was bad. It was brittle and cracking. My nails were lifting (I told him primer twice. He said no he uses No lift)Dan the Man not so great!!I've had nails 30+ years. Went in because my normal nail place wS super busy and I didn't have time to wait. I got a manicure. Asked for round nails because of the type of work I do it makes it easier so my nails don't catch. I ended up with square nails. If she were to round them they would of been super short since she cut them down first. My nail polish is different shades as if there's air bubbles under the gel polish.I also got an eye brow wax which I should of known not to do. She completely waxed my eyebrows straight my arch is gone. There is still left over hair. She also ended up waxing my eye lid as well. I had an excellent pedicure here for only $25! It is recently under new management. The pedicurist was very courteous, professional, friendly, and gave a great lower calf massage! I saw the sign that said "15% off for all services" but what it really means is "15% off when you get the mani/pedi, only".  The pedicure I got was typical, nothing outstanding.   Just really disappointed in their definition of what "all services"  means. Read Less

I just went here and the gentleman that did my fill was very rough on my nails/cuticles. He did not exactly listen to what I was asking pertaining to the shape and what I wanted. I'm not sure why this salon has only 2 stars, I had a wonderful experience here today. I didn't have an appointment, and almost all of the chairs were full. I only waited about 3 minutes before I was getting my manicure done. I got a gel manicure and it was done quickly and very well. The manicurist paid a lot of attention to detail and made sure to clean up my nails really nicely, he did a really good job! As soon as I was done with the manicure I was moved to a comfy chair for my pedicure. The woman cleaned up my toes so well! I haven't found a salon in the area that pays so close attention to my toe nails and I was happily surprised with my pedicure! She scrubbed my feet, gave me a sugar scrub up my calves, and of course a massage afterwards. Everything felt really great and I had an overall great experience here. I had three separate people working on my nails. They came out exactly as I envisioned. All of the manicurists here are perfectionists and completely love what they do. Only $25 for my full set & polish. The best part, they didn't nick me or hurt me once!Update: One of my nails broke only a week later. I didn't even notice when it happened so I guess it didn't take much to break one. I work at a computer all day so I don't even know what could've caused it. I finally decided today to get a gel manicure with them!Once I walked in I was helped. He asked me for my color. Once I decided on it, I told him I wanted a simple design and he said okay!Watching him do my nails I was very happy with because he didn't rush and was thorough with the paint and clean up of my nails. DO NOT GO TO HERE! I went for a manicure and pedicure. I was getting a pedicure and a man came to give me a manicure across my lap - no table, just my hands in the air! He cut my cuticles THREE times. Never said "I'm sorry", just put polish over the bleeding skin. I told him I wanted clear polish, so he only put on base and top coat - no polish! I checked this place out because I got a gift card. While I can't complain about getting a free pedicure, I will never go back. Not only was this place dirty and run down, it reeked of cigarette smoke. My nail tech cut my cuticle too short which caused it to bleed. She did a decent job on the painting of my toes, but the massage and exfoliation you get with a pedicure was maybe 5 minutes long total. Save your toes and/or fingers and go to a different place.
